    Squarespace system charge me for 9 years of hosting 20 days before my expiring hosting for the first year. I noticed the discrepancy and contacted squarespace via their email system to let them know about the issue since theY only offer email support. I got a response stating "...........I understand that you canceled your services, and you are requesting a refund, am I correct? You have to cancel your domain before discussing the refund............." The domain was already cancel (transfer to another provided) However, they refuse to provide a refund.

    **************** is cordial, but not helpful at all. I have been trying to get my email address changed under "owner" so I can finally get a transfer code to transfer my domain to another platform. The responses only come via email and sometimes several days before I even get a response back. Responses are vague and not helpful as they're trying to make me open a new account instead of simply updating the existing email address to an address that I can access. I've been at this for three weeks without my issue being resolved. I've even been transferred to a team lead, *****, and he can't seem to help me or ask his superiors how to make this happen without creating a new account. They are not addressing my specific concern the most efficient way possible.

    Genuinely abysmal support and service from these guys. I had a question about the way some of their Terms of Service are worded and ended up playing and interminable game of their "support" responses just linking me TO the Terms of Service with some nonsense comments about not being able to give "legal advice" to customers.I'm not asking for legal advice, I'm asking YOU to define Terms of Service YOU wrote and YOU expect to be able to enforce. How on earth SquareSpace expect to be able to enforce terms they're apparently entirely unable to understand themselves is beyond me - but it IS a big red flag that they are definitely not to be trusted.

    ****** Domains ***** corporate takeover from my site. $11 monthly to $25 and now business plan of $45. There is no customer service. There is no business. It is all Kalkata sector five india owned and operated by the same conglomerates who are price gouging and price inflating everything. The same Chinese monopolists and the same software bourgeoisie incorporated in these states running and operating scams, bait and switch, and fake API key token generators.

    I needed a website and ended up going with Squarespace, and this is by far the worst business Ive ever dealt with. As soon as I got someone on the phone, I was rushed and pressured by a very aggressive Indian man named **** to buy a specific package that includes everything needed to run a ********** first question to him was whether I could get a refund if I wasnt satisfied. He immediately said, Yes, absolutelyno questions asked. So, I proceeded with the purchase.The very next day, I received a call saying I needed to purchase all sorts of additional things before they could even start building the website! When I asked for specifics on what I actually needed, they began talking down to me as if I were an idiot and then abruptly said theyd just call me ******** this point, I was already unhappy with the service, so I requested a refund to take my business elsewhere. I was then transferred to a higher-up who told me he didnt think I deserved a refund because they hadnt started the website yet. He claimed they could only cancel if I wasnt satisfied with the final product.I explained that I already didnt like the service and wanted to cancel, reminding him that **** had said I could do so at any time. When I mentioned that I would take legal action if they didnt refund my money, he laughed and said, Good luck. This happens every day, and our lawyers are way better than anything you can affordso well win anyway this is absolutely insane that apparently this is happening every day to small businesses and it needs to stop!

    Horrible customer service - I have been trying to gain access to my domain since they took over from ******************. They charged me for the domain and then somehow transferred it to another registrar - stay way from this company if you want your business to stay online.

    SQUARESPACE. DO NOT BUILD your site with Squarespace. They held onto to 10k then released it. My account was find and now they need to verify it again and are holding onto ANOTHER 10k. I have a thread of 26 emails to support and reached out to their customer “support” on X. This company is totally fraud. They can turn off releasing your funds to you and claim it’s for verification on ALREADY verified accounts. They are corrupt.

    Been a loyal, paying subscriber for my site since 2014. Was wanting to apply a custom template design to my existing website. Squarespace hasn't developed a simple way to do this. Instead, they have the custom template set up as a separate "trial" website. You'd then have to transfer your existing domain and pay for a brand new site. The catch is, since I've been a member since 2014, I'm currently on a legacy subscription. Doing this would lose my legacy subscription plan and force me to pay more for a brand new plan since they increased their pricing. I did not want any new features or changes to my existing plan. All I wanted was to apply a custom template to my existing site. Yet Squarespace requires all these additional steps and expects to charge you more for doing so. The chat associate that did not help whatsoever was named ******** *.

    Squarespace has no clue about creating websites for success with ******, which is what websites are all about. Their support staff {online only. no live support} must just type in issues and allow AI to respond. Unfortunately, their AI isn't loaded with correct info either. Been struggling with issues for several months, and they just don't get it. Even the basics of web search.

    Terrible experience. Cant talk to anyone, unhelpful, holding my business website AND email hostage. Do not use squarespace.
