    I've had homeowner's insurance for decades and never filed a claim. After a lightening strike caused almost $10,000.00 in damages, I filed a claim. It took them 6 months to pay, and they only paid $1500.00!! Totally awful customer services (several adjustors quit while on my claim; no one returned emails; had to fight for 1/10th of what should be paid). Awful company.

    This company is currently sold under AAA in NY area. It’s a lousy company. We had them in 2015, the adjuster came and said he would send a check out to cover the cost but he asked us to pay it in advance because the water damage was bad and it needed immediate attention. We went ahead per his instructions. Then he denied about ever promising the check despite my numerous calls. Kingston recorded my claim but never responded back to me. A big NO! Stay away from them.

    Had damage in the basement. Given an amount for the claim. Advised insurance company that it is not enough to cover damages and they told me I could always file a supplemental and had me agree to settlement. Attempted to file supplemental, and the adjuster was not favorable. I even offered the adjuster to provide me with a contractor or worker that could do the work based on his estimates...crickets. Got my own adjuster and he still did not even entertain conversation. Then requested a third party adjuster reviewer and that request was denies. Good thing Kingstone is not in medical health insurance because people would suffer.
