      I want to file a complaint against Brigit the loan app I was told the amount I paid towards my loan they put into a locked account would be refunded back to me once the loan was paid off in full Ive contacted them numerous times and they three weeks ago they said it was distributed back to my account on July 27 a total of 129. Now they have been ignoring my emails and I have no deposit for my money. I have emails to prove this is the situation. Theres no direct number to contact them. They should not be allowed to get away with this.

      Please be advised that Brigit takes consumer complaints seriously and all complaints are thoroughly investigated. Sometimes Brigit may ask consumers for additional information or evidence to support their claims. 


      In this instance, Brigit found we sent the deposit of $120, which was their ********************** amount, on 7/20/22. We are including a screenshot from their bank account showing the transactions, which include the $120 deposit. If the user believes there is a discrepancy, they may contact their bank for assistance.

      This has started in September of 2021 until now August 10th 2022. This company had an option called credit builder account. Where you pay 55 dollars a month plus 5 dollars membership in order to save for one year and you get your money back that you put in while you build credit. I was due ****** back and now they are trying to say that they only owe me ***** back. I don't know what to do bc I really need my money back. They are not helping me thru email and there is no business phone number and I'm scared I just got ripped off ****** . Please help me get my money back. People need to be warned about this company

      In this instance, Brigit found this user paid $5/month for Credit Builder, not $55 plus $5 as stated in her complaint. She paid $5/month for 11 months, meaning she paid Brigit $55 for her Credit Builder account. We sent her back the $55 on 8/8. Credit Builder accounts only return what the user paid into it. We are including a screenshot showing "Brigit Credbuild" payments from the user's bank account showing $5/mo payments. Her attached screenshot shows the combined total of Credit Builder payments. With Credit Builder, Brigit pays a portion of the payments (in this case, $45/month) and the user pays a portion (in this case, $5/month). The user only gets back what they paid into the account ($5/month x 11 months for this user), not the combined total of their payments plus ours.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      Please tell me how this is not reflective of this situation. This was one of the first emails I obtained when in sept of 2021 this started. Also the odd thing is when I ever tried to download the loan terms and agreement it always said it was unable to pull up. I just thought it may be a glitch in the system but I should have been more concerned. (Please see the attached file titled ***** creditbuilder)

      Regardless it was misleading. I have canceled the plus account. And It will not let me disconnect my bank. I am not authorizing any more payments to this company. If they bill me again for anything I will contact my bank and dispute this charge. (Please see the attached file titled ***** creditbuilder 2)
