Around October 2024, I took my ***** work truck to A2Z Transmissions (*****) on the recommendation of a friend, to have the hydraulic system removed, tune-up, brakes, and trans service. On 12/12, I picked up the truck, signed, and paid for the services ($3154.75). Driving home to *********, **, I noticed smoke in the rear. Once I arrived home, I noticed hydraulic fluid sprayed all over the truck, actively leaking while parked. I took pictures and called A2Z to advise the hydraulic pump was NOT removed and was leaking. he did not answer, so I texted him. I also told him the generator was cut and placed upside down (we did not authorize this). He said it wasn't anything he did and would be an extra charge. I took the truck to another local mechanic for an estimate (attached). Tried to call A2Z and text, no response. he's refusing resolution. We also gave him a deposit of $1000 for a new engine on another truck which he never provided because I wasn't going to take another vehicle back to him. He hasn't refunded that either.Business Response

Mr ***** fails to mention many many other facts about this transaction. Ill put it simple we did the work in August September as he wanted the items removed we set the old components back in his vehicle bed and left items in place un bolted. Hes lucky he got his vehicle at all as it set on the property complete for over 3 months. He has never contacted us further about this transaction he also fails to mention he wrote a check that bounced in the amount of $3400 which has been submitted to the *******************************. He made an order for a van engine thru us for a ****** reman unit which had a restocking fee of over $1000 as we had it for a few months and the van never materialized. A lot like Mr ****** text and thoughts and how he didnt care about this bed on this truck as he was planning on removing it with us to replace it with a different service body. We have all our documentation for this vehicle parts time video footage obviously bounced check documentation as well. We he also tried to reverse a credit card transaction as well however it was quickly Handled and the merchant services company sided with us work was completed as agreed . We are very sorry the hydraulic fluid spilled in the bed of the truck I did advise him to return it back and we would do what we could to clean it up removing items and wanting them back is tricky we did what we could however him not realizing his items were in the back of his truck doesnt fall on us he knew they were in there. Hes simply trying to get something he isnt owed he was taken care of exceptionally way and in communication with daily when we was told empty promises on which days he would arrive to retrieve his truck I began to have funny feelings about this customer. Now that I have a bad check a despites credit card transaction and now a complaint thru the BBB my suspicion is serving me correct. We have limited space for done vehicles and no time for games and we would be glad to share all our FACTUAL DOCUMENTS with the BBB if they request ! Thank You!!!

Complaint: 23207206
I am rejecting this response because: Yes, one of the many details I did not mention, but will now, is how ***** failed to correctly repair my personal truck (F-150). ***** said that truck would be done in a week. However, after constant nagging, he finally completed it after several weeks. The day I dropped off the F-150 I advised that I was looking to get an engine for a **** work truck and some other work on a ***** work truck. ***** asked me to put $1000 down for the engine. He said, and I quote, "this doesn't commit us to anything". Nothing was signed to commit us to going with him for the engine replacement. I never told him to go ahead with the purchase and advised If he did good work, we'd go with him, if not, I didn't was to commit. After the F-150 was finally completed, my wife drove the ***** work truck and dropped it off in place of the F-150. My wife gave ***** a check out of one of our business accounts. We realized we had other obligations with that money in that account so I immediately called him and told him I would ***** him the money ($3400) but he needed to destroy the check. The truck sat there for 3-4 week before he even started it. When you throw off a schedule, it literally throws off a schedule for pick up as well. Two days later I noticed the F-150 had a severe vibration coming from underneath and he was supposed to fix the oil leak but did not (main reason for us taking it to him). I contacted ***** and we worked out that we needed the F-150 completed before we brought up the ***** because we couldn't have 2 vehicles out of commission at the same time with another with a bad engine. Once the ***** was finally completed, we arranged a day to pick it up. Upon driving home, I noticed a strong burning smell and smoke coming from the rear. As we pulled up to our house, I got out, opened the back and saw hydraulic fluid all over and underneath and spraying up on the tires. Saw the hydraulic tank and lines we not removed and had fluid coming out of them. Immediately contacted ***** to let him know repairs we not completed as we paid for. ***** said he didn't know what the problem was and to bring it back and he'd look at it. I advise I didn't feel comfortable driving it all the way up there. He never responded so I immediately filed a complaint with the bank stating the services I was charge for was not completed. The charge was reversed until the complaint was investigated. ***** gave them a signed document that everyone signs for when you pick up a vehicle that has been repaired (no one leaves with a vehicle then come back to pay and signed for it). The case was closed, and he received the money that we Zelled. During this process, ***** fraudulently tried to cash the check that we told him to destroy. it never bounced, it was more than 60 days old, and he tried to cash it. Which will be addressed with the ******************************** and Attorney general for fraud. The generator was to be kept and use in another vehicle. ***** had it turned upside-down causing all the oil to rush away from it, he cut the wires with bolt cutter and left them live and per the 2nd opinion, it may be ruined. I sent him the pics and he said he would get back with me - never did. As far as the "restocking fee", we never authorized ***** to purchase the engine... why would we take a 3rd vehicle to him when he can't repair correctly the 2 that we already sent him. My thoughts and plans for the bed have no bearing on him. He had no right to destroy the current bed and generator. ***** was told that we were keeping the generator so why would he unprofessionally mishandle and disconnected something the way he did. Technically ***** does owe me because I paid you for services that we never completed - Per 2nd opinion letter. *** proves to be dishonest company as they are taking $1000 that was not authorized to be used and trying to fraudulently cash a void after 60 days check. We have and will provide all necessary documentation. Thank you!!

Its an unfortunate situation this customer has put us into . Facts remain he tried to do a charge back when Serb use was rendered he was 3 months to late to remove his vehicle and items from our facility we should have charged storage charges we didnt . Your lack of communication has landed us here your unwillingness and fake lies as well unfortunately you have a restocking fee as posted again we did everything as agreed and you waited 4 months to file a complaint and tried to do a charge back and wrote a insufficient fund check over $3000 dollars nothing fraudulent from us *** this is on you ! Youre trying to get something for nothing ! You did this same thing on the f150 you claim above but you brought your other truck to be repaired after that one? If we did such a terrible job which I doubt we did considering I just ran a car fax on your truck and it went well over 15k all the way to ***** several times that doesnt sound like a non repaired vehicle . Considering the bank documentation and the credit card reversal we re challenged and won the case its clear your attempting to get something for nothing this business has been and always will be honesty and integrity you should try those same fundamentals!Customer Answer

We were sent a response from the business on Friday 5/9/25. The email stated we had 7 calendar days to respond. Yet, today 5/12/25, I received an email that stated the complaint was closed. Why?Customer Answer

It's obvious that you have equivocated yourself and your company because you keep saying the same lies over and over. Please provide proof that ANY of my vehicles have been to ***** or otherwise since I've owned them! You can't because I haven't been to *****. In response to 3months too late - we dropped off the truck 8/7 and called you 2 weeks later to check the status, and you stated you were too busy and haven't gotten to it yet. 8/24 is when you finally reached out with what was wrong with the truck. Charge back - yes, we tried to cancel the payment because service we NOT completed (as previously stated with pictures sent). We also sent in another mechanics' estimate because of what you charged for but failed to do. lies. Lack of communication? How do you assume? I contacted you the same day and many times after with no response. Late fees? irrelevant. i should've charges you for delays as that was a work vehicle which set back our work weeks. Restocking fee? AGAIN - never mentioned and why would we go back to you for an additional service when you couldn't get the 1st two correct. We gave you a second chance because you were recommended by a friend (who now states they were wrong to refer because so many people have complained about you, your company, and your services.) Upon picking up the F-150 and dropping off the ****** I called 2 days later to advise a puddle of fluid was under truck along with a vibration going around curves. You asked if we could bring it back. I said no because I can't afford to have (2) trucks in the shop at the same time because I work out of them. You didn't win a case with the bank; you provided a signature (misleading) and the bank states all this falls under craftsmanship. Honesty and integrity? That's not what your previous BBB complaints have proven. FACTS - Pics & proof that the hydraulic system is still attached and spraying all over inside and outside of truck (undrivable) - you held onto a $3400 check that you were supposed to dispose of as you were Zelled the money (fraud). Tried to cash said check (more than services rendered) Fraud! You never tried to remedy your poor craftsmanship. Your lack of professionalism and pride in your work leaves your customers wanting. The fact that you didn't respectfully place the equipment in the back of the truck (instead threw it in there) shows how juvenile your respect for people is that pay your bills. You have no honesty or integrity as you pretend. It's basically a smoke screen. If you want to know what a proper business looks like - check out my BBB. No complaints, not accreditation and still A+. in business for 22 years. Any reputable company would try to preserve their name and make this right..... You're not. just lies and smoke screens. Not reputable. Not honest. No integrity. No fundamentals!!Business Response

Your manufactured story seems good! You're trying really hard to paint a vibrant picture of me and my shop when you're the active person trying to scam this repair facility. You wrote a check to our company $3400 it bounced. Funny you don't mention the **** till I brought it all up about your bounced check. Are we talking about your **** or the ***** is the next question. i have the receipts for all the information all texts as I'm sure you do to otherwise; we would be in small claims court by now as you don't have a leg to stand on. The work was clear, and the expectations were as well along with the (I DONT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING IN THERE I NEED IT ALL OUT) to the *** TRYING TO GET A SERVICE BODY FOR THE ****** I stated it would be way easier to remove the items after the body was off. Your lies should stop and trying to get something your owed for free should as well! your estimate again states we did the work described as far as the work is concerned repair work your removal was done to the best of my staffs' abilities this ***** came in the shop in August, you didn't get it until December. we put all your items in the back of your truck respectively as you drove home you must have forgot they were not secured but we did the job as described to us and made more the enough attempts to have you come get the vehicle we had 3 months' worth of it sitting awaiting you to get another bed as we went thru 10 different ones. Let it be noted that throughout this whole time you made no reference to the f-150 even to the day you picked it up the *****, that there was a fictious issue. Attached are a screen shot of proof I told you to bring the ***** back so we could see it you are the reason to your own problem this is all self-inflicted and to your request I have our entire conversations calls text all of it and the Texas shop claiming to have done exactly what we did and then our shop shows up somehow in February of this year on the f-150 . Quit telling lies and stories about me before I tell the truth about you! You waited over 6 months to say anything at all if I have an issue, I get it resolved in days not months and I did make contact I called and texted you to bring it by and let's see but crickets nothing from you. No need to respond anyone that reads any of this is going to understand your clearly not in the right as for the $1000 dollars the sign is on the wall along with all our disclosures 35% restock fee on special ordered parts and deposits are required for special order. I wish nothing but the best for you and your unaccredited business good for you on the years you claim no issues on here but you told me of several so called customers who you stated wrote you a bad checks and had to move money around to pay your guys and then pay us for the work I believe one was for $35000 remember ? My phone does, but I think you should invest your time in writing fictional stories great hobby !Initial Complaint

6/8/2018 had my 1996 impala SS towed in for a transmission rebuild. I asked for beefed up internals to handle up to 500hp. 6-21-2023 I started losing power in 4th gear. Took it to AZ transmission where I originally got it rebuilt. So apparently what I got was a weak transmission, that has too many electrical issues that now the shop that rebuilt it refuses to touch it. Has too many issues the shop mechanic mentioned. Same shop name but different workers and mechanics. I paid $2144.43 for what I thought was a performance transmission with performance stall and internals. Turns out the transmission isn’t electrical wired correctly and can’t handle what the engine produced.Business Response

We would like to be as transparent as possible for everyone on this. First and foremost the previous owners we have absolutely nothing to deal with the old owner *** has passed away . When we acquired the property we rented the building the building was established as a transmission rebuild shop already with the building came the phone number attached. People know the phone number as a transmission repair facility so we opened a DBA close to the name prior which was AZ Transmission Re-builders our DBA name is A2Z Transmissions. As far as the complaint is concerned the customer brought his vehicle here for a diagnostic on his transmission for not shifting properly. The customer did in fact show us the prior owners estimate as shown here it states estimate on the top right corner. We understood the customers concerns regarding his vehicle and did inspect the vehicle per his request which we charge 89.99 plus shop fees and supplies plus sales tax as he signed and acknowledged. Our inspection proved the transmission needed inspected internally which would require a tear down estimate. We opted to not work on this vehicle for many many safety reasons a lot of lines rubbing the exhaust, oil leaks, the frame is bent in many places we determined for our peace of mind it was best to refuse to work on this vehicle due to the many issues. The customer paid the inspection fee and our manager decided to refund the customer his inspection charge back even though we were not liable for anything regarding this vehicle it was simply our choice to refuse to work on the vehicle. If the customer did in fact get his transmission rebuilt with performance parts in 2018 like the estimate says the warranty would not stand as most rebuilds in this industry at that time came with a 1 year or 12,000 mile warranty and most do to this day as well our warranty is 18 month 18,000 mile warranty on rebuilds. PERFORMANCE BUILDS HAVE NO WARRANTY we don't offer performance rebuilds because they are abused and neglected. We can not speak for the prior owners and there warranty options on performance builds or anything for that matter as we are not associated with them. Our conclusion to this matter since it was a situation with the prior business was to simply refuse to get involved and refund the customer his money even though he knew we was not associated with the prior business. We are not sure why we are involved in this matter for being he claimed it was rebuilt for performance reasons in 2018 this is 2023 5 years later I'm quite sure it would not have any warranty at all and there would be no way but to remove the transmission from the car and do a tear down to prove if any performance parts were installed into the unit. We wold ask the BBB to consider not posting this complaint which holds no water with our company to our profile and also see attached all signed documents for our check in process his payment and refund we have done already thank you!
