On November 3, 2024, I purchased a Hunter's plaid 3in one winter coat at ****** in ****** for $419. After wearing it approximately five times, the main zipper from the outer shell broke. On January 5, 2025, I reported the defect to Hunter Boots. They responded "As we are relaunching the Hunter brand in ******, we handle warranty inquiries on a case-by-case basis. " and requested a photo and proof of purchase. I had misplaced the receipt but sent in the photo. The response indicated: [...] Thank you for providing the images and additional details about the issue with your Hunter plaid 3 in1 winter jacket. I'm sorry to hear about the inconvenience this has caused you.Since you don't have a proof of purchase, we will still do our best to assist you. I will forward your information, along with the images, to the relevant team for further review. They will evaluate your case and explore possible solutions for your situation.[...]" The next day (January 6, 2025) They responded: "We are sorry to hear about your jacket. As per our warranty policies, we offer a 12-month warranty on all our products however, proof of purchase is an essential criteria to be able to file a warranty claim and unfortunately the reported style doesn't qualify for warranty without the receipt. As we value you as a customer we would like to offer you a 15% discount on Regular-Priced items which can be used for your future purchases through **************************. [...]" On January 7, 2025, I found the receipt and sent them a copy. ******** asked me to approach the retailer "******" but I got turned down because the return policy had elapsed. I advised ******** and the responses are carbon copies. Although they acknowledged they offered 12-month warrantee on all products they have yet to respect their policy.Initial Complaint

I purchased Hunter boots for my husband. He recently wore them for the first time and they were manufactured defectively and the right boot leaks water. I have purchased Hunter boots for my entire family and children multiple times and this has never happened. I contacted ********* who I purchased from and they said because manufacturing defect to contact ******. I called Hunter today and was told that because I didnt purchase directly through them they will not return/replace/fix them. I explained but you cant have a warranty if you buy directly through you and the woman said too bad.Initial Complaint

I was gifted a gift card in December 2021. I made a purchase shortly after and forgot to use it, but figured I'd just save it for when I needed to purchase boots again which I tried doing this week. The number on the card wasn't going through so I called customer service and was first told that the gift card expires after a year which it does not say anywhere on the gift card or in the email that ****** sent with the *** of the gift card anything about an expiration date (I was able to get the original email that was sent from the person who gave it to me). And then when I said that the next thing I was told was that ****** was sold and not honoring gift cards from before their sale and suddenly it turned in to a 2-year timeframe for expiration. I thought when a company was purchased, that new company assumes the debt? But furthermore, I have purchased from Hunter before as did the person who sent me the card and never did we get any email notifications stating if you had gift card they would no longer be able to be used after the sale of the company. It's still the same company name that is on my gift card. And really, I was unaware if a company does not specify a gift card expires that it's legal for it to expire? I am attaching the email and *** of the gift card so you can clearly see there is no expiration. This is a lot of money to be unable to use, and truly horrible customer service, especially for a multi-million ****** ***** that is still prevalent. I've tried messaging on ******** and Instagram asking ****** for help and an exception with no response. Plus I sent an email about the issue and received back a note stating they won't honor the gift card but offering a 20% off (which I already had for visiting the website) and I responded asking this to be escalated and never got another response. So I've tried working directly with the company, but they will not respond now.Initial Complaint

Ongoing concern, I have with a pair of boots that were highly defective black basic boots they were purchased through a retailer a few years back .these boots are supposed to be very well-known comfortable and naturally made hypoallergenic rubber. If youre familiar with the brand, they shouldve never constituted the defectiveness the pain as well as the chemical rubbery smell that I have experienced for about four years now company has ignored me repeatedly I reached out to I believe the United kingdom office and they refused to put me into the hands of the, American United States office which is based in ********. No one from the ******************** Will respond to my emails or my concern I have proof of purchase for the boots which I am sending along. All I was requesting was a simple replacement of these exact boots. Very basic boots I paid I believe $99 and some change shoes hurt my feet terribly I offered to send them back at the time. I was refused any type of label . Boots have since been donated to ********. I have the Actual Proof of purchase in front of me I am requesting strictly a brand new pair a pair that does not smell like chemicals a pair that will not hurt my toes to the degree that the previous ones had. company had no care no acknowledgment no sympathy theres no professionalism no personalized respect.. a different representative wrote me back multiple times all unprofessional women From a call center. nothing is legitimate so again, please allow some type of resolution. Im strictly seeking a replacement. I also referenced my specific pair of boots were not made in ************** as they claim! The specific pair that I purchased I think were made in another country foreign country not anywhere near **************. I think they were made in *****/ or Quite possibly ********. company is refusing to admit that. They definitively make it seem that boots are from ** . I strictly want a proper replacement. I placed 2 separate orders for Hunter Boots. Unfortunately, both orders were stolen from my ******* they were delivered on the same day, at the same time by **** I have called Hunter customer service at least 5 times, with the case reopened 3 times with **** I was told ****** is unable to refund the order until *** speaks with me. Yet, *** has closed the investigation TWICE claiming they were "unable to contact the received." It should not be this difficult to get a refund when I have proof from a camera on my property AND a neighbor's house of someone stealing my packages. Given this experience and the fact that my niece really wants Hunter boots for Christmas, I went ahead and ordered from a different retailer. Also, it's infuriating that you can't post reviews on their website to warn future customers of their terrible practices! All in all, after nearly 15 days and several calls to customer service, now they're requesting a police report. I just want a refund!Customer Answer

This companys customer service is awful. They have sent me 2 orders incorrectly (a different size than I ordered). I have been waiting 3 weeks for my correct order. I have had to call multiple times to get refunded for shipping fees for these returns. I have had to expedite this order. The company has offered nothing for me for the inconvenience. I made an order of $206.04 on the website of Hunter Boots under ORDER HB-****** on February 11, 2024. I received an email from Hunter Boots on February 19, 2024 that my order has been delivered. However, this was not true, as *** had sent the item back to the sender after attempting to deliver while I was not home. On ***, it indicates that the sender must claim the package. I have reached out to Hunter Boots customer service on Feburary *********************************************************************************************************************************** At this point, because it has past the timeframe that I needed the item, I do not want the order anymore and I would like a refund. Clothing item (boots) still within warranty started to fall apart. Reached out to the company to notify them. The first response was immediate, and they asked for photos of the issue. I purchased boots directly from Hunter Boots online and have a receipt. The boots cracked at less than 12 months and Hunter has a "warranty" for 24 months but they will not honor the warranty and stooped responding to my complaint after I send the requested information. S
