    We moved outside of ************* over a year ago and changed our address with ***** Toyota of Manhattan has been calling ** and sending us promotional materials in the mail; the first time I received a call, I called back to alert them that we wouldn't be using their services anymore as we had moved out of the city and asked to be removed from the mailing and call lists. I was assured that we had been removed and would not receive further communication. I have now called five or six times to ask to be removed from the list after numerous service reminder calls (that go straight to voicemail) and promotional mailers being sent to ***************. This has continued for over a year, despite my calls; they refuse to take me off their list.Prior to them not respecting my wishes to be removed from call and mail lists, we moved to another mechanic because Toyota of Manhattan sold us a new battery and installed it, then claimed at our next oil change that the battery needed to be replaced again. We decided to not give them our business following that incident.

    On February 8th, ****, I engaged in a remote sale with an internet sales representative at Toyota Manhattan, and regrettably, the experience left much to be desired. Despite my interest in purchasing an all-black 2021 Highlander with specific features, including glazed caramel seats and low mileage, the vehicle presented unforeseen issues upon a pre-purchase inspection, such as the need for brake replacement, engine cleaning due to rodent infestation, and exterior scratches not disclosed in the advertisement.On February 12th, ****, I expressed concerns that my mobile mechanic had shared with me and attempted to negotiate a fair price adjustment. However, I encountered resistance from both the sales rep and the general manager, *****. Despite my intention to finalize the purchase, the dismissive attitude and lack of customer-centric approach demonstrated by the dealership's staff were disheartening. While providing feedback about my experience, *****, the *** literally suggested that I take my business elsewhere after I mentioned the sales rep's lacking customer service skills. Despite this, I chose to proceed with the next steps, driven by my wife's desire for the vehicle.Later that ****************** called me to inform me that the vehicle had been sold, despite my submission of paperwork on February 9th, **** for them to withdraw a $1000 deposit for the vehicle.This experience revealed to me just how corrupt Toyota of Manhattan really is. Therefore, I'm choosing not to disclose the sales rep's name because she is only as good as her leadership. Despite my attempts to hold them accountable following the pre-purchase inspection and provide feedback on their customer service, they showed no appreciation. Furthermore, they seemed resistant to negotiation and were seemingly put off by the fact that I intended to pay in cash for the purchase. Their actions left me deeply disillusioned with their professionalism and integrity.
