I was the victim of dishonest listing agents ***************************** and *************************** and unknowingly entered into an accepted offer agreement that was an intentional misrepresentation of the reality the agents knew the situation to be. The agents did not disclose that they were currently still in contract with another party when they provided me in writing, an accepted offer letter. The agents subsequently sent a "memo of sale" requiring me to obtain a lawyer while also incurring the costs of a home inspection. Additionally, they sent out contracts to myself and my lawyer requiring his review of the document. The agents continued to hide up until this point they still had an open contract with other buyers and represented the situation as if I was the only party they were entering into contract with. At my lawyer's insistence that their buyers lawyer return the reviewed contracts to be signed, did they finally disclose that they were in contract with other buyers and immediately rescinded my accepted offer. They also refused to answer the phone for my buyers agent trying to understand what happened or why they never disclosed this information prior. They offered no explanation for their deception. It is clearly stated in the real-estate agents code of ethics, that they are to hold themselves to a higher ethical standard than the average civilian. I feel their egregious breach of this code of ethics is clear by their intentionally misleading of myself and my buyers agent into entering into a situation for their own personal gain and monetary benefit. I lost my home inspection fee as well as a lawyer fee for reviewing the contracts. Any self-respecting person would not waste their time with these crooks.
