            Hi. I lived in Freeport, NY up until 3-4 years ago. Retro Fitness had a promotional offer and I enrolled. No sign-up fee was part of the promotion. I paid the membership responsible even when I NEVER went, I acknowledged my responsibility. Before moving to Virginia, which was February 2019 I went personally by the establishment front-desk and asked how to terminate the subscription and what was the fee for it. I paid 40.00 dollars cash to do this. I asked for a receipt and the employee that processed my request explained they were out of ink and could not provide me with a printed receipt. A handwritten one was not an option either. I left concerned, but I rest assured when I never saw the Retro-Fitness charge never again on my bank statements. Now, years after I start receiving letters from a Collection Agency regarding "unpaid charges Plus this agency charges. I think they went out of business but not entirely sure. I called sometime ago, not in service. Please help. Affecting Credit

            The best part of this gym is it's location. There are no amenities like the local gyms in the area and they charge you astronomical fees, including a yearly fee, when you don't have a yearly contracted plan. This is a very shady and deceptive practice. If you have the ability to, choose another gym that will actually make it worth your while. I wish I would have known that there is literally nothing in there and they charge more than the gyms that have saunas, pools, etc... Do yourself a favor and don't let the location **** you in like I did. Go somewhere else!
