      We tried getting a credit card for my mother, she needed a card that was safe to use for online shopping after receiving the card, she needed help activating as she is not tech savvy. The staff members and supervisor was rude and I feel that is unacceptable. We will not be activating the card and will not use them for anything.

      Absolutely the most ridiculous,company I've ever had to deal with.. First of customer service is a absolute joke. So I asked to speak to a supervisor. At least I could understand her so that was a plus,however she was of zero help also.. My account was frozen,they said possible fraud . So then they asked me a security question. I answered it right of course. Then they asked for my number ,I gave it to them so they can send a txt mess so they can verify my account..Then they said it was not a valid number. I became very angry at that point because it is my number,been my num since the very beginning when I filled out the application and has NEVER changed. I've received several messages from them prior to this incident. So what is the **** problem??? So I asked to speak to her supervisor and she hung ** in my face.. Very unprofessional,and rude..I STILL DONT HAVE ANY ANSWERS AND MY CARD IS STILL FREAKING LOCKED. How can they decide huummm today I don't like her number so let me make this women's life harder then it alread is by telling her she can't help her and she has to wait 5 business days for a letter to verify .. NEVER AGAIN WOULD I EVER deal with Citi Bank again ..

      I wish I could give zero stars. These are the absolute worst people to deal with! When you call them they ask a ridiculous number of verification questions. They try to tell you it is for your own security. When trying to close my accounts they tell me they can not verify me and they need to send me a letter. There is zero effort in trying to help their customers. In fact, it is the complete opposite, they go out of their way to make dealing with them as difficult as possible. There are a lot of banks and credit cards out there....do yourself a huge favor and deal with one of them! #*************

      I am in a living **** with Citibank right now. I have been a loyal customer for 20 years. I recently found out that someone had fraudulently used my debit card/account on hundreds of unauthorized transactions almost exclusively on **** trips, **** eats and **** Cornershop. They denied all of my disputes without conducting an investigation. Their customer service is a disaster. It's impossible to speak to someone in the actual fraud department. When I speak to customer service reps in ***** they read notes related to the file which indicate that they aren't investigating my claims because I use similar vendors such as ******** and **** and must have therefore also been spending hundreds of dollars a day on ****. Sadly, I'm hearing and reading similar horror stories from many people. Please help.

      I want to file a complaint against Citi's fraud verification department. They are bureaucratic and won't resolve their own problems of falsely unlocking my credit card usage.This is from my personal experience recently. I applied for Citi's premier credit card and got approved. However, Citi blocked my usage when I tried to add the card to Apple Pay for the first usage. It turns out to be a Citi fraud department made a false block on me. I then called Citi fraud department to request for a clearance. However, they told me my phone number on file could not receive text message for verification. I thought it was because my number is a ****** Voice number and provided them my personal phone number and other numbers. Again, Citi still said they can't verify those numbers. The only thing is to wait for their letter in the mail and get some security "code" to pass the security check. I trusted them and waited for a few days. The letter from Citi arrived to me but there is no security "code", just a call back number. I followed that instruction and called Citi again. They gave me one-time clearance on the phone but my online transaction with Citi card was blocked again by Citi after the clearance. This time I called them again and they repeated the same "old' message: my phone numbers can't be verified and I have to wait for another mail. What a waste of time! I never saw another bank like Citi has such a painful experience to get a clearance on falsely locked credit card usage. Stay away from Citi. It will only give you endless pain to call them for an issue made by them.

      The online service and mobile app are nearly unusable. They don't allow me to transfer funds to another bank using the website for "security" reason. If so, delete this useless function there! When I try to dispute, the page 95% of the time says currently unavailable. When I try to make multiple purchases online, they automatically set up block and I need to call them every time to unblock. The customer service is trash. It takes 15 minutes to wait before talking to someone and 50% of the time that guy is equally useless as the website. I am closing all my accounts and going to partner with more competent banks.

      I have been a Citibank customer for 19 years. They currently cancelled my credit card through them after 12 years. I've never been late on a payment and they state I have a " foreclosure" on my credit report. I have never owned a home and checked my credit report, there was no foreclosure reported.

      Horrible and incompetent. I ordered a credit card and it got sent to the wrong address. I call and correct the address they tell me 5-7 business days. I wait over two weeks, call back, they tell me the first account had been closed but they are working on approving another account. Im told once the account is approved it will be 5-7 business days to get the new card. I wait three weeks, call back, and they had apparently approved, opened, and closed the new account?! The service rep was one of the most incompetent people I have ever spoken to. Asking me for the card number 3 times when I already explained I had never received a card. First saying there was only the one account then saying two. When I asked why this happened they just said they were trying to reopen the account but couldnt do anything (I never asked them to. I wanted to know why it was opened then closed). To top it off I am still getting emailed statements about my supposed closed accounts and emails toactivate the cards?! Atrocious company.

      They held my paycheck which was deposited 3 months ago not knowing that they had closed my account. I have been promised to receive my check over a month ago, still waiting. I can not get to speak to any representative, putting me on hold for hours, physically went to the branch they too was put on hold for over 1 hour, still waiting on my check from the ***************** I want some satisfaction and my check returned. ********* *

      Stay as far away from this bank as possible. It is an outsourced mess. They will hold your money up for no reason and continually make you call to access your funds. I can not stress enough how far away from citibank you should stay. The worst bank Ive ever seen.
