I purchased a 2016 Nissan Rogue from Nissan City in ************ **. At ****** miles the transmission started to slip. I paid $2,500 for an extended warranty to cover any issues that *** have come up. When I brought the vehicle in for a diagnostic check, the technician told me he could re-create the problem and could not help me. Then he told me to turn the car off and back on. Every time I was at a stop light I had to turn the car on and off. The car's transmission finally failed and now Nissan is telling me it's past warranty coverage. I called the corporate office in ********* and the consumer reports department stated they would not help offset the cost of the transmission cost. Nissan City of ******************* knew they sold a vehicle with a faulty transmission and would not rectify the problem, even after I spent an extra $2,500 for an extended warranty. The service manager is trying to charge me ***** plus tax for a new transmission. He stated, very arrogantly, that's a deal he was giving me. The Nissan corporate office was just as arrogant in their response to their lack of support. They know they have a faulty product and they use predatory sales tactics to push desperate people to cough up extra money to fix a problem they know about. Nissan and Nissan City of *********** are some of the lowest people that have existed. They knowingly sell junk and are backed by their corporate offices in the selling of their junk. Nissan does nothing to assist with the correction of the problems they know exist. If you are ever foolish enough to buy a Nissan, cross your fingers that the vehicle will be functional and that you will never have to deal with corporate or the local dealership.
