I started receiving phone calls on 9/4/2025 from JW Servicing. I do not know who they are. Then I called and they referred to the wrong last name so I told them it was not me. Then they called my work number and started asking for the HR team in order to serve me with papers either at my work or home. They were very threatening and when I pressed for them to tell me who this was from I informed them I had already paid that debt with another company and they insist I send them a paid in full letter to a very obscure email address of ******************. This doesn't seem like a legitimate company. She was very hostile and rude especially when I asked them to stop calling my work. Stated I was only a secretary and asked to speak with my bosses which were not in at the time. They need to cease and desist in contacting me or any members of my family as I do not any monies to cash net. I did borrow from them back in 2017 which was 8 years ago and I paid the debt plus some to another collection agency. They would not give me any other information other than the cash net name. Just the threatening of legal action which in California they can not do.Business Response

JW Servicing is calling me multiple times a day, stating they have my file on hand, and I need to call back the number on the caller ID. When you leave a voicemail, there is NO caller ID to call back. They have never once in over a year left a callback number. They always say it is a "time-sensitive matter," but clearly, after calling me for over a year, I think that is "time sensitive". These scammers need to be stopped.
I have NEVER done business with any company by this name. I have sent them a cease and desist notice, but still they are calling. This is now HARASSMENT.
I never received anything in the mail validating anything regarding these voicemails or why they are even contacting me. They are now also calling my family and my place of employment.
This needs to cease & desist.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this did not resolve my complaint, as they are still calling me. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Calls are still coming in from this company. I am asking them immediately to cease and desist calling me, my workplace, and any relatives regarding any matter they believe I have with them. I have unpaid debts and have never heard of or dealt with this company. I have sent out cease and desist letters, and they have been ignored. I will not tolerate this harassment any longer. They responded to the complaint filed on 8/27/2025 and said they would cease and desist calls, but they have not done so. This is my last attempt before seeking legal action.

I took out a loan with ********** about 8 years ago. This year, 2025 I’ve starting receiving calls from multiple companies stating they are going to sue and garnish my wages. Most recently Stacy C***** with GW Servicing group has constantly called me and I explained to her that mulitple companies are trying to collect this same debt. She stated they are the only ones responsible , I called **** ***** directly and they have no clue who these people are. Stacy C***** has strong armed $200 from me, I ignorantly agreed to a payment plan because I didn’t want my checks to be garnished. She said I must pay, or they will send paperwork to my HR department for wage garnishments. I’ve asked her multiple times who was the judge to sign off on the wage garnishment , and who told her to do that. She is constantly said “**** *******” is the attorney who told her to do so. Which he is not a practicing attorney for the state of Mo. this has been a nightmare, with non stop phone calls to me and my job. They still have yet provided me with the original documentation stating I the originally amount owed. I contacted a private attorney and there is no judgment against me for this. I’m not paying Gwwservcing group and wish they will stop all communication. Stop calling my job. This also goes against the law, I’ve file a complaint with the attorney generals office as well. You cannot bully and intimidate someone to pay for a debt that isn’t verified and multiple people are collecting on. **** ***** told me directly they do not know this company .Business Response

I am writing to formally demand that you cease and desist all forms of communication with me, including but not limited to phone calls, voicemails, messages to my workplace, and contact with my family or friends regarding any alleged debt.
Despite numerous requests, you have failed to provide written verification of the alleged debt as required by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), 15 U.S. Code § 1692g. Furthermore, your repeated calls to my workplace, after being instructed to stop, are a direct violation of FDCPA Section 805(a)(3).
You are hereby notified that:
You must cease all communication with me, my employer, and any third parties related to this alleged debt.
You must not contact me at my place of employment, as it is prohibited and disruptive.
I have retained copies of call logs, voicemails, and messages for use in any legal action necessary.
If you believe a debt is legitimately owed, you are required by law to send proper written validation of the debt.
Failure to comply with this cease and desist request may result in legal action and a formal complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and your state attorney general’s office.
Let this letter serve as your final warning. You are prohibited from contacting me, my employer, or any third party associated with me going forward.Business Response

This company keeps calling and stating that I have a debt that I owe and that I need to call them before they basically send somebody to my home. They have harassed my family and friends. I have call logs from them and voicemails from them. I ran my credit report and I have no debt that is owed that would warrant a collection agency to be after me. I have asked them several times not to call, and if I did owe a debt, to send something in writing. To this state I have not received anything. I would like all of the harassing phone calls and messages to myself, my family, and my friends to cease and exist.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. My wife and I continue to receive calls on both of our phone numbers, including as recently as today from JW Servicing. On May 16, 2025, my wife called the JW Servicing and spoke with an individual named Kevin F******, who claimed to represent Midland Financial. He alleged that I owed a debt originating from a cash loan that has been in collections since 2019, stating the amount due is $1,977.00 for an original loan of $602.00. During the call, my wife requested that the details of this alleged debt be sent to us in writing. Rather than honoring this reasonable request, Mr. F****** responded aggressively—threatening legal action, accusing her of having "an agenda," and speaking over her repeatedly. Despite her request that he no longer contact her phone, he continued to raise his voice and behave in an unprofessional manner. Again, all we asked for was written verification of the debt, which he claimed we were not entitled to receive. Additionally, we have received multiple voicemail messages from individuals identifying themselves as Philip F******* and Renee S***** from “J.W. Servicing” (###-###-####), as well as one from someone named Valery Haminez (###-###-####), who stated that I would be served with court documents either at home or at my place of employment.
Please find attached a screenshot of these voicemails for reference. I have no recollection of this alleged debt and formally request that any and all details be provided to me in writing. Until such written documentation is received and verified, I ask that all further contact cease.
To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.
