    Ive been getting charged from this business. I dont know what this is or how they got my bank info but they charge me random prices at random times

    I have been billed for ***** three times by this company. I never signed up for any ongoing charges and or services from this company. Obviously, I'm not the only one. I have filed a claim with ***** to stop these transactions and get a refund from Been verified.

    The account was created on 01/31/23 with our $1.00 7-day trial. Upon further review, it appears we did not receive a request to cancel prior to the end of the trial. In that event, your account was automatically renewed to the monthly subscription of $26.89.

    When signing up for our background reports, the subscription does outline that it will auto-renew until elected to cancel. You can contact us to cancel at any time, and will not be billed for your next billing cycle.

    Please be assured that your account was canceled and you were issued a refund of $80.67. The refund was processed immediately on our end, however, please note that it may take up to 10 days for the refund to reflect on your bank statement depending on your financial institution.

    Won't remove my data. Followed their instructions to a T and it's still there. And, the process takes over 20 minutes to begin with. Ridiculously difficult and time consuming.

    In December 2022, Been Verified started charging a monthly service fee to my Apple credit card. I do not know who BeenVerified is or what transaction I may have made that would have instituted a monthly charge. That charge recurred until this month, March 2023, at which point I did a web search and found a phone number to cancel the subscription. The cancellation process was simple, (I think, well see if it sticks) but its unclear when I wouldve signed up for such a service. In searching online, it appears that this is a common complaint, enough so that the Better Business Bureau has already taken action on this. Im filing my complaint simply to let the Better Business Bureau know that this is still an active and ongoing concern.

    Upon further review of your most recent contact to our ************* team, we were able to locate an account that matches the information you provided also matches your full name.

    The account was created on 12/31/22 with our $16.13 / month plan.

    Search report was also run on the account confirming the use of the service. It appears we did not receive a request to cancel prior to the end of the initial billing period thus your account was automatically renewed.

    All of our subscriptions are recurring. We let you know on the sign-up page that each subscription package will automatically renew until you elect to cancel.
     
    Nevertheless, the account that corresponds with the information provided does not currently have an active subscription and was canceled on 03/31/23.

    Starting in MAY 2022, Beenverified has been charging my PayPal account $24.23 a month (starting on May 2022, last was on 5 March 2023) for some sort of membership or subscription that I have never signed up for. Strange is the payment is made from a ****** Pay account thru my PayPal account witch is link to my Bank. BTW I do NOT use ****** Pay. Recently due to this economic instability I have started to look closer into my PayPal account and surprise I have noticed the recurring charges from BeenVerified. Its now been 11 months of charges totaling $266.53 (as 28 March 2023). I have never been on their website until today to look up their address to confirm I am filing this complaint against the right company. I have contacted them numerous times about the fraudulent charge and been hung up on. . I don't know how they received my PayPal information, but I have also filed a complaint with PayPal and my BANK opened a case with them in an attempt to receive my refund while also making sure to block this business from accessing my account in the future. I see a lot of people have the same problem with this SCAM, is very wide spread and look like some data breach. If is needed I can provide my Bank statements w/ the charges from them. Attch the last paypal charge to my bank thru a scam ****** pay account. Please help.

I was unable to locate a contact based on the number shared with this complaint and we would like to look into why the call was disconnected. 

    After further review, I was able to locate an account that matches your full name and billing zip code.  BeenVerified is a website that provides a searchable database of aggregated public records. You can search for a name on the site to locate addresses, phone numbers, relatives, court records, and much more. You can also run searches on addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. All searches are run by you in your account, once you sign up for an account. Does this sound familiar?

    The account was created on May 5, 2022, with our upfront monthly subscription for $22.86.  Upon further review, it appears we did not receive a request to cancel.  In that event, the account was automatically renewed to the monthly subscription of $22.86. When signing up for our services the terms and conditions in addition to the privacy policy are required to be agreed to prior to signing up.  Each customer must agree to these terms before successfully creating the account. This way our customers are fully aware of the charges including instructions on how to cancel. (Please review the attachment example)

    I have been trying to cancel my account since September of 2020 and I continue to get charged $30 a month. I was advised to send an email to the support department and they have been ignored. I want to be reimbursed for every month I have been charged.

    This business has taken out $28.61 for over a year and a half on my Amex card. I have called Amex to stop the charges. I am being charged through my apple account which I do not have an account from been verified. I will despite these charges or get a lawyer involved. This is ridiculous. The picture included is from Sept 2022and they continue to take money out monthly. I just caught it and I want a FULL refund.

    I only wanted to spend $1 for the trial for a one time use but have been charged $26 today. I cant get back into my account now because somehow none of my emails are linked to it.     I have been charged unknowingly since February 2021 (2+ years) . I do not recall signing up for this service and will also dispute this with my banking institution as well. After looking over bank statements I noticed being charged 27.98$/month totaling $337 in fees. Ive tried to cancel my subscription and Im requesting a full refund. I have not/do not currently use this website nor its services. Please remove my account from your list.
