On July 18, 2024, I purchased the "Ultimate" package from ************* for assistance in revising an old resume that was out of date and needed to be revised.I paid $297.00 for this service and an extra $50.00 for a phone call with a writer. I was assigned a writer (named *****) who I had a call with on July 24. This phone call was hosted over Zoom and lasted approximately ***** minutes. It was recorded, but I did not have any access to the recording.***** asked very general questions about my background and goals and said that I had to write out my answers and upload along with my old resume (over 10 years old). He asked two questions that I answered very thoroughly, but he did not ask any follow up questions and declared that he had all that he needed.At the time, I expressed my concern that he did not have information that he needed to update my resume, but he said that he was fine.What I received was a regurgitation of my old resume, changed with what appears to be AI-generated language, but it in no way updates with new information. The resume also includes considerable incorrect information.The cover letter and LinkedIn update were similarly poor and did not include any new information.I have asked for a refund of services, but they said that they have performed the work and will not refund.What I received was not a viable product, and it in no way meets the terms of what Top Resume advertises on its website.Business response

*********************** Two orders placed on January 11th 2024 for a resume and a cover letter the resume does not pass the applicant tracking system as promised and it is filled with grammatical errors it also contains someone else's phone number I have requested a refund multiple times this document is unusable and does not meet industry standard I am not even getting interviews this resume is hurting my chances of getting a jobCustomer response

Never received product or service as of March of 2023!!I have been trying to call this merchant with no luck- always forwarded to a voicemail which ends up dropping the line within 5 seconds. No luck via email either as I have tried to contact for my services (and refund at this point). On March 15th, 2023, I made a purchase with topresume.com for the $349 package, the website led me to believe someone would contact me per their email. I was never contacted, after numerous emails sent to their support, nothing.Ive contacted them July 14th, 2023 via their website requesting a refund and never received a response. Again on September 28th, 2023 and again on March of 2024. I have called the number listed numerous times in between as I really wanted a personal explanation as to not only why I have not received the product, but how poor their customer service is with the lack of communication as I was a paying customer. On 30 April, I ordered services from Top Resume, but when I looked up Top Resume by the address listed, the name of the company came up as Talent Worldwide, Inc. I ordered on 4 May, my service was due 14 May, it is now 22 May and my service is still incomplete. I have asked for a refund three times. No one is responding to my emails in relation to the refund, and no one has answered the phone.Business response

On February 16, 2024, I ordered the Executive Priority Resume Writing Package from Top Resume through AARP. The fee for the resume, Linked In verbiage, and a cover letter that were all supposed to be professionally completed by a resume expert. The fee was $249.00. The ******* ****, did a draft of a resume. It had color on it and also had incorrect information that was not on my current resume nor was on the questionnaire I completed. I noted the issues and the writer revised it. Then I had a telephone call with the writer and could barely understand ********** thought the resume was okay since I thought he/Top Resume knew what they were doing. I showed the resume to a friend who is a hiring manager. He actually laughed and said, I hope you didnt pay any money for this.I contacted Top Resume, explained the issues, and asked for a refund. They instead assigned **** a more senior resume writer to do the resume, Linked In, and cover letter. He did the first draft and it had the same incorrect language as the first resume that **** completed and still had color on it. There was a phone call with **** scheduled for March 20, 2024. **** never got on the call. The resumes are either templates or AI generated. I contacted Top Resume for a refund and they refused. I firmly believe they just drop the field of work into an AI resume generator to get something drafted. That and/or they use templates. Either way, the service that is paid for is not the service received. I am not asking for a refund for the phone call because I actually talked to the first ******* ****. I also paid $35.00 for a thank you letter. Im not asking for that back because the $249.00 is the most important thing to me. I can probably rework the thank you letter, but I absolutely cannot rework the resume or the Linked In verbiage. Im stuck with paying $249.00 for something that is completely useless.I can't find any physical address for Top Resume.Business response

-Order # ********** I paid $197.00 *-Order #********** I paid $75.00 for ************ guaranteed for 48 hours *** due date for delivery was 5/1/2024 - notification sent to me via the account messaging on 5/1/2024 at appx 9am ET "Uh OH slight delay we are experiencing some delays don't worry your order will be back on track soon" 5/1/2024 -I wrote in correspondence (edited for length) "If not resolved before end of business today - I request full refund of all services and terminate the request for resume writer." I repeatedly requested FULL refund of $272 and that I wanted nothing from their services - TopResume continuously fished me asking me to NOT take any refund, to take a different service instead despite my repeated statement saying NONnegotiable. They deleted the messages from the account but I took screen shots before they deleted them :) I only received * $75.00 refund I Emailed 5/1/2024 + +5/3/2024+ 5/4/2024 + 5/7/2024 + 5/8/2024 + 5/9/2024 + ( I have every correspondence documented) In addition they ignored my repeated requests to end service and on 5/7 and 5/8 sent me a draft resume - after days of me saying cancel all and refund immediately I want the $197.00 refunded nowBusiness response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:As shown in all my provided documents - I reached out to Top Resume BEFORE they ever even began writing the "provided resume" .. and BEFORE THEY did write it I told them cease all actions and refund all the money back to me.
Just because they chose to ignore my requests does not give them the legal right to continue and steal my money.
I purchased a service - as soon as I saw that what I purchased was not being provided - I immediately reached out requesting to stop and refund me .. TopResume waited 5 days AFTER my contact and cease / refund request to provide a resume - TopResume saying "well we provided it to you so you have to pay for it now." 100% no .. this is unethical practice and highly questionable for legalities.

On April 22, 2024 I placed an order for the "ultimate career confidence' resume option. April 22, 2024: I paid $349 US / $479.22 CAD for Order #: *********** On April 22, 2024 I placed an order for "48-Hour Resume ************ in order to have the resume in time for a competition that was closing on April 26. Received confirmation that this would be ready on April 24. April 22, 2024: I paid $75 US / $102.97 CAD for Order #: ********** On April 23, 2024 at 2:06 PM I received an email I had been paired with a writer for the resume On April 23, 2024 at 3:09 PM I received an email stating they've experienced a 'surge in demand' and can no longer meet the dates agreed to . On April 23, 2024 at 3:39 I emailed stating "?Please cancel and refund my order. I paid for expedited service and now this. Im no longer interested in this service."On April 24, at 8:03 AM: I emailed requesting confirmation of refund. On April 24, 2024 at 11:29 AM I received an email stating: "We understand your frustration and recognize the significance of receiving your order promptly. While we understand your concerns, we are keen on providing you with the necessary service, which is why we would like to extend a 15% discount on your order due to the delay. Please let us know if you would like to take advantage of this offer.We apologize for any inconvenience caused and reaffirm our commitment to providing you with the best service possible."On April 24, 2024 at 1:55 PM I emailed back stating "No. It was promised for today, I needed it today."Since then, I have emailed almost daily, and they've attempted to provide a 15% discount; they called yesterday and told me the refund would be processed. Then today, for the first time in 2 weeks - they stated they've "determined all sales are final" and would refund all but $100 USD. This company is falsely advertising professional resume writing services. They are using writers from out of the country and very under qualified. They failed to provide any product let alone with in the promised 48 hour window. Tried calling customer service numerous times to try to fix the problems and no one answers or calls back. The only time I got a response from them was when I filed a complaint with my credit card company. They are fighting that even though they still haven't completed the draft let alone what they promised.Business response

On 04/02/2024, I made two purchases with TopResume.com, a Talent Worldwide, Inc. company. The Website led me to believe a writer would contact me within 7 days, per their email. Hours later, I received another email stating I wouldnt get a product until 04/16/2024 but would be matched with a writer to collaborate. On 04/08/2024, I got an auto-reply email stating I would be matched with a writer. On 04/12/2024, I contacted them through their website contact page requesting that services be rendered. No reply. I did not receive a copy of that correspondence. 04/15/2024 I emailed support due to no contact or service being rendered and requested them to cancel the order. No reply. On 04/16/2024, I contacted support to request a refund and ask them to cancel my order. No reply. On 04/16/2024, they stated that I had been matched with a writer I replied that I no longer wanted the service due to lacking professionalism and service and requested a refund. No reply. 04/16/2024 I contacted them twice via email at ********************************** and replied to a customer support automated email. Still no reply. I believe this company to be scamming people. They offer a service that does not honor stated services and hide behind fine print on their website. Ive been attempting to reach them for a week to cancel a service they have not yet honored, and they will not reply. Timing is important in looking for a career/job; this company could worsen other peoples lives by taking their already low funds. They have NOT provided me with any services, rendered any product, or had no communication other than automated emails I want my money back and the services requested canceled. I replied to their customer service representative and informed them that charging me again and refunding it does not count towards resolution to this matter nor counts as a "refund."
You have now charged my account $728.00 dollars and refunded $364.00. This makes things worse in my minds eye. I believe at this point I will be filing a fraud claim on the second transaction since it was not authorize - unless you release that authorization debit.

I was not provided the level of service I paid for. The "writer" was several days behind the projected schedule, which was fine, but then when I responded with edits, once those edits were done the order was closed without my ever being given approval. I have reached out to the company twice now with no response. I was told I would be paired with a writer who would know the field I am in, but it is clear from the conversation this was not the case. The "final draft" I was provided had glaring errors in it. And because the order was "closed" there are still errors in the documents hosted on their site. They keep spamming me with other services; one of these services is now also hosting this resume with the error on it because, again, the order was closed. I was promised a very different product and experience than was delivered, as clearly many other people were. The only "human" contact I have had is with the writer, who I don't even think is actually a human. I've asked to speak with someone else and received no response.Business response
