      Barlett's arborist visited my property and shortly later provided a competitive quote to remove about 8 large dead trees. But just before removal many weeks later as agreed, they suddenly required a safety plan that apparently they did not do before quoting and then after visiting last week, suddenly and recently the arborist called me and backed out of doing the job!!?? Waste of time and very unprofessional in dealing with them. They should not be quoting jobs if they don't know what they are doing.

      I wanted to pass along a recommendation for Bartlett Tree Service. I have them come out to tend to my trees multiple times. This past occasion was to remove a wonderful pin oak that had succumbed to blight. Dan C******* from Bartlett had been advising us on this particular tree for a few years. He is not pushy, simply providing expertise so that the homeowner can make an informed decision. We opted to take the tree down before this winter as the percent of dead limbs had increased and we were worried given the suspicion that our area may have a bad winter. If you are looking at the trees on your property and wondering whether or not they will hold up this winter, then I strongly recommend the tree experts at Bartlett. Dan C******* in particular is excellent. He can also provide alternatives to some of your trees, especially if you are interested in planting native trees or ones that might work best given your soil/light conditions. I have found them to be highly competitive in pricing. I believe they are a great value. They also leave the property well raked and cleaned up.
