I received a call on 4/25 at 1:33PM from ************************* at Knowledge Academy. We talked about the *** course and he said they were be running an Affirm special for monthly payment plan, and I could talk to his colleague to see if I qualified. I was told there was no hidden fees and I was not registering for the course just by creating a profile with Affirm. I found out there is a finance charge of $90+, and I am expected to start paying end of May. I specifically asked further questions to make sure I would not be charged, but was then told I had 2 months to cancel. I told the colleague to cancel and I did not want my profile created, but she said it was too late. I was told to contact ******* and he could help me. The next day at 508am 4/26 I sent ******* an email asking to cancel the course registration without any response. I also called the number that was on his email with no connection, and then company's number only rang through. Finally called the number he called me from to get his colleague, who informed me he would let ******* know to reach out. I sent a file up email on 4/27 with no response, and again on 4/28 to inform I would be filling a complaint with BBB and a claim with AFFIRM. I have not paid any money but do not want to be in the hook to do so.

They have refused to cancel my registration for classes, which I never agreed to register for. The loan for the cost is through Affirm and Affirm has decided to side with Knowledge Academy and are requiring me to pay the loan.

We communicated with the customer regarding why the refund is not possible, you can see this in writing in the attachments. It is also key to note that we are willing to swap the course to an alternate option or even fulfil the original training request despite the original complaint being raised in 2023.

Details:Transaction date February 18, 2023 Service: Cyber Security course - scheduled March 13 - 17, 2023 Amount: $1,499 - financed through Affirm I had wanted to take the class for a job that I wanted to apply for. However, I found out the day that I signed the course that the job was no longer available. I immediately contacted the Knowlege academy company to cancel my spot and issue a refund. I never heard from them until after several attempts. The agent that I was dealing with said that once they gave a spot that they cannot change it. That I must take the spot regardless of my reason. I told him that I did not need the course and I do not need their service because they job is no longer available. I never accessed their course online nor attended the virtual class that was scheduled for March 13, 2023. I cancelled the same day I signed up for the course.Attached is copy of my correspondences with them:
