      It started when one of the workers asked me if he could trim a little off of the bushes so he and his helper could finish the siding on the house. I said ok BUT just a little. He started to just trim a little bit off and that was ok, but it wasn't helping him. Then my wife called me to come in and help her, I did for a couple of minutes. When I returned he had chopped off the entire back half of BOTH BUSHES completely DESTROYING THEM !!! The bushes now look like crap and the whole front of the house looks horrible. I tried to reason with the owner at this time and he just yelled at me. I sent him photos of the bushes with an explanation of why I did not pay him the remaining $500 that is still owing on the siding. It would cost me any where from 1,000 to 2,500 to fix the mess his worker has left. I tried reasoning with the owner about this in January but again he yelled and screamed at me stating that if anything goes wrong with the siding he will NOT COVER it through the warranty. and as usual he hung up on me for the third time. 3 calls 3 hang ups. I just can't work or talk to this man, I don't find it fair or right that a company can destroy your property and get away with it. Can you PLEASE HELP US. Oh by the way these bushes are like a tree you cut or chop off major branches THEY ARE GONE FOR GOOD,,,,,,,THEY WILL NEVER GROW BACK.

      April of 2023 had entire home and detached garage re sided. July of 2023 noticed siding starting to fall off the house and damaged. Made several attempts to call and have someone come out, they say a crew will come by but no one ever does. They can’t seem to find records of my $25000 project to find out which one of their crews completed the project.

      In late July Mr. ******** advised our company of some issues with the Siding coming off etc. - On August 3rd we confirmed our installation team will go out and resolve the issues on August 7th - This was completed to their satisfaction because on August 23rd (due to the complaint) we followed up to confirm the work was done, which we confirmed was completed. This complaint came as a surprise due to the date of complaint in relation to the service work. We are a full service company and will continue to resolve any and all issues that may arise.       On 5/18/2021 we contracted with C. Michael Exteriors, Inc. to build two staircases on our house. The front staircase would have approximately 5 or 6 steps. The rear staircase would be much smaller, only about 1 or 2 steps. The total cost of the project was $4,500, and we were required to pay 50% ($2,250) at signing, with the remainder due upon completion. The work was contracted to start 5 to 6 months after signing, with an estimated completion time of about a week. A workman has been out to our house to take measurements, but as of 10/14/2022 work on the project has still not started. Despite numerous calls to the company, I am unable to get any indication from them as to when my stairs will be built.

      Date of transaction: Amount of money paid: $13,840.00 deposit of $27, 680.00 total Service Promised: Siding whole house, replacement bathroom window, replace all rotted wood And remainder as described. Complaint: Work was to start in 10-14 weeks, work was never started. In spite of several calls to C. Michaels requesting actual start date, start date was never given. Proof that material was actually ordered was requested, no proof was ever given. Resolution: C. Michaels has offered to retain 30% of total cost of the project ($8,304.00) and refund me 40% ($5,536) of my deposit or $1000.00 off the total if I still want the work done. I would like my entire deposit refunded. I no longer trust C. Michaels to work on my house.

      I had my house sided by C Michaels Exteriors and the job was finished at the end of Dec.2019.In July2020 I had some siding come loose.Icalled the company and they sent a man who repaired it.On 6/28/22 the repaired siding came loose again.I called the company on 6/28/22 and explained the issue.They said they would be in contact to have it repaired.I wasn't contacted and on 7/12/22 the loose siding came right off the house.Icalled the company on7/12/22 and explained the probelm and was again told that someone will be in contact with me to repair the siding.On 7/25/22 I again called the company because no one had contacted me.The company rep. said they will contact the manager and they will be in contact.As of7/29/22 no one has contacted me.

      I hired c. Michael’s exteriors to take the siding off my house and replace it with vinyl. They also were to put up gutters replace wood that needed replacing and install 5 new windows. This was agreed upon in July of 2021. They told they wanted half down and could begin in December. Well here it is the end off May 2022 and they just came out and took measurements of the windows. Now I was constantly trying to find out what the hold up was but would hardly ever get back to me and when they did they kept saying the windows were not in yet. Come to find out they never ordered them just called me an old job. I called today told some lady how runs interference for Amy that I wanted my deposit back. She told me Amy would call back and true to form she never did. I just want my deposit back and to be done with them.

      Please be advised that we have returned Mr. *****'s check that had been deposited into an escrow account until the completion of the work. Unfortunately, during COVID this has affected the receipt of material; similar to the current situation of Baby Formula. We hope returning the check and cancelling the order will help alleviate the concerns.

      On 9/28/2021, we paid $6,862 via check — which represented 50% of the cost of 5 new windows. The estimated start date (for installation of the windows) was 10-12 weeks. We have not received a call from C. Michael since they came to confirm the measurements of the windows in October. I have called their office three times this week, the receptionist has answered each time. Usually everyone is “in a meeting.” Yesterday I spoke to a supervisor “Amy” who said she’d call me back with an update — but alas no callback. We would like to have our money refunded immediately.

      In response to the above complaint, the *******s purchased windows from us. In our agreement, we have an estimated start date; our agreement also states that it is compliant upon fires, strikes, or ability to obtain material.During the COVID pandemic delivery times from our manufacturer have been delayed.We have contacted the *******s and have installed windows that have been delivered. Upon arrival of the other windows, we will install them as per our agreement.We will notify you when the work has been completed.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. We are working with the business in good faith to resolve the problem and we’re pleased so far with the progress (but reserving judgement until this install is complete). The business installed three of the five windows that were delivered by the manufacturer. One of windoes arrived cracked — but we agreed to install it (and replace it later once the replacement window arrives). Two of the windows that arrived from the manufacturer were not shaped/measured correctly and therefore couldn’t be installed. We’re exploring an alternate path with the business to replacing the other two windows (glass packs at a lesser price as opposed to replacing the other windows).

      I hired c. Michael’s to install siding and windows. The contract I signed stated it would take 14 days. This work started in April and we are still having issues with two doors that they still have not fixed. I have called several times and several different people have been to my house. I just want these doors fixed. The back door does not latch and the front storms door is leaking a black oil all over my kick plate(which is a new problem). I was told by Amy in the office they would send the Allside rep to take a look at this issue and still nothing. I am totally disappointed with the customer service and would not recommend anyone to use this company unless you have a year to allow them to finish the job if it is even finished in a year. Just not sure where to go from here. It is very frustrating for sure. I just want this issue resolved.

      Window replacement started June 26th 2021. They didn’t measure ALL of windows, and we got only 5 of 8 initially. Very difficult to get communication with hired contractors about when the work could be finished. Didn’t come back until August 26th and left messes everywhere, just like back in June. Moulding job was an add on, but charged by a contractor through his own personal company, rather than through whom he was contracted through. Never told me, and was later fired before the rest of the work was finished in August. The *new*? contractors who came back to finish did a shoddy job, and my walls are ripped up around most of the windows (paint and drywall) because they apparently don’t know how to do their job professionally. Moulding doesn’t match, isn’t finished wood, or was put on slap dash and very messy/damaged. Didn’t even bother removing some of the old moulding and just added new around it, and didn’t seal properly or neatly. SUPER disappointed in workmanship. Unacceptable!

      We have completed the service for the ********. They purchased 8 windows from us. When the windows were delivered, 2 of them were mis-made by the manufacturer and had to be reordered. We do not allow any installers to do any extra or side work for our customers. Any work we do is written on all contracts. We have a credit card acknowledgement form that is signed by our customers or they will call our office and give their information over the phone. In responding to the ******** regarding the completion of the 2 remaining windows, we were informed that they had added additional work that we had no knowledge of. There was no written contract or credit authorization form. They called regarding this, and we asked them who the charges were from and received their notice that was not any company we associate with. We advised them to protest the charges, which they did. The issues they called you about was that side work. We scheduled and completed the work they requested at no charge and satisfied this complaint. Thank you, Gus C

      On May 27th, C Michael Exteriors agreed to install a walk in shower for $10,900. Upon completion there were numerous issues with the shower that prevented us from using it for over three weeks. I contacted the business multiple times to fix the problems that included a shower that did not drain and leaked into our basement, a back wall not secured properly and a ceiling that had the wrong pattern. In the process of fixing the problems many cosmetic issues occurred. The caulking is 1 inch in some places extending to 1/2 inch or less in others. The ceiling and back wall were put in wrong and in an attempt to fix them caused more cosmetic issues with caulking. The ceiling slopes on one end. I wrote a letter explaining we were not satisfied with the job and expected a reasonable solution. I was offered a check for $150. I told them the check amount was unacceptable and not a reasonable solution to the look of the shower. I am requesting a 10% discount off the shower price.

      To the Better Business Bureau:

      The correction to the shower will not be completed until around the September timeframe.  I accept their response but am not completely satisfied until the new shower is completed in the fall.  In the meantime I will be making payment on an unsatisfactory shower.

      There are some issues that need immediate attention in order to drain properly.
