Purchase date 4/24th I sent an email on 4/26th indicating that I was not happy with your services since this was clearly a CHATGPT OR AI copy of the resume I uploaded. Ive been requesting a refund since 4/26th with no follow up. In addition, Ive been charged an additional $24.95 which according to your billing department is a subscription for your services WHICH I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR. YOU are scamming people out of their hard earned money. This is NOT buyers remorse - I would be willing to pay more money for TOP NOTCH services which this is NOT. There is a multitude of information online confirming you outsource your resume jobs to 3rd world countries and the resumes are SCAMS done by AI. REFUND MY MONEY IMMEDIATELY. I am writing to express my concern regarding the premium service I purchased, which was intended to provide 30 days of access. Unfortunately, I have not been able to access the service for over a week, and despite my attempts to resolve the issue, it remains ************** this point, I have not received the benefits of even the first week of service due to being unable to log in or access the features I paid for. On January 24, 2025, I purchased resume-writing services from TopResume, a brand operated by Talent Worldwide, Inc.I paid TopResume a total of $304 for professional resume services. This included $219 for a bundled package and an additional $85 for expedited delivery. The services in the $219 package were advertised to include:1. A professionally written resume 2. A customized cover letter 3.A one-on-one phone consultation with the assigned resume writer 4. A job search assistance service, which used the new resume to apply to 20 jobs on my behalf 5. The $85 add-on was specifically for a 48-hour rush delivery of the initial draft of my professional resume.Cover Letter: The cover letter I received was unusable. It was generic, lacked substance, and showed no evidence of being tailored to my background or career goals. It did not reflect the quality expected from a professional writing service. Resume: The resume was equally disappointing. It consisted of large, dense paragraphs of text, making it visually unappealing and difficult to read. It completely disregarded my instructions regarding formatting and spacing, and did not present my experience in a compelling or modern ************ Consultation: The included phone consultation was initially scheduled but missed by the assigned writer not by me. I attempted to reach out for a reschedule, and only after my direct follow-up did I receive any response. There was no proactive communication or apology for the missed appointment.Rush Delivery (48-hour turnaround): Despite paying an additional $85 for a 48-hour rush delivery, I did not receive the initial draft within that timeframe. In fact, it took approximately one to two weeks to receive any version of the resume, which defeats the purpose of paying for expedited service.Job *************** Did not happen due to the low quality of the cover letter and resume. I purchased a package deal from TopResume for them to apply me to 20 jobs. They used an incorrect resume to all 20 jobs despite me telling them explicit details. The error was significant as it excluded my work history! They offer satisfaction guaranteed and an interview increase. Neither of these have been satisfied. I signed up for a 7-day trial on Resume.io and paid $2 to create a single resume. I did not knowingly agree to a recurring subscription. I used the platform once to build my resume and did not use any other services or features afterward.Despite this, Resume.io charged me $24.95 after the trial period. I canceled my subscription shortly after and even deleted my account. I immediately contacted their support team to request a refund, explaining that I had not used any premium services beyond the one resume I paid for.On March 20, I received an email from Resume.io stating that a refund had been processed and would appear in my account within 710 business days. However, no refund was issued. When I followed up, they reversed their stance, claimed I was no longer eligible for a refund, and refused to honor their previous written commitment.This is a clear case of misleading and deceptive billing practices. Their response contradicts their original promise, and I believe this behavior is intentional. No, we are not working toward a resolution. On March 20, they promised a refund in writing, then backtracked without reason. Since then, I have contacted their customer support over 10 times, and each time I received the same copy-pasted message denying responsibility.
This company operates dishonestly.There are plenty of real user complaints across social media platforms accusing Resume.io (Talent Worldwide, Inc.) of fraudulent billing practices.Users are charged without proper consent, and when they ask for help,they are ignored, blocked, or gaslit. Resume.io routinely deletes negative comments and blocks users who try to speak out.
Additionally, on review platforms,Resume.io attempts to drown out genuine complaints with fake positive reviews. Despite this, many real reviews still expose the same scam I experienced false charges, broken refund promises, and terrible customer service.
I have screenshots to support everything Im saying and will gladly provide them to regulatory bodies. I purchased a resume building and career guidance program for my partner after he suddenly was terminated from his position as a mid level HR executive. This company came highly reviewed online, advertising primarily resume writing services. They posted a "time limit" to make changes to the first draft of a resume they wrote for him. We made MANY efforts to provide feedback on the 1st draft before the time limit expired, sending several emails to our assigned "Resume Writer." She NEVER responded. There was a teleconference scheduled through their website on the last day to make changes (March 24, 2025) that she never logged onto. There was no cancelation, just a blank screen. When we emailed customer support, shortly thereafter the "********************** Writer" sent a message through the Top Resume portal that the day prior, she had had "technical difficulties" and couldn't join. Mind you, until we complained no effort was made to notify my partner that his meeting was canceled or would need to be rescheduled. Additionally, they appear to have issue with English proficiency and the 1st draft of the resume provided was truly unusable. I (the card holder,) requested refund, which they declined. However, a refund is warranted, as they have demonstrated themselves to be unable to deliver the product that was purchased. This was a time sensitive issue, and I believe they purposely ran out the clock on the resume draft to avoid doing additional work on my partner's resume. Like many other complaints, I started off by purchasing a Professional Growth Resume Writing Package in hopes of improving my resume and chances of landing a new position. After reviewing my "updated" resume with a recruiter, we discovered that some of the responsibilities listed in my prior roles were misrepresented and nowhere near the industry the company was in.For example: This was listed as a responsibility on a billing coordinator role for a company that is in the Transportation/Trucking industry. I ordered a resume writing package from Top Resume on 2/9/2025. Top Resume claims to write professional resumes that are personalized for each customer. They promise experienced writers who understand your industry. This is far from what I recieved. On 2/12 I recieved my first draft from my assigned writer. I cannot even begin to explain how horribly written the resume was. The format was awful, it was clearly not written by a professional or someone who has knowledge of the healthcare industry, and it was completely unusable. I sent my writer my edits and issues that I had with the resume and his response to me addressed zero of my concerns and went on about the importance of proper grammar and that their formats are top of the line. I then called customer service to complain stating that the writer was not doing a proper job on the resume and not addressing any of my concerns. I was told that they would ask that writer to stop working on my resume and assign a new writer who is one of their top resume writers. On 2/17 I recieved my second first draft with the new writer. This writer had access to all of my information, including the original resume written for me with my edits and complaints. Imagine my surprise when the format is the exact format I had issues with and was not only even worse than the first resume, he had written complete fabrications in my job descriptions. 2-3 fabricated accomplishments for each job description. This is when I contacted custumer service to request a refund. After going back and forth a few times I was told that they submiited my refund request to the internal review team only to be told they do not offer refunds.Business Response

On Feb 7, I purchased the Career Confidence package. This came with a lot of perks including a "professionally" written resume and a rewrite of my Linkedin Profile. Firstly, I noticed the person who I was matched with "*****" was never the person writing to me "*****." Secondly, after the FIRST draft, I could tell there was an issue. The writer cut out all ** information about me and only added three lines to each job I held when it came to qualifications. He also didn't highlight my career which the core is **************** I had to write him to ask why and gave him ideas. I had to give HIM ideas. I get a second draft and it's worse than the first. He didn't change anything only added words I used to assist him. I immediately wrote to Top Resume (only four days had transpired) to ask that they cease all services, that this felt like a red flag and I had lost all confidence in their services. Instead of adhering to my request, it was a succession of emails gaslighting me, offering other services to make up for the poor writing and then finally a follow-through of everything I had formally asked them to stop doing. They never acknowledged my requests to cease the work. I had 20 messages back and forth with them asking them to stop. They only kept offering more services. I have not reviewed or used any of the services they continued to provide. I want my money back, not more services. I was denied a refund because they said the written resume had met THEIR standards. Without even using the resume to see if recruiters responded to it, they're claiming it has met their standards. That's not logical thinking. Lastly, I tried to get my purchase history and that was removed. Interesting. So, no receipts will be provided here. This company behaves unethically.Business Response

I have asked countless times for this company to cease your services, to not continue to create a resume and to stop the re-write a Linkedin profile. I did this all within the time allotted to me; actually in the first four days of service and immediately when I found your resume writing service to be sub par. I am again asking for a refund, nothing more. I have not utilized any of the other services I paid for including the resume or ******** profile. I've not downloaded any of the completed files. Again, Top Resume was asked to stop all services four days after purchase but even now continues to offer more services. This is not a resolution. I do not want to do any business with your company.
