      We contracted with Jernick to partially pack and move us from ************** ** to *************. parking wa done on 8/23- ****. The truck was loaded on 8 25 and delivered on 8/26 in DC. The total contract was in excess of $10.000 including $695 for breakage insurance. Our television ($400) was damaged beyond repair and a piece of art work valued at $6500 was damaged. Jernick packed all of our electronics and most but not all of the artwork. Jernick packed all the artwork that was not covered by glass. We packed the smaller pieces that had glass covering.We sent pictures, filed a claim, answered questions from their adjuster and had a field visit from an inspector.I have been following up periodically since early September, but have yet to hear a clear report on the status of our claim. I have been called rude and pushy for wanting an answer. When I emailed again this morning I was told that they had not be able to talk with their insurance company despite calls and that i would hear from them IF AND WHEN they got an answer. I received another email this afternoon saying that the insurance company had some questions about the damaged artwork. We do not know what they are or when we will learn about them. The on-site inspector, acknowledged damages and took pictures.I readily acknowledge that I did not keep the damaged boxes for the artwork and the *** We tossed the ** after taking pictures My view is that I did business with Jernick in good faith and accepted a recommendation for insurance. It should be their responsibility to get this resolved.I want this settled with reimbursement for the ** and the cost of repairing the artwork. I did not get an estimate for the artwork repair as I was under the clear impression that they would only except an estimate from their insurance company - (Hanover). The inspector is a qualified estimator. I am happy to get estimates if that is what is needed to resolve this. I will not go through the motions without concurrence
