I applied for a Refinance with Gauntlet Funding, located in *************. ** Sep 9 2021, I sent them the loan application, and they never sent me any disclosures and never sent me any letters from the bank regarding the refinance. On Sep 30 2021 I paid $650 for an appraisal, which was performed on Oct 7 2021. Gauntlet Funding continuously denied my request for a copy of the appraisal being emailed to me and told me that they would give it to me after the closing. I further requested a loan commitment on many occasions, and a Loan #, and a rate lock agreement. They continuously told me that the rate was locked in for over 60 days at %**** and I would not need to see the rate lock agreement. They told me that the only way I would see a commitment letter was when the file would be clear with the title company and would come out of underwriting. They requested a bunch of stuff from me, which I provided them very fast. They required that I would order *************** for my property in order to clear to close, which I paid close to $900 and gave them the certificate of Flood Ins the same day. The loan processor, by the advice of one of the partners on 1/18/2022 told me that the whole file was clear to close and that the underwriter had cleared the file and they were just waiting for the Committee to do the final review so that we could schedule the closing. I realized that they wasted my time for 4 months. They never submitted anything, they don't have a loan Number, they would never give me a copy of the appraisal, which I paid for... They wasted my money, valuable time, and I could have gotten a lower interest rate, since the Fed recently raised the interest rates. So they lied from the beginning, instead of telling me that all they ever did was Hard money loans. They advertised something to me something that they didn't try to provide, or they weren't honest in the fact that they could not deliver.
