      On November 14th , 2024 I have been a Metro Optics client over 40 years . My father served with the original owner ******* ****** and my family knew ****** **** On this day I was scammed out of 200 dollars I was met by doctor ***** *****, who met me at the front desk I said Im interested in the multi focal lensesI would like to try the samples.He came back with them. As Doctor Danda went to do this an Italian woman at the desk stopped him from giving me the samples. I was maneuvered into the doctors office. in one minute walked out of his office, woman said I had to pay 200 dollars. I ask to speak to a manager , Spanish woman with the tight blonde bun said when you walk into the doctors office for 1 minute or 15 theres a price. I said I didnt have an appt. and did not take any test or exams other than a month ago when the eye exam was taking, that he was giving me samples at the front desk until I was maneuvered into the office . I also informed her that I had *************** and ************* , she should send any bill to them, and that I have no out of pocket cost. I was not allowed to leave the store without paying the 200 dollars. Till this day I have no detailed receipt and ***** has received no bill to the insurance company. I am requesting for my 200 dollars to be returned and a thorough investigation into the practices at Metro Optics a company that I have patronized for over 40 years. ****** **** who treated me like family and ******* ****** who served with my father would never and have never operated this way. I am making a demand for a full refund and most importantly an investigation into the practice of samples, a price being charged for them and charging of samples that go from anywhere between 125 and 200 dollars and if all the stores have this practice of charging for samples and forcing clients to pay out of pocket regardless of insurance plan benefits.Sincerely yours, ****** ******* ******** **

      My lenses were made improperly . My lenses were smaller and not the correct prescription causing me to have headaches, nausea, dizziness and finally, a fall on the floor after use. I believe this was intentional and I would like a total refund for mistreatment and negligence.

      On APRIL 15th, 2023 I paid cash to purchase a pair if prescription glasses from Metro Optics. On April 24th, 2023 when my glasses were ready i went to pick up my glasses. I was not satisfied with them so i decided to choose a different frame. The frames that i chose were less in price then the ones i originally purchased by the sum of $155.00 which i was told by the Manager ***** would be refunded via check because they Metro Optics don't give cash refunds. Fast-forward m, it is now May 19th, 2023 and i have not received my refund check. I have gone back to this location twice regarding my refund to no avail. All I've been told is that emails were forwarded to their corporate office regarding the matter. However, ***** has responded to these emails and i have not received my refund. They claim that there is no telephone number that i can call to speak with someone regarding my refund all they (Metro Optics) have is an email. I notified the *** police but was told it was a civil matter therefore there was nothing they could do. Will provide receipts and emails

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. I was issued a refund.

      3/25/2023 Had an overdue appointment ti get my vision checked Just started a new health insurance that includes eye-wear Went in and met with the most NASTIEST unprofessional employees. I have a primary and a secondary insurance to help with the high cost.Employee was very rude and didnt explain. Just kept saying my **** insurance was it and that this would be done through them?!? Meanwhile I have very very bad vision needing very this eyeglasses. They just kept PUSHING some sale they had at 40 percent off on their merchandise. They said get the one frame from your insurance and get a second from us?!?Because I refused I was then rushed because she "had other clients waiting". I was rushed so much I chose frames I hate and I now am getting a non wanted bi-focal line on my eye-wear ALL get a 1 time chance every year to get glasses. They just KILLED MY ONE CHANCE because I wouldnt purchase from their store I am now stuck thanks to them. I am filing this complaint to get my proper care done and I never want to see them again. Disgusting an unfair to people in vision need.
