    Agreed 7 accounts to be taken care off and my credit score was 680 and now 530. Never had a late payment and they say dont pay them anything. I sent paperwork for court to settle an account in 2022 and sent them paperwork Wednesday 25th of June and I had to call today the 30th of June. To find out they cant help me with a judgment against my bank.

    Joined Lakeview Law Group and signed up for their program due to going to be falling behind on payments with loans and credit cards in the near future. This was June 2023. I was seeking a consolidation loan to pay off balances and consolidate intro 1 lower monthly payment. I was current on all loans and credit cards and had a credit score in the high 700's. They explained to me that in order to receive the best rate I needed to stop payments to all of these companies. Lakeview would then talk to them and come up with a lower rate payment plan and stated they could even reduce the total balance. They stated my credit score would experience a minor drop but would recover within the first year of the drop. It has been almost 2 years and my credit score continues to drop and is below 500. These last 2 years Lakeview has collected $18,536.14 from me $6,973.89 of that collected from me has been their fees for the program. An additional $300 was charged each time they allegedly made a payment to a creditor and $175 in "Payee fees". This company has had no contact with 2 of my accounts and will call and ask if I have heard from them. I have also received numerous collection letters where Lakeview tells me to continue forwarding the letters to them. They claim they are working diligently on my case yet I am worse financially than I have ever been. My credit is completely ruined and am in the biggest hole I have ever been in. I have contacted 2 of the companies that they are supposed making payments to and they have told me they have received nothing. When I brought this information to Lakeview, they referred me to their website as proof of payments. Also sent me a cropped screen shot of an email from someone random that read "payments being received". I am requesting a refund from their program and recommend that no one else falls for this scam. They have financially ruined me. The disputed total below is the money I have paid them plus the savings balance in my portal.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    I am requesting a refund from the program in the amount of $9,341.61. This includes the $6973.89 in fees that they have taken in total with each monthly payment when they informed me of an initial $574.00 start up fee only then and only a $65.00 a month monthly maintenance fee. Plus the total of $2367.72 that is currently in the savings account held by them for a total of  $9341.61. This company has completely ruined me financially and ruined my credit. I have been paying them $861.91 monthly that they are supposed to be paying creditors to help me but they take $301.95 of that $861.91 immediately as their fee plus fees every time they make a payment to a creditor. I have spoken to the creditors and have all advised that I could pay them directly saving the $301.95 a month in supposed "fees" plus $10.00 every time they send a payment to a creditor per transaction. They claim to be making my situation better yet continue to take more money while digging me into a deeper hole. 2 creditors on my account have been in "idle" because Lakeview hasn't even contacted them which I am now receiving legal action notices where I could be potentially sued. Lakeviews response is to "continue forwarding correspondence from the creditors to them". Again this company claims to be helping their customers when in actuality they are slowly stretching and digging them into a deeper hole than they began with through their baiting tactics and unbelievably high fees. They talk you into the program by stating they will talk to your creditors on your behalf to negotiate a smaller balance which they advertise consolidation in what the average person thinks would be a "personal Loan", when in reality they are having you stop payments so your debt gets sold off to collections, then negotiate a payment plan with them while the customers credit is ruined, legal action sought by creditors and they collect their fee monthly based off the customers payment which in my case has been $301.95 monthly since 2023. Again I am requesting a refund from Lakeview in the amount of $9,341.61.

    I have an ongoing debt consolidation or reconstruction with Lakeview Law Group. I initially started my transactions in April of 2021 with a promise to pay $543 per month for four years. The documents I have received varied throughout my time working with them. For about one year the payment went up from $543 to $743 (7 months) to $978 (9 months) to $778 (1 month) to $543 but now extended until December of 2026. I would like for the overpayment paid back to me in full and for the end of the transactions to be as promised May of 2025. This has created a great hardship to me. Now I cant even talk to anyone at Lakeview because the portal that they provided is no longer in service. And for them to resolve the final debt as promised. Amount is either $4385 or $14159.

    Personal Info: 65 employed grandmother caring for disabled son, helping adult homeless daughter with 3 grandchildren. Further I financially help my 88 yo ************* Burden: paying for household costs additionally covering loans, car insurance etc...Lakeview Interactions: hired at the end of Dec 23. I was lied to by the **** he stated that ALL accounts would be taken care of within 4 years. The AGREED monthly amount is $491.33- which I've paid on time since the inception. I think that I've been had- scammed- lied to- had the bait and switch. I've provided all required documents in a timely fashion. 2 months ago I received a Court notice stating that I am in arrears for a *************** account. I sent the docs to them- and asked what was going on. I can never speak with a manager or a firm member to get answers. when I call, I speak with a *** who reads from a script and offers nothing to help. No information, no nothing. This week I was told that I need to pay another $300 month to satisfy this account. Nope! I have been lied to and told that a firm member would reach out to me for discussion- NOPE! Another lie. I was lied to about the impact on my credit score- it was around 700- now it's a low 500. I knew it would take a hit, but Lakeview's unprofessional inattention to my account, and doing what I was told and what was agreed to, has screwed me over big time! I am a senior citizen with a homeless daughter and 2 grandkids, and a disabled son and his daughter to care for. To date, I am unsure of the number of accounts closed or even worked on. I have a heart condition which limits me in many ways- but now I have to stress over Lakeview's amoral and unethical practices. Lakeview REFUSES to answer questions. I will reach out to *** Attorney General to seek relief from this predatory business, if a satisfactory resolution is not provided by Lakeview.

    I hired them in 2021 they said that they could negotiate with my creditors and they would send them power of attorney letters to each. My payments to them was $680 a month I paid this for 2 and a half years they never sent the letters to the companys the companies turned it to the credit bureau that the accounts were delinquent it's still on my file

    I paid Lakeview Law Group for over a year to settle my debt $13,323, including ****************. Recently I have been the victim of a lawsuit from Republic. Evidently Lakeview kept all my funds and didn't pay on my debt.

    I feel that I have been defrauded and lied to by this company. Was told by enrolling in the program I would start to see significant improvement in my credit score and the opposite has happened after a year of paying into the program. I want steps taken immediately to improve my credit as promised or I will plan legal action against them.

    I started services with Lakeview Group in October 2023 and was led to believe they would become power of attorney for me with my creditors. I was not in default on any payments at the time. They advised me to stop making payments and they would reach out to my creditors to negotiate an agreement to lower interest and or payments. I was told my initial fee would be an attorney retainer fee of about $300 and afterwards there would be minimal fees about $65 in fees monthly for the transactions. I was paying Lakeview approximately $644 per month. They said they made agreements with some of my creditors and others were never entered into any agreement as of 8 months later. I started to get concerned when they requested more money from me monthly increasing my payments to $744 per month. I went through my statements and calculated my payments and fees because according to them I had no money in escrow. So I skipped a couple of payments with them starting in June of 2024 until I could review the terms of the contract and I noticed over half of my payments to them were being used for fees which amounted to over $2443.55. And nowhere in the contract nor verbally did they state my fees with them would be half my payments each month. Only $2228.25 went to my creditors. In just 8 months I had paid Lakeview Law Group an unfair amount in fees. I felt robbed by the company and the only thing they offered was an explanation of the fees after the fact of me canceling my agreement with them. As a result, I am in a much worse position, credit wise and financially, than before I started with them.

    It has now been 6 months since we have been dealing with Lakeveiw Law Group. Before we signed up , we were told that within 3 months that everything would be taken care of, but now 6 months down the road, and only 1 credit card has been settled. Meanwhile, interest and late payment are racking up. We are still getting phone call 3-4 times a day. We send letters from other creditors to the law group, but no response back. We call, they read off of a generic script, which is of no help. I have asked to speak to a manager several times, but no response. It makes me sick to my stomach. How can they do this as a profession! Our credit score has tanked, and wished we would have not gone down this road! Please help!

    This business called me the other day and stated I had one more payment to one of my bills and then it would be paid in full. Then I only had one other bill for less than 1700:00. So sept amount pays the final bill to ***********. Then 2-3 months on the other bill then Im done. They call me Friday and state that the one to *********** is not paid. It was late so they wouldnt accept it. So now they state they have to negotiate that bill all over again. So in other wards. Still more payments and more money to them. Still not getting this payed off. They drag their feet and they want more money. Im so tired of them wanting more money from me. I just want to be done with them. Im on a very small fixed income and its so frustrating.

    They did not resolve my complaint. They took almost $500 hundred dollars a month. Not sure what they really did with it. They have two bills left to pay off. They only paid off 3 little ones in 3 years. They were both on payment plans and they missed the payments. Now one of them is garnishing my wages . They creditor refuses to settle for less then the whole amount because they have not made a payment since February. So they really screwed me. They are not even sorry abt it. I don’t know what  to do. This is just ridiculous. I’m appalled at how they handled this.
