I received a call on February 23 while my 3 month old baby was sleeping in my lap. I spoke with a representative and attempted to get more information for the *** class they had advertised. The representative was very difficult to understand and did not explain the information correctly, sent me to another outside party for payment information (which I was unable to give because I didn't have my card information available at the time).Once I had read the schedule it was not as I expected and I requested to have the class canceled, rather they confirmed my class for dates that I never approved. This last week (Mar 18) I followed up with emails and calls to customer service (which were never answered) to again get out of the class due to the impossible schedule (it will never be possible). I have filed complaints and dispute with both companies (The Knowledge Academy and Affirm).I have a stellar credit score and have issue with paying for a service that was never rendered. Again, my schedule will not allow me to take this course at any time - the advertisement was "as little as 1 hour per day", but the course is four 8-hour days on zoom - which I only found out AFTER reviewing the schedule, but not being told that upfront (false advertising).Customer Answer

At this time, I have not been contacted by The Knowledge Academy Inc. regarding complaint ID ********.
In fact, they havenot contacted me at all, but their third party payment system Affirm is still charging me. I am refusing to pay because the services were never rendered. I did not take the class even after repeatedly requesting to be removed due to unability to meet the schedule.

Signed up for a training class to be certified and class was cancelled and was not rescheduled until 3 months later. Was not informed about the class cancellation until the day the class was to begin. Immediately requested a refund. Received an email stating that I would get a refund. 2 weeks later and I still have not received a refund. Tried calling and emailing and am blocked from all communication with the company. This place is a total fraud and scam.Business Response

Paid $665.00 to The Knowledge Academy for three online training courses commencing on January 15, ****. The special offer was made via a payment link effective for January 10. I accepted the time-sensitive offer (40% all courses with 2 complimentary courses) conditioned upon immediate payment. I completed payment via my entering personal credit card information in the company's payment form sent via an email link. It was communicated that I would have immediate course access. I have not received access to the courses.Actions I have taken: 1. 24 Hours - contacted rep ******* ***************************************** ph: ************) 2. 48 Hours - escalated to Corporate via Contact Us (ph: ************) and chat for access 3. 72 Hours - escalated to ************************* manager for access to the course. After repeated calls to Corporate and multiple internal transfers, the company has deliberately frustrated my attempt to a. complete course enrollment b. provide instructions to refund my payment so that I can complete their competitor's course. The pattern of deliberate misrepresentations about its course availability, delays in responding to inquiries and refusal to explain the refund process or timings indicate that they never had an intent to provide the service. If so, that is fraud.Customer Answer

On 9/20/2023, I purchased a virtual learning course through Knowledge Academy for my PMPO certification. My courses were confirmed for 11/4 and 11/5, and 11/11 and 11/12 for instructor-led learning. I was told I would receive links for the course learning and Zoom call in my TKA Portal for Knowledge Academy. However, this was not the case. I spent hours on 11/3 and 11/4 trying to actually reach someone from this organization to provide me the links and Access Key and opened up 3 tickets with them to get resolution. None replied in time on Saturday to provide me the missing details - and when their "Virtual Support" team reached out to assist, they simply reiterated that my links were in the portal, gave me a screen shot of confirmation of my registration to the courses and NOTHING else. I missed both days of training which are needed to attend and complete the next two days of training. They are not helpful with bringing this to a resolution, telling me to open another ticket (even though I already opened three tickets - and that they cannot help me with rescheduling. I told them I either want a new course run or a full refund - they have refused to help me with both until I open another ticket.Business Response

I have signed up with the Knowledge Academy to get certifications for Six Sigma Yellow and Green ***** However each time I try to log into the portal I get asked to reset my password. I have contacted the company and each time the "resolve" the issue the issue is still ongoing. When reaching out to my 2 point of contact they are not very helpful, rude and always on leave. The rest of the team is not very responsive to messages either. After the presenting issues I looked the company up on Yelp and they have the worst reviews I have ever seen about an establishment. And my biggest concern is that I will not get my money back. And a business like that and the way costumers are treated should not exist.Business Response

I purchased a bootcamp to start June 10th and never received access to the camp. I called and emailed several times leading up to the course and never got a response at all. None of their other dates work for me to take a boot camp as i am pursuing my doctorate and decided to get my PMP through another program. So I asked for my money back since they dropped the ball on getting me the info to start the course on time. Now Manahor ** are harassing me, emailing saying I never chose a date when I have threads between them and myself saying what date I wanted and asking for the access key. This company is a scam!Business Response

I inquired various companies online about ************** Certification on July 18th 2023 and I sent a request to the Knowledge academy where I was quoted $950 dollars. I specifically mentioned I am looking for a ************** certified certificate which was offered by similar competitors like Knowledge Hut and ****** of ****** the operator offered me a better amount but never disclosed that it was not the certificate I was looking for. Then I get an email to make $250 dollar payment by the end of the day, she was extremely pushy about it and was trying to get my money as early as possible. Three days later, I finished the course and realize I have been duped and they are now looking into the matter and not refunding me any money. At the same time, they will record your conversation without your consent so be careful with that.Business Response

The customer was given a full explanation for why the refund request was denied on August 4. We have no affiliation with any other Scrum training providers and this is made very clear on all company literature, as well as our website and the customer was never communicated anything other than this. The customer completed 67% of the training and therefore we cannot provide a refund as per terms and conditions. Furthermore, the customer raised a chargeback request with their bank which was denied. Due to all of these factors it is not possible to offer a refund in this scenario. We are happy to support the customer and re-instate the remaining training for free if they wish to continue their studies.Initial Complaint

A few issues Reading from the slides with few examples, did not seem to have real world experience Did not complete any activities that were listed in the book Did not provide any group interaction Said Zoom does not support this functionality, this is not true, I have personally hosted training sessions for over 40 people with up to 6 breakout rooms running concurrently First day ended after 6 hours and felt rushed Second day ended after 4 hours, then we took a quiz If we had actually spent the time that was allocated, we could have dug deeper into the material Continued to ask for feedback from students and then tell them they were wrong, definitely deflated anyone's intention of participatingCustomer Answer

During the first day of the course I reached out to their customer service representative and expressed my concern. **** told me to continue taking the course. Once the course was complete and I was still unsatisfied, they replied that I would not get a refund because I continued to take the course. The only reason I continued was because that was their instruction. I feel like they trapped me into taking the second day so they would have an excuse to keep my money.

I purchased the SAFe 6.0 course through Knowledge Academy on May 10th. It was a two-day class (May 18, 18th). At course completion, I was supposed to receive an email with login information for the Scale Agile website so that I could take the exam for my certification. I never received the email and reached out to Knowledge Academy to see what the hold-up was. It has now been 5 days and I have gotten nowhere. When I reach out to Scale Agile, they tell me that they never received confirmation that I took the course and so they can't set up a user profile for me. When I contact *********************************************, they transfer me from person to person and just keep giving me the run-around. I need help getting a resolution to this problem.Business Response
