      I leased a car thru HVCU, when my lease was up they were supposed to pick up my car. They told me to park it in my driveway and not touch it due to mileage restrictions. They set up an appointment to pick up the car. I took off off work to have the car picked up and after 3 hours and no responses from the driver, I left back to work. It took 1month for them to finally pick up the car. They sent me a disposition fee for having the car picked up. I asked if its possible to adjust the fee for taking 1month and lost wages since I took off time at work to meet the driver at their stated date and time. They tried giving $50 off if I would pay it in full. I replied to all their emails and tried for months to pay by credit card as this was my only method of payment. They stated you can not pay a loan with a loan and thats why they wouldnt accept a credit card payment. This was a disposition fee and not part of the car loan so they should have accepted legal payment with a credit card. They offered to have me pay with debit card, pay by check, come in to the branch or give them my bank account info. I dont have a debit card, checks, work from 7am-7pm and dont feel comfortable giving out my banking info. After 2-3 months they sent me to collections despite my always offering to pay with credit card. Once it was in collections I called back and all of a sudden they said sure well take a credit card payment now because now youre in collections. This report to collections dropped my credit score from >800 to 720. This is absurd given that Ive been trying to pay and they refused to take legal form of payment and then take it anyway after ruining my credit history.

      My mortgage was recently transferred from ******************************* Bank to Hudson Valley Credit Union (HVCU). My first mortgage payment of, $2,518.18 due on April 1st, was paid in full well before the 15th day of the month. I have confirmed with my personal bank, Broadview Credit Union, that $2,518.18 was paid to Hudson Valley Credit Union. I have confirmed, on the phone, with several **** representatives that my April 1st mortgage payment has been received. I most recently spoke to Diego, a **** representative, who confirmed receipt of my mortgage payment. However, **** has continued to send me threatening letters stating that my home will face foreclosure and that I am in default. Just today I received a letter dated, April 16, 2025, telling me that I am now overdue with my mortgage payment, and I now owe HVCU $5,036.36. The letters I am receiving are threatening, ****** and harassing. I have paid my mortgage, and I am respectfully requesting that **** please stop sending me letters stating that they do not have my mortgage when they in fact have my mortgage well before the stated deadline. The letters that I am being sent are harassing and are causing my family and I needless stress.

      I noticed that they put life insurance accident on my loans with Hudson Valkey Credit Union.This an options feature that can be canceled at any time. This product is offered in the loan agreement which tricks consumers. I have asked from August of 2024 to cancel the product. It was never cancelled. They sent me a form that said I can prefill it on line. The form is horrible and you are not able to complete the form I reached out to the branch and informed then. They recent again I was not able to put the info in the lines. Finally I did had my signature my account number and the loan numbers in my request to cancel coverage. This is ridiculous that the offer a product easy to opt in but difficulty to opt out. I asked to speak to a supervisor *** **** who did not help or assist in this matter. I want my full refund back and I a disguised st how I gave all the information thats needed and they tell me that I cant cancel because I did not put my full membership this is insane!!!!I will like to cancel and they see I have been trying abc they telling me yo print now sign the document and they cant accept a electronic signature to cancel but accepted electronic signature to opt in forcing me to jeep a product against my will. This is insane she. They have Loan me over ****** dollars and with an electronic signature. I want my refund back from a year after they told ** I can cancel anytime. I have to print a form for a live signature which I did. Please help I have never heard of a credit union forcing me to keep a product!!!! I am beyond pisssed wit nowadays every business of bank do electric in signature to opt in or opt out. Hudson Valkey needs to do better. This s product that no one will opt in if its so difficult to opt out. I want my money back from August 2024

      I requested this company to provide me with my 1099-C Form that I have to provide to the ***. I requested it on August 19th 2024. It is now November 26 2024 and they have not provided me with my form. According to the *** a creditor must provided the consumer with a 1099-C if the debt is over $600. The account # is ********** in the amount of $966. They are violating my consumer rights by not providing me with this and they are reporting my consumer report inaccurately.

      I was transitioned from ************** to Hudson Valley Credit Union at the end of September without my consent. Now they continue to make me jump through hoops to try and close my account.

      A letter was sent on July 18, 2024 requesting more information on the address listed on the complaint.

      Hudson Valley Credit Union (HVCU) is unable to investigate your dispute or request because you did not provide sufficient information. In order for us to conduct an investigation, you must provide us with:

      -Specific account information, such as the account number and/or loan number in question; and
      -Specific information about your dispute and an explanation of the basis for your dispute; and
      -Supporting documentation or other information to substantiate your dispute, such as a copy of the relevant portion of your consumer report that contains the alleged error, a police report, a fraud or identity theft affidavit, a court order, account statements, etc.

      Once you have provided HVCU with specific information concerning your dispute or request, we will be able conduct an investigation and act accordingly.

      I filed a claim for a fraudulent dispute through the bank on December 2, 2023 for scam website that claimed to be ****** selling discounted shoes. The claim was initially accepted, but the decision was reversed on March 29, 2024. I have filed counter claims, sent 2 dispute letters, and provided evidence of the fraudulent purchase through a document that showed the items were never shipped.I attempted to contact the seller, but there was no contact information available. There was never any confirmation email sent for the order, and when I went back to the website instead of it being ******* it was ***************. This was a person or company collecting card information and claiming to sell products that were never delivered. However, it's not the scammer that I'm filing against. I'm filing the claim against the cardholder services department for being unable to resolve this issue in a timely manner. It's been almost 2 months since the decision was reversed and despite all of the calls I've made, the calls that my local branch has made, and all of the evidence I've provided, they still haven't returned my money to me.

      I paid extra payments to my loan. I paid extra but still owed regular payments. I called for clarification and was told that because I paid ahead the loan payments were not applied currently I was told on a recorded line the person would escalate the situation to get it All worked out and payments applied current . But no one called and my loan is still showing as due.

      The Credit Union reviewed the complaint submitted by the member. On April 29, 2024, the member contacted the Credit Union to inquire about a payment history review. The next day, April 30, 2024, our representative completed the research and advanced the due date to June 17, 2024, after confirming that regular payments for March, April, and May had been satisfied, though the due date was still showing as May 17, 2024. A call was placed to the member using the number on file to inform her of the completed maintenance and to explain that loan payments cannot be made more than 30 days in advance. However, a male answered and indicated that it was the wrong number.

      Upon receiving the BBB complaint, the Servicing Manager attempted to contact the member but was unable to successfully connect.

      We entered into a mortgage agreement with Hudson valley credit union on may 6 th 2023. We chose for Hudson valley to start a escrow account to pay the taxes for us. At closing we had to pay the first years taxes up front. We started to get tax bills from **** , pa and we just thought they were our copies so we ignored them thinking Hudson valley was paying them as agreed. We received a tax bill with about $1000 in penalties from **** for unpaid taxes. When I called Hudson valley them said they would call the York tax accessor. I get a call from Hudson valley and the gentleman says they wouldnt be responsible for the first tax payment! Even thou Hudson valley was holding on to the first years taxes I had to pay up front at closing!

      Hudson Valley Credit Union refunded the member the total amount of the penalty fee's that had been assessed due to the late tax bill in the amount of $ 935.95.  The amount was refunded back into the member' mortgage escrow account on April 18, 2024. Hudson Valley Credit Union contacted the member and provided the member with this information.

      The credit union allowed an individual to open up an account using my identity without my knowledge or consent. When I inquired they would not provide any information. I provided a police report, a fraud affidavit and asked for the documents under the **** and they still would not cooperate. The police asked for the documents and they claimed they did not receive the affidavit and would not cooperate with the police. I have since contacted them many times requesting information and have not received any information. I have also found out they allowed an ID that was not associated with me to be utilized to open the account.
