    12/6/21 ordered a heating unit for Christmas and were advised this particular unit would be more than enough heat for our 9'x27' tent. Associate stated "the heat will be overkill". 12/24/21 without any advance notification heater was delivered. 12/25/21 we started heater at 10am to test it before our guests arrived at 2pm. The heat did kick on initially and after 10 minutes it started blowing out cold air. We called Party Line's emergency hot line and explained the situation. The tech advised to restart the unit and after doing so the same thing happened, first hot air and then cold air. They sent someone to check the unit and the first comment the technician made was "I haven't seen one of these old units in a long time, I didn't know we were still renting these out". Rather than attempt to fix it, he provided a replacement unit. While better than the first unit initially, it then completely cut off after about 1/2 hour. Technician returned 2nd time and felt the cutoff switch was not working properly and did something to the wiring to bypass the automatic cutoff. If it was cutting off because a certain temp was reached it would be OK but the tent was not even remotely warm when the unit shut off. And then it would not restart unless we manually reset the unit and the process would repeat. The technician said if the unit was working properly it would restart once the temperature dropped but this was not the case. Needless to say, our party was moved inside to a cramped house. 12/27 & 12/29 we left messages but no one responded to our calls. 12/27 unit was picked up & technician acknowledged they heard the message and someone would call back, no one ever called back. 12/29 we initiated dispute with our credit card company. 2/10 the charge hit our credit card again with no communication from either party. After several calls and finally a conversation with the controller of the company, she refused to acknowledge that units were defective. So here we are at the BBB.
