1800 accountant has taken $2000 from us and has failed to make any phone call meetings as well as lied multiple times to me about my taxes. Lie I mean say one thing to never follow through with it. I have asked for a refund multiple times they give me there word and yet never have refunded me or even have a manager call me. Completely a lie is what they do and around around they lie.

Hello and thank you for your request. After careful investigation, we have determined that there are no Refunds to be issued outside of 30 Days from Purchase. We had requested a follow up on necessary Tax information to be provided. Your willingness to not complete ordinary and necessary tasks as a taxpayer does not entitle you to a Refund. The solution allowable is to complete your services until the end of your subscription. Any further refund requests will be denied. In May of 2021 I contacted 1800Accountant for tax help. They offered a 500 dollar package consisting of tax consultation. Never received any help whatsoever after a credit card payment of 500 dollars. Now they will not return emails or phone calls. Chris Sample is the email contactBusiness response

I hired one 800 accountant and they promised me reduction cost and also to do my taxes and also to join my W-2 with mine 1099 form for my business they did none of the above and they also took $2000 + of my money they will not except my phone calls and they will not return my phone calls even if I leave messages and they will not return my money as I’ve been asking that they have been avoiding me and I do not know what else to do.Business response

I hired 1800 accountant through my Legal Zoom business set up. When it came time for taxes, they filed my non profit one form but failed to include the W2 for myself as an employee and failed to charge me the taxes. They incorrectly did my taxes and so I reached out via their message service with no response for a week. I called daily and they kept saying the accountant was out. I made an appointment to speak with the substitute acct. I hired child care to do the call. When my appt time came, I received no call. I finally called and asked to speak to a supervisor. My taxes still remain undone. I would like my taxes amended and completed correctly, and I would like communication. I will never use 1800 Accountant again.Business response

I used the company's service for a few years. This year, I am not filing my taxes with them. However, they still charged my credit card over $2,000. When I asked for a refund, they said they had to keep $300 as part of their "Terms of Service". I never agreed to an ongoing subscription of any kind, and hiding behind some vague small print warning is very misleading, if not fraudulent. I am simply asking for the refund of the remainder of my money, and for BBB to look into this particular business practice of them.Business response

Thank you for your most recent inquiry. Cancellations request must be done in writing or by phone call before the renewal charge occurs. Since we did not receive that , there is a processing fee for any refunds issued.Initial Complaint

Transaction dates: 3/11, 4/11 & 5/11 (2021) Money paid: $2663.07 Services to be Provided: *preparation of 2020 tax returns, provide tax advice *Schedule & Review tax returns with me *Submit tax returns on or before May 17, 2021 *Provide me with copy of tax returns for my records. DISPUTE: *Tax returns not submitted on May 17, 2021 *Tax returns not submitted as of May 23, 2021 per the attachments. *No Review of Tax returns has been scheduled by Tax Preparer...no review has been done to date. *I have not been given a copy of the tax returns *Tax preparer has not responded to any of the questions I've asked regarding the tax returns. *Tax preparer has made not attempt to contact me or send me copy of the returns. *He tells me to schedule a review on their portal but the earliest date available to review is June 1, 2021...taxes were due May 17th... *I requested that he (Tax preparer "Ernie V") call me and has refused to do so...Business response

I signed up with this company last fall of 2020. I have not been able to get assistance or communication with this company. The tax deadline passed without any assistance from this accounting business. They do not answer their phones or reply to emails.Business response
