    THEIR 2FA SECURITY SYSTEM FAILED!!! ALL of my stocks were sold from my account, even though I was NEVER sent a code! The money was then transferred out of my brokerage account WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION! I lost EVERYTHING! They are claiming no responsibility and will not compensate me for my losses. CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT AND DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Your funds are NOT secure!

We always recommend protecting your account with a strong, unique password that is not used on other apps or websites. In addition, we would never ask for a 2FA code and advise all members of giving away any 2FA codes.     I've been using the Public app for about a month now. The features are similar to E-Trade or Robinhood. I like the simplicity of the *** later for Public. Robinhood doesn't have an official ***, and my experience with E-Trade wasn't good. The support team is exceptionally good at Public, I worked with ******* from the Public Customer Support team, and he gave me daily updates on the progress of my issue and resolved my issue very quickly.

    After four years as a user, I can confidently say: ********************** is a liability. Avoid it at all costs!!!!Ive been a Public.com user since 2021. I never deposited more than $40. The only activity on my account was the occasional $0.02 dividend which they often clawed back with random fees. I never expected much. But I did expect basic security and a functioning support team.On August 6, 2025, I discovered $20,000 had been withdrawn from my personal ***** Fargo account and dumped into my Public.com account without my authorization. This wiped out my bank balance and left me thousands of dollars in the negative.I immediately contacted Public.com support. A *** named *** said they would escalate the issue to a colleague. That was the last I heard from anyone. No response. No follow-up. No urgency. No action. Its now been more than a day.Let me be clear: this wasnt a $20 overcharge or a technical bug. This was a massive, unauthorized financial transaction involving tens of thousands of dollars and Public.com has done absolutely nothing to explain, investigate, or fix it.Ive had to file a fraud ***ort with my bank and begin the process of recovering the funds on my own. I also requested my Public.com account be closed immediately. But the damage is done.This is not a company you can trust with your money, your bank account, or your peace of mind.

The safety and security of your information is our highest priority. We responded to your concern on August 7th, and put a freeze on your account due to the suspicious activity. We also stopped the payment and the funds should be returned to your bank. We recommend updating your password to a unique password you don't use on other apps or websites. If you believe funds have been stolen or are missing from your account, we also recommend filing a police report and filing a report regarding this incident with the ******************************* at ***********.     Public is better than a lot of the others out there. Every time I had a concer they helped and answered all my questions quickly. Never had any issues buying or selling or depositing or withdrawing.

    This business does not want to return my funds, have spoken to support. They are asking what is that I am going to do with my money. I responded what I do with my money is none of your business. On numerous occasions I have reached and sent out the documents they have requested, bank statements, copy of a government ID and all they do is ignore me.This is my conversation with **** ******* *************** I have been ignored, without any info in reference to my withdrawal second, I have already submitted fraud investigations against public. This is not normal, and you have been doing this to other consumers you accept their cash and then don't want them to withdraw their cash asking for bank statements and ID. When i opened this account all my information was already verified. Bank accounts and Identity. The information I have submitted is enough for you to release my funds.I have submitted all the documents they have requested up to this date my funds are withheld for no reason.Please put your funds somewhere else do not go to Public.com and invest your money here. They will not return your money, and you will regret it, as a consumer you shouldn't be given a hard time to withdraw your funds knowing that they are available in your account.

    Ive been using Public as my primary brokerage platform after transferring my account from Fidelity, and the experience has exceeded my expectations in every way.     This place is great. I left ********* because they has terrible service and franklt only cared about your money if they didn't have to actually deal with you as an individual. Public takes the time to help/answer questions and walk through whatever questions/issues you have. The platform is FREAKING AWESOME and I have used Etrade, ******* ******, Robinhood, and Webull. This is the best one.
