1 starI spent $8,000 with 1-800-ACCOUNTANT and quickly realized it wasnt what I thought I was paying for. I've been with TaxHive before, and they are excellent. I assumed 1-800-ACCOUNTANT would be even more hands-on, detailed, and educationalsomeone to advise me and walk me through things. Unfortunately, that was not my ************* assigned tax advisor, **, was professional on the phone at first but, later came across as short, impatient, and distracted, as though she had too much going on to give me her full attention. I didnt get the detailed guidance or the educational support I expected.They send their best salesperson to close the deal, but once you sign, you find out about their 30-day refund restriction. If you dont request your money back within that window, youre out of luckregardless of whether theyve delivered the service. I paid for what I believed would be bookkeeping for 2024 and tax services for 2025. They didnt perform the bookkeeping task for 2024, and I ended up doing most of the work myself and filing through TaxHive (which had always been my planI just needed the bookkeeping handled).In my opinion, if they had the integrity to acknowledge that they didnt fulfill their end of the bargain and at least refund me half of what I paid, that would show some level of honesty and good faith. But my assumption is that they are more interested in keeping every dollar than doing right by their customers. To me, they came across as greedy hustlers who will not honor a refund once theyve been paid. Customers need to beware.I know the pressure business owners feel to get this right and not lose money IN TAXES. Please take your time before signing anything. In my experience, 1-800-ACCOUNTANT overpromises, underdelivers, and refuses refunds even when they havent provided the service you paid for. I will recommend ******* instead.

1 starSCAM!! They told me a set price, I paid it. Then they tried charging me an extra $900. They canceled my subscription, and then are refusing to refund the prior payment. Typically goods and services are exchanged for payments. They provided me absolutely no service.1-800Accountant

1 starI signed up with them in 2024 to utilize bookkeeping, business tax, and personal tax for the first year of my LLC with an ****** designation. Unfortunately, they've completely dropped the ball in terms of customer service, follow-through on their product expectations, and customer satisfaction.I was meant to have multiple meetings with a tax accountant and tax advisor prior to filing my first-ever business taxes, but both meetings, in fact, never occurred. They pushed for me to just sign my business tax filing, saying it had everything I needed to write off my first year start-up costs on the taxes, yet as I looked into my personal return, nothing was written down from my business investment start-up costs. There is only one woman who has been willing to message back and call me to talk me through what should be happening, yet she isn't the person I need to speak with and has struggled to get my accountant to set a call with me. This has been going on for over 6 months now with no clear resolution.1-800Accountant

1 star1800 accountant was a huge waste of money we initially paid $7,700 for tax, advisor, accounting, **** wanted a company we could grow with and do our accounting with over the years. We are new business owners so I asked for an extension March 26th but didnt realize March 15 was the deadline for ***s. No one told me this, in fact they said my extension was filed and I was good to go.1. We are now facing thousands of dollars in late penalties from the *** bc our extension was not filed and we did not know we needed to contact the *** for a late fee- this is what we hired 1800account account for to help us stay in compliance. Flat out told us we were good, their people are not knowledgeable and give incorrect information 2. Got another notification from the *** saying we owe the *** and we are going to get a levy on our business if we dont pay the fee. 1-800Accountant filed *** and told us it was a no generating income so the *** had no taxes to be paid on it- again incorrect information 3. Accounting never synced with the banks correctly so accounting was impossible, we we got a refund for that service- they encouraged me to do it manually which was confusing, Im not an accountant but after hours of playing with it I realized several transactions were missing and not even there 4. You have to upload and organize all your paperwork, which is confusing and time consuming- if Im paying $7,770 thats your job. I sent it to you, you take care of it, but not with this company. Youll spend hours uploading and organizing 5. Calls are 30 mins and rushed We still have to contact the *** on our 3rd *** to see what else is going on. Not only were we told wrong information, our taxes were not filed properly. This company should be ashamed to call themselves 1800 accounting bc they dont know what theyre doing. Their **** dont know, and tell you wrong information. Im telling you thousands of dollars to repair what this company has done. Stay away!1-800Accountant

1 starOver-promise and under-deliver at every turn. Bookkeeping was a nightmare. mis-categorization left and right, ******* would just guess at stuff, make erroneous journal entries and put nearly 50k of business transactions as owners draw. Accountant was just as bad. Supposed to have monthly meetings to review, but the books were never right so the reviews were worthless. My new accounting firm found that my '23 filing was terribly done and had to make a ton of adjustments to ensure the '24 filing was ok. If your reading this, you already know in your heart to run.1-800Accountant

1 starI am truly unsure how this company has a "A-" by the BBB. Communicating with this company has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I run a veteran owned photography business and 1-800Accountant was recommended to me from a host business I used to help me establish my LLC. Upon speaking with 1-800Accountant the first representative was very aggressively and pleaded with me to "see what they could do for me" If I did not like their services I would be eligible for a refund. After finally scheduling an on-boarding interview, a tax consultant reiterated the services provided and informed me if I did not want to work with them I could talk to billing services for a refund. Both the initial representative and tax consultation did not clearly or specifically state the company's refund policy. I cancelled my subscription then spoke with billing and they stated they could not offer me a refund, DESPITE NEVER rendering services for my small business and charging me nearly $1000. After several conversations and zero follow up from their billing department I was informed they could not refund me and instead they could offer me a credit for a future service or just "list" that services were rendered. I am thankful for my bank who was able to initiate a dispute and issue temporary credit until a solution as reached. This was such a stressful process and I strongly advise against using 1-800Accountant. I typically don't leave bad reviews but this business has a long way to go for improvements which I informed them of. You're better off using your local tax consultant.Review fromMJ P
