I created an account because I was offered a free trial. I used it for one day then came back to log in and it says I dont have an account yet I have the email confirming my free trial and I put in my banking info so I know I will be charged. I was even able to create a seconds account with that same email. I want a guarantee that I wont be charged if they cannot access my account or they cant help me access my account.

I am filing a complaint against Skillshare for misleading and unfair business practices.I signed up for their free trial with the intention of learning new skills to help me with my job search. I canceled my subscription on the final day of the trial to avoid being charged. However, despite canceling on time, I was still charged $185.26 for a full year. What makes this worse is that I immediately lost access to the classes after canceling, so I was charged for a service I did not have access to and could not use. When I contacted Skillshare, they told me that refunds are only available if you cancel within 48 hours of being charged. I was never made aware of this policy, and it feels deliberately misleading. Skillshare refused to issue a refund and directed me to ******, but ****** also refused to reverse the charge. As a result, I am now out $186 despite never using the service beyond the trial.I strongly believe Skillshare profits from this practice, taking advantage of people who cancel on time but still get billed without access. As an unemployed person trying to upskill and improve my chances of getting a job, this is an unfair and predatory policy.

I cancelled my account with ********************** two years ago, and the THIEVES, the CRIMINALS, the SCAMMERS at Skillshare keep charging my credit card every year without my human consent. Scammers Skillshare probably had a line of code that allowed them to charge me every year at perpetuity in a way i can NOT cancel ever. I want to sever ALL association with those SCAMMERS at Skillshare,Skillshare makes its money by making it impossible to cancel our accounts with them. I want the Better Business Bureau to report Skillshare as a scammer enterprise and inform all Americans that Skillshare makes its money by forbidding people from cancelling their accounts.

Complaint:I subscribed to Skillshare for one year. Although I barely used the service, I did complete a single course, so I do not dispute the fee I paid for last years membership. However, on August 19, 2025 (Tuesday), I was charged for another full year of membership without my clear consent. The only renewal reminder Skillshare sent was a single email, which I never saw (it may have gone to my spam folder). I believe one easily missed email is not sufficient notice for a large annual ********* soon as I noticed the charge, I immediately canceled my membership. I have made it clear to Skillshare that I will not be using their platform in the future. Despite this, they refused to issue a refund and only offered me a gift card, which is not a fair or reasonable solution.I consider this an unfair business practice and essentially a subscription trap. Many other customers online have reported the exact same issue.Resolution Requested:I am requesting a full refund of the renewal charge on August 19, 2025 ($119.19 USD). I am not asking for last years fee back since I acknowledge I used the service once, but I should not be charged for another full year of service that I will not use.

I was recently charged for an annual renewal of my Skillshare membership via a Wacom tablet promotion. The strange part is, I didnt receive any renewal reminder before the charge, and as far as I know, I wasnt supposed to be billed for this yet.I signed up for a 3-month free trial on May 16, 2025 linked to my Wacom tablet, and the charge appeared without any prior notification. Your refund policy states that only members charged after a 7-day free trial may request a refund within 30 days, and that no refunds are available for renewals or trials longer than 14 days.Account email: ************************** Date of charge: August 17, 2025 Amount charged: $167.88 Last 4 digits of card: 4711

Skillshare charged me 147 in one shot for a trial I tried cancelling. Not only that but their advertising is misleading. They show a monthly price after the trial, and make zero mention of the year coming out at once,

I have cancelled my Skillshare account every year since 2022 after they charge me and do not give me a refund. They say the account is cancelled, but hold on to my payment information and charge me the following year. This happened again on 8/6/2025.

Skillshare charged $160 on August 12, 2025, for an auto-renewal without any prior communication, just an Email reminder, which was in the junk box, happens to those who don't open Skillshare emails often, obviously Skillshare is fishing for. clear from their refund policies. Unwanted charge is an unwanted charge.I made contact with Skillshare immediately after the charge to request a refund and explanation, but no answer no resolution or remedy has been offered.

While the businesses return policy is very clear, I was not aware that I was signed up for several years for a service, set up as auto-renew for three previous years of use, which, if you look at my usage history, I only used the service during a very short time at the beginning which I thought was under a trial. Yes, their documentation is clear however, all of their renewal emails went to my spam folder, and so I never even knew the charges were happening. I only noticed the charge of a new annual membership yesterday of $165 when when I caught it in my pending transactions of my bank account. This happened at around noon on August 5. At around 4 oclock on August 5, I contacted the company via email to request a credit, which they declined stating that their return policy does not offer returns on an annual subscriptions after the renewal date. I expressed to them my unique situation that I didnt even realize I was being charged. While I understand policy and procedure, for the business to simply take my money for a future year of service, but then deny my request to refund within only a few hours of sign up displays shady business practices. Again, I understand the return policy was clear, but my circumstance was unique and I expected **************** to think of the human first. That was not the case. Again, I hadnt used the service in years, which is evident from my user usage in my account yet they decided to take my money and say they understand, but unfortunately thats their policy, which basically says too bad you blew it. There is nothing thoughtful about this company. I absolutely will never recommend this business for their disingenuous practices. The only solution that wouldve been acceptable would be to refund me the aforementioned renewal fee.

I canceled and requested a refund for on the first day (8/2) I was charged after I trial. I thought it would be a monthly charge but I was charged $177 for a annual subscription. When I got a response on Monday I was told they couldn't do anything for a mobile subscription. The subscription didnt show up in ****** play so I submitted another request with my card information on (8/4). They respond saying I was now outside the 48hr window for a refund. They seem to purposely make their policy confusing as when I searched online it says they give you a 30 day window not 48hrs (which is a extremely short time frame when trying to correspond over a weekend.)
