We contracted with H & R Chimney back in 2017. We were told that the liner in our chimney was in need of repair. ***** came out to our residence on 10-7-2017 and did the work which "installed 1 new 2 ply stainless steel (smooth wall) liner system top to bottom with a direct connection of tee to the oil heating unit at base of thimble. All hardware and connections included. Cost was $2,499.22 We had an other chimney sweeping company come out to the house today 12/8/2023 and they took pictures stating that there is no liner in the portion of the chimney that H&R did the work. We could not have our chimney cleaned. The new contractor believes either they never installed the liner or put the liner in the wrong location. Also the new contractor found evidence of poor workmanship. The new contractor estimated that the liner which is now needed would cost us around $4500. We tried to contact H&R and the phone number ************** brings us to a customer service that has no relation to the company. They have locations in **********, ***********, *************, ************ and ********. All numbers which is the same as listed above brings us to the answering service. We are looking for them to come out and install the liner correctly.
