    South Shore Plumbing and Heating came to install a new boiler that I had bought directly from ******** in Hicksville. It was installed on October 4 2022 for the agreed price of $2000 plus $175 for a part that they needed to complete the installation. All appeared to be well until the night of 3-4 February 2023 when it was discovered that steam was coming from the side of the boiler. I contacted SSP&H who sent a mechanic. He immediately told me the coil plate was loose which he proceeded to tighten. I asked if it should have been tightened during installation and was told probably. Tightening involved 4-5 turns, it wasnt a case of half or a quarter turn. The mechanic warned me the coil plate may need replacing if it continued to leak though he told me this had nothing to do with the installation, that this should have been tightened by the manufacturer despite it being important and the reason for the leak of steam.The boiler continued to leak at the coil plate as the seal has been damaged and I called SSP&H out again. The same mechanic tried to persuade me it was not their fault which annoyed me and after I raised my voice he left, upset, telling me his boss would call me the next day. He didnt. He hasnt since and neither has anyone at SSP&H.I called Petro out who were not wanting to repair the boiler and said I needed to contact the installers as, it was also confirmed to me, that the damage was caused by the coil plate not being tightened properly at installation. They also told me that there may further damage internally as a result of the boiler being run in this condition. For that reason also they couldnt take the job on.I wrote a letter to SSP&H putting out clearly my experience. A representative signed for it on Feb 24th but I have no response other than the return receipt via the ************ I further asked them to return the $275 they charged me as a service fee to tighten up six bolts that should already have been tightened.     Beware: two Spanish guys one with glasses the other with a messed up left eye! (FYI I am Spanish myself so its not their ethnicity)Installed a gas hot water heater. Had a nasty exhaust smell all throughout my house with two little kids in the house. Was never advised to open a window or anything prior to them starting the job. Master ******* said he didnt smell anything but everyone else did. Then to top it off after they left I went down stairs to clean up the rest of their mess I noticed they had stolen stuff from me that I had out. Called ****** in the office and she only addressed the odor not her workers stealing from my residence! What a professional company they steal from homes they service and keep their backs to the cameras when walking outside!I would not recommend using them unless you like not trusting people you let inside your home!

    **************, I am very sorry you are unhappy with our work however you are not the owner of the property and after speaking with the landlord she is very happy we were able to get you hot water right away.Since **************'s tenure, we have never had a case of stolen property and they have been in many homes unattended.Please call the office and I will address this with you personally.

    Renting or Owning has nothing to do with it. Stealing is stealing. Of course the landlord wouldnt be upset they did not get their stuff stolen! I did call ****** who said she would look into it and never got back to me. You guys are not going to turn around and say yes, we receive these calls all the time about stolen property from customers homes.
