After a water damage incident, we hired ******* to rip out the damage but also for the repairs. Considering their motto is “like it never even happened,” we thought we could trust them. I want to specify I believe their tear out crew did a decent job. Initially, the construction manager submitted an estimate to our insurance without even coming to our house to look at what was torn out. He just submitted it based on a report from the tear out crew. This resulted in a dispute between ******* and our Insurance that put the restoration project behind by a couple weeks and the estimate was way off based on the small job that needed done. At this point there was a giant hole in our kitchen ceiling leading up to our unfinished 2nd floor. September was half over, I was due to have a baby in 6 weeks and we were concerned that we wouldn’t be able to turn our heat on with a giant hole in the ceiling. After talking to the operations manager, they figured out the estimate, our insurance paid us and ******* got to work. After 5 weeks a job that should have taken a week at most was still not done. The construction manager still had not come to our home and the guys doing the job were young and inexperienced. I had to stay home from work for them to be here working and some days they didn’t show up at all and when they did, they would work for a total of 4 hours. I then asked them not to come back because they were ruining our house. It was done all wrong. We had to hire another company to come in, finish the job and fix what they had done. They also punctured a big hole in our wall while they were here and broke 2 of our kitchen tiles. Because we had to bring in another crew to undo their work and fix the damage they caused, I am seeking payment in the amount of $650. This covers the cost of all extra material to fix the bad job ******* did, but also to account for the extra day and a half of labor we had to pay for for them to undo ********* awful work.
