I had a really unfortunate experience with this company. I ordered a iPad case for my business, a simple $70 item. I get a call a week later saying that they have no cases left in stock, so they'll refund me and, to retain a loyal customer, provide me a free card reader device in its place. Neat!Well, unfortunately, after a mandatory contract signing and providing my bank account details, I felt uncomfortable moving forward. My agent (*******************) assured me I would not be charged until I set up the device and start accepting card payments. Even though I objected and decided to not move forward, my agent did everything in his power to get me to sign the form. I ended up signing.I received the device and it remained unopened in its original packaging and I began to receive fees. After being charged $100+ in fees only a few weeks into owning the device (still unopened btw), I decided to call up Emerchant Authority to cancel/return my device. By the way, the contract never said anything about non-usage fees, only a pin-access fee of $10/mo.When I called to return the product, my agent simply refused to accept the return. "Just use it, I don't understand. Why don't you just keep it?". I'm happy with Square, thank you very much. It wasn't until I called the general service line a week later for someone else to offer me a return label.Even though I cancelled on April 19th, I am still getting charged now into May and it's ridiculous. I've received no value from this company, I'm out $100+ dollars, and it's hardly worth my time to fight this with my bank and with Emerchant. I would have loved a simple cancellation form and a quick credit to my bank account, but nope.Never doing business with Emerchant again.
