I received fuel from Bottini in February 2025 around 9am, in which they over delivered I asked for 150 gallons, they delivered 213, which obviously costs me more than I intended on paying. After delivery I discovered my tank was leaking around 1:30pm, the fire department had to come as I was pregnant and have other children in the home so I wouldnt know if the house was safe or not. I called Bottini and the response was as though it wasnt a concern, they came and cleaned the kitty litter FD put down and tightened the s**** on the top, because the person Bottini had check the oil level prior to moving in left it open, which caused the oil to over flow from the top. The oil from the previous owner which we also had to pay for literally 3 weeks prior to delivery, shouldnt have needed oil so fast if it was full because we didnt move in yet, thermostat was on 65/70 degrees throughout the house). Long story short, we only went with Bottini because thats what the previous owners used, but no we canceled them immediately and ever since they have been trying to charge $135.16 for a service charge after a tech came out about a noise we were hearing after the oil delivery, he didnt do anything came in said it sounds normal and left. Bottini gave a credit of $181 (13 gallon of oil +unauthorized payment they took from card) after my lengthy email in April. Low and behold in June, ******* ***** is demanding $135.16 payment, stating I owe them and that they never received payment and that she is forwarding to credit bureaus. She is also disgustingly rude and doesnt give people the opportunity to speak, she also never informed her manager to contact me like I asked. They keep saying I owe because I disputed the charge with my bank, when in reality they keep trying to charge my card with no authorization to take a payment, they tried in May & in June after giving the credit. They also said my account was terminated and info would be removed so how are they charging me?Business Response

After speaking with the credit card company they advised you gave a credit of $181 and did not respond to the initial dispute of $135 after you withdrew the funds from my account without authorization, which led to my favor in the dispute. Discover as well as I do not understand why would I owe $135 if you gave a credit of $181 which includes the original $135 + $46.

I was having an old boiler unit removed and a new unit put in place. The technician was apparently unaware of the directive to keep the second floor zone inoperative. The technician was told by the salesman not to open the zone. The zone was opening and flooded the second floor, the first floor living room ceiling including the couch and a rug and went as far down as the basement area wetting and staining the carpeting. After paying the 50 percent deposit I called to place a claim against their general liability for neglience. I was directed by my All-State insurance broker to request Bottinis policy number and who is their carrier. I was denied this information in order to place a claim with All-State. On top of flooding my house they filtied my basement by not putting down cardboard or plastic. My basement floor is covered in boot marks in fine soot in a segment of my basement. The stairs were wiped with a dirty rag. I am a licensed mold assessor and I know the right thing to do to avoid the growth of mold. The sooner the better. I took thermal imaging of the water damage for future reference. I am very disappointed with a company that has solely had my business for over 25 years.Customer Answer

The customer opened an account and was billed and credited a security on the same day and the account was closed. Due to a programming error the customer was sent a monthly statement for zero dollars. On 1/13/25 I requested the minimum fill up their company allowed bc my fuel was getting alarmingly low. The driver showed up and filled the wrong tank that goes to my neighbors system(that doesnt work anymore) and put 55 gallons in there and said it was full. I called the next day after seeing my fuel gauge on the CORRECT tank had not moved after my delivery. I was told my a representative to bang on the tank and gauge it would show what they delivered. I tried both and nothing happened. Fast forward a few days, its now 1/21 I wake up to no heat in my apartment, and called my landlord thinking it was a furnace issue. Her heating guy came got it started again and we believed everything was good. Another day goes by, its now 1/22 and I wake up AGAIN to no heat in my apartment. Call my landlord again bc I dont want my pipes to freeze and I have my kids home. Upon looking at our furnace again the tech determined we were out of fuel. My landlord as well as my wife called and argued with representatives until they finally agree to come out but only if we get a minimum delivery of 155 gallons again. Reluctantly we agree because at this point what other choice do we have? Check my bill, the driver only delivered 150 gallons. Apartment has heat again and I decide to speak with Bottini about a refund on the 55 gallons trapped in a tank I cannot use. After being told for a week that a manager would get back to me about this issue I get the oil manager herself on the phone. Me, very annoyed at the whole situation explained the whole situation like I am now. I only feel its right to be reimbursed for fuel their driver mistakenly delivered to the wrong tank, her response: nope, its mine and my landlords fault for not specifying it was an outside tank. My jaw hit the floor as I explained to her with the two deliveries combined I paid $817.71 for ***** gallons of fuel coming to a staggering $5.45 a gallon. Not to mention what my landlord mustve paid for two emergency callsBusiness Response

In reviewing this complaint and speaking to both the Delivery Manager and the driver the tank the driver filled was the tank marked Apt A which is the apartment *** ******** resides in. Unfortunately, the mistake was not Bottini Fuel's it was the error of whomever marked those tanks. Bottini Fuel updated the account with necessary information and can offer a $25.00 credit to the account in an effort to be fair.Customer Answer

Botinni fuel has delivered to me before, back in October when I first moved in without incident. Correct tank and everything. The tanks were labeled and I have no idea why the driver took it upon himself to deliver to the indoor tank as opposed to the outside tank sitting right outside my kitchen window. I am asking for a refund of the 55 gallons which only comes to $207.79. If the driver was unsure I wouldve preferred my delivery cancelled instead of delivering to the wrong tank. The staff was also extremely rude during the whole process saying they would call me back with an explanation and manager for days. Poor business practices all around.

On April 16 a technician came out to do a free annual tune up. He told my mother that was home that a part was broken but since English is not her first language and she didnt understand she told him he had to call her daughter. He proceeded to change the part without contacting me for approval. The company had to come back out on April 23rd because we had an oil leak caused by the same part. I should not have to pay for a part I did not approve to change and was working before the technician worked on it.Business Response

On April 26th the company pulled funds from my bank account equal to a total fill of oil at my premises. There was no transaction to be found on their website or app for my account. I called April 29th and was told a fill would be done that day and an invoice left at my residence so I would know how much money I would be refunded. A fill was done there was no invoice I called again and was told it would show on the app in 24 hours It is not 24 hours and also 4 days since they pulled funds from my account and there is no information available and my account is over drawn and a refund of my money is still several days out until received I do not believe this company has the right to put a hold on my personal bank account for over a week and deny my proof of deliver and what amount was delivered.Business Response

Customer is on auto delivery which is required for her landlord to maintain a service plan. As a tenant a credit card is required on file for pre-authorization of a full tank prior to delivery. A full tank is held and released an unused funds are released from hold. This process can take 3 to 5 days to complete depending on the customers bank. The card was held on 04/26/2024, delivery made on 04/29/2024 delivery slip was emailed to customer at 2:40 PM on 04/29/2024 and card was processed this morning.
Attached is a copy of the delivery slip.

This season I started my furnace and wasnt working. So I called a heat and cooling company and they came to fix the furnace and found parts inside my unit that did not meet the manufacturer standard, parts were bent causing my BTUs to go high to burn more fuel and it ended up burning through the fire box into my wall.Business Response

I have contacted on numerous occasions via phone calls to Bottini fuel, in ****************** , who have falsified my bill and further sent to collections unit, yet Bottini refused to deliver oil to my home from may 2023 until September 2023 in which on September 17, 2023 (after me calling regularly to Bottini and being hung up on repeatedly) returned the $900 payment issued in May 2023 by **** as emergency services- back to Dutchess ****** ****. Bottini chose to NOT deliver to my home regardless of the **** check they cashed - Bottini staff claimed because of a past due bill of $466 I owe- they would not deliver unless that previously billed amount was paid in full. I tried to make a payment plan and further explain I was approved for *** emergency **** as I had recently lost my job and did not have funds at the time to make a payment. Bottini still refused to deliver, and the staff was arragant and unable to help me and my children. Furthermore ****** allowed my two young sons both with disabilities to be in a home with no heat or hot water.Ive attached as well a copy of the debt collector that is implying I owe Bottini fuel an amount of $1,366.86 as of 9/14/2023, yet the bill dated 9/7/2023- I have says $466- I never received a delivery- I have ************************************************* cloud to prove I did not receive any oil deliveries.I am requesting at this time careful observation of both bills, and possibly careful observations to all invoices to all purchasing customers Bottini fuel is trying to scam.Business Response

2. Customer had an outstanding balance from a Service Plan billed on 03/8/2023 and a delivery make on 03/07/2023 for the total of $1366.86 including FCs. Several attempts to collect the balance were made and monthly statements were mailed. Bottini Fuel will credit off the unused service plan in the amount of $464.88. Generally an unpaid contract is canceled at the 3 month **** and removed when there is no response from the customer.
3. in reviewing all notes on account a delivery was not requested until 09/11/2023 at which time the account had already been processed and sent to collections. Based on previous usage the customer was not due until late ***** of 2023.

Have been a good customer for over 15 years; last two bills were paid late, due to financial difficulties. Bottini sends a letter stating that they have been amiss in charging me a propane tank rental fee. After 15 years, no fee - and now theres a fee? How can a company do this to a loyal customer?Business Response
Date: 10/09/2023
In response to the attached claim, all 60 gallons Bottini Fuel propane tanks are subject a yearly tank rental of $85.00. In reviewing the account when it was set up no tank rental was added when the account was started. In a review of all Bottini Fuel propane tanks the error was found and corrected and the customer was sent a notification.
Please let me know if there are any more questions or concerns.
