I made a reservation for a flight from *********** to ******. Upon calling to confirm my reservation, the company told me that the flight was sold out but a seat was available for $300 MORE! Now I am unable to make a reservation for the same flight. I am on limited income and had been saving for the entire year to date to take this trip.Customer Answer

I was booking for a family emergency to leave on August 24 and after searching for affordable flight tickets, I selected this website topflightfares.com. The website stated that there was a flight for ******************, leaving ******* August 24 at 6:45 AM with a stop in ****** and ending in ********* for a total $161.97. Nothing stated this was a stand by seat. I booked it and the site stated that an agent will contact me which they did not. I ended up calling them to confirm since the flight would be early morning on the 24th. I called the agent a female that tells me that the reservation is in pending status. I told her I need it confirmed. She stated that its pending because I was placed on a waitlist /stand by that theres no available seats for this flight. Yet she try to sell me the last seat lon this very flight for the total of $299. I booked through this site because I was looking for an affordable flight, nowhere on that page did it state that this was for a waitlist seat . For that price I might as well have booked directly with the airline. I requested to cancel , She stated that I was unable to cancel the flight id lose my money since I already booked the ticket. How if your stating its pending and Im waitlisted? I asked my options She said pay the difference for the seat, which was $138 more, lose my money, or change the date and time. I asked to speak to a manager and she refused said there was no one else to speak to except her. I asked how that was possible she had to have someone above her and she simply replied no. So I hung up and called back but she answered again, I told her I needed to resolution or Id file a complaint because this was not right what they were doing she stated that I could chose to do that. I was not able to get my money back, she just told me that I was on standby for yet the website took the money for the ticket How is this illegal business?Customer Answer

I tried to buy a ticket for a flight for my daughter from *********** to Ft ***** AR through their website. After filling in my cc information the website said pending. I called a number on the screen only to have an agent tell me that this was a standby ticket and tried to upsell me another ticket. It is not at alol apparent that the ticket is standby. They are now telling me that they cant cancel the transaction and if standby is available they will charge my card. This is deceptive and dishonest. I cant find any recourse at this point. I have attached a picture of the charges I am being chargedthreatened with if standby is available. I am also attaching a screenshot of their website stating I can cancel within 24 hours but they are refusing to cancel it.Customer Answer

I booked a flight for April ******* the website has been advertising the flight for $266.09 for the last three days and when they call me about my ticket they tell me its $400 plus dollars then when I told them thats not what his website said they curse at me and hang up on me. I have multiple recordings of the man I have a recording of him cursing me. As well as a transcript of it. I booked a trip for 5 months from now using TopFlightFares. Initially I was charged for $540.30 for two round-trip tickets, but apparently after I paid, the booking had to be changed. TopFlightFares demanded an extra $132.65 from me for this change. At this point I decided to try to cancel the reservation, so I emailed their customer support. I also replied to the agent and asked him to cancel and refund. He claimed no refund was possible due to the flight being non-refundable, but then he proceeded to tell me that cancellation of my flights that are booked 5 months in advance is also impossible. I've filed a complaint with the *********************************, tried further to get TopFlightFares to cancel my flight, and then I initiated a chargeback with my bank. As a last resort, my husband called and managed to get the agent to agree to cancel AND refund the flights, but I have still not received any email confirming my cancellation, the flight confirmation number does not show as cancelled on the airline's website, and there has been no change to the charge with my bank. In addition to the predatory business practices above, the agent insulted me and threatened to involve his "legal team" to deal with "passengers like [me]", and he also told me he reported me to the airline as a "fraud passenger" (but continued to demand the extra $130 "so I could receive my ticket").Customer Answer

My wife went on this sight to get me home asap for my brothers memory service was moved up. And they baited and switched us! First the ticket was $238 so I booked it and after I put my credit card info in the wouldnt let me print ticket.. it, they said pending and to call them, so I did and they said it was no longer available unless I paid more?? And if I canceled I would only get an airline credit?? So I had to take the ticket I was up all night trying to get back for my brothers service.. But by the time the very rude guy from Top Flight Fares I dont know where In the world he came from, when he came back on line he said because he booked the ticket I cant get a refund or a credit?? So I called ***************** and because it was a bereavement I have to file papers to get a credit and send in death certificate which we will .. And I found out that the raise in the ticket was the travel places fee so they post the original airline fees then tell you its no longer available to get you to pay extra for their fee Thats not right we are seniors on SSI and I cant afford to pay for two tickets and then lose almost $400 for this ticket! This company has charged my father $487.29 on 9/3/24 for a ticket that was not only advertised on the website incorrectly but also wasn't on the fight/airlines that he intended to book with. They would not give my father a refund and he has to dispute the charges at his bank. This sham of a company requested transactions and "refunds" to be all done through email. On August ******* at 2:04pm I purchased a plane ticket for my husband ***** ******* for a flight from *******, ***** to ********, ******* on September ****** through Topflightfares for a fight with ***************** in the amount of $316.48. After pushing the confirmation button I received an email stating that my tickets were pending and I could either wait for a callback or call this number ***********. I decided not to wait as I need to get this figured out as soon as possible. I called the number and was directed to a lady named *******. She proceeded to tell Me that the promotion was no longer available and Id have to change my flight and there would be an additional charge of $165.39. I said fine. She then proceeded to tell me that that charge was being denied And she said I needed to call the bank and approve the charge. We did it was still being denied, after many calls, going back-and-forth from the bank and to ******* it still had not been resolved. At that point I had enough and I said I just want to cancel the whole thing as it says right on the thing that I can cancel it, but there may be a fee ******* proceeds to tell me I cannot cancel. After going around again trying to get it okayed and trying to get the transaction approved, its still not going through and I again I want to cancel and she says well you have to wait 24 hours then you can cancel so I say OK well I wanna do that and then she says well you cant cancel. At this point, I feel like something isnt right it is now 7 PM and nothing has been resolved. At 7:09pm ish she tells me shes gonna talk to her people (Which is something she keeps telling me but never calls back so I have to call her) As of right now 9:22pm I am still waiting to hear back from her, which I know, I will not hear back from her. Just the fact that she keeps changing whether or not I can get a refund is a major red flag. There is more but Im only given so many characters it wont all fit.Initial Complaint

A One-way Airlline Reservation was made with Topflightfares and as soon as it was paid with my card and completed; I received the following prompt on the reservation site: Your booking is Pending! Our Associate will reach you shortly. You may also buzz at **************.Topflightfares booking Reference number is ******. This was received at 12:07 AM on 08/04/24. I called their contact # **************, and I was bullied, harassed and made fun of. Topightfares was changing my reservation to leave on 08/05/24 to a different airport so distant from my destination. My reservation was for 08/07/24 for almost doubling the price I had paid. I was told that I was poor since I was not accepting Topflightfares to change my destination city, date, and time for a higher price. I was asked if I knew ************************* and then, told that I was worst than ************************* for not allowing them to force me change my itinerary and that I was being difficult as they were trying to get me home for a double price. They called me names trying to humiliate me. They charged my card. Now, they are trying to make it seem that I cancel and I never did. On December 7, 2023, I purchased airline tickets from Top Flights online via ****** search for flights to ******* from ********. Booking number ****** via SW Airlines was issued for departure on June 30th in ************. SW Airlines had mine and my daughter's names identified in their system but could not issue tickets/boarding passes due to issues with the reservation. They directed me to Top Flights. I contacted them immediately and left VMX with no response - 6:30 AM on Sunday morning. I had to urgently book flights via United directly. I tried MULTIPLE times to contact Top Flights - only *********************** ***************) could help me they said and he refused - noting the incident needed to be investigated yet never responds to f/up calls, etc. I have tried to get reimbursed since June 30th ($1,105.90 in airline charge and $184.40 in their service fee = $1,290.30 total). I have followed up with Top Flights nearly every day that ***** is supposed to be in the office (was supposed to return today but once they received the booking number, noted that he was not in again today). He was supposed to provide an update on Monday. This is Wednesday and he noted he has 700 managers, refusing to allow me to speak to a manager to get resolution. I called SW Airlines and they noted that they did not get paid. ***** noted they had and cannot issue a refund without reimbursement from the airline. He noted SW notes that I flew with them when I didn't and yet SW noted it is clear that I did not fly with them but their system noted that I had flown yet it was a 3rd party noting that. Either way, I did not fly with SW and Top Flights is refusing to truly assist me in getting my money back.Upon further reflection, I did not receive a notification from either SW Airlines nor Top Flights for checking in for the date prior to departure as is customary nor did I receive notification that the original flight time of 7:15 AM was actually moved up to 6:30 AM.Customer Answer
