To Whom It May ******** Ripped-Off I recently contacted County Chimney Westchester ************ License #*********** located at *********************************************************** for chimney cleaning on 8/31/2022. The lady inspector/ Owner (********) who came to access the situation did not do any detail inspection, but then she told me I have a broken chimney liner which need to be replaced. As she knew I dont have much knowledge about it, she concluded by giving me an estimate of $2,700 for material and labor. She also demanded an immediate part payment of $1,700, and later she made some excuses and sent over two unqualified handymen into my house on 9/9/22 who dont know what to do.The lady in question came over to my house and said she just asked the guy to check the chimney and is cracked, so now they have to rebuilding the whole chimney before putting in the liner and that will cost me additional $5,000. At this point I refused to signed the second contract and told her to give some time to think about it, as the cost and the situation described was not sounding to me. I managed to get another contractor to access the whole chimney, and the contractors thorough assessment came out that my chimney DOES NOT USED LINER. It was built to work like that, I only need to fix the chimney and clean it thats.After I became aware of what I have what I need to do, I called *** ******** of the above company to address the situation with her and she will not listen and made a lot of stories and also started threating me with a lot of things including reporting me to the police. All I need from her and the ripped-off company is my full refund of $1,700, this is because my chimney does not use liner and I dont want to customize my chimney with liner. This is clearly a false statement from her and the company, my chimney is fine and I dont need her anywhere around my house.
