  Contacted Varsity Plumbing, **********, to correct a leak in a drain pipe. Easy to schedule an appointment. The plumber arrived saw the problem unscrewed 2 fittings applied what looked like a blue colored grease and retightened the 2 fittings. This took about 35 minutes. After the work was done I was presented with the bill, over $400 inc tax. Had I been told how much this would cost before the work was done I would have refused and do the work myself. I live in a condo community of 280 residences I would not recommend Varsity to any of my neighbors and advise then to check other companies for a better price. $400 for 35 minutes time and no parts is excessive.

  Immediate appointment - fixed my heat and hot water leak. - cost was reasonable. - Tech was friendly Informative - and explained costs choices before making the fix - the tech even wore booties with out being asked - not to track dirt through home. Which was appreciated - I definitely will being using varsity for all my ************** An A1 company

  Varsity inspected and serviced my air conditioning system. *****, the technician, did a thorough and excellent job. He provided me with a detailed check list of the inspection and his rating on each item on the check list. I will continue to use Varsity for my cooling needs.

  Varsity Home Service - absolutely would never recommend! Had a $8 tailpiece replaced on my drain under my kitchen sink which took 15 minutes and they charged us $468 - and that was WITH a 10% contract fee discount! Complete price gouging and absolute robbery! The fact that they can justify that is ludacris!

  I had an install crew come to my home to install a ductless mini split system yesterday. From the moment I called, I was pleased with the customer **********************. From **** the supervisor who answered all my questions, to **** the general manager who accommodated me on the schedule, to ********* who helped me with finance concerns, to ***** who conducted my walk thru prior to the install, to the install crew themselves, it was a great experience all the way through. I received an email with photos of the technician's prior to their arrival, so I knew who to expect. They came on time, arrived in uniform and kept my home clean. They explained what would be done prior to starting the job, so that they could customize it to my liking. This team was very professional, and their work was FLAWLESS. *****, *****, and ***** were very polite, and kind, the entire time they were here. I couldn't be any more pleased with my experience from start to finish. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of HVAC services in their home. 5 stars and two thumbs up! So very happy that I chose them for the job. I will certainly be using them again in the future. Thank you Varsity for a job well done, so happy to finally have cool air in my home.

  Interesting way to decline a job after providing an estimate in November. I am glad I did not proceed with the company because if I had gone with Varsity - "problems" would have been uncovered later. I am glad I had other people come out and estimate the job. Rep ******** they need to make $50,000 a day in installs and not waste time on jobs that can take weeks to complete due to complexity. Luckily cameras outside caught the conversation. No wonder they have "best of long island" reviews when they pick and choose who to work with.Response from the company "Just wanted to reach out after our appointment today to communicate our decision for this project. Ive ccd some of our team members so that everyone is on the same page. We will not be providing an estimate for the work you had requested back in November which we are readdressing now. The proposal provided to you back in November will be voided as per this email, we will be walking away from the project as there are too many variables that we cannot control, when we take jobs on there must be a clear cut solution to your problem but in your case there is not. This means if we do not believe a job can be completed correctly to our high standards, it is not the job for us. We understand that the estimate we originally provided to do the work in a proper manner was deemed out of budget. Out of respect for trying to make an alternative work, we sent our representative back to assess whether there was another way to approach the job. After this re-evaluation, our representative determined that alternative solutions would unfortunately not be viable. While we regret to hear you are disappointed in this decision, we believe that disappointment in walking away from a job is a far better outcome than to do the work incorrectly.

  This company took advantage of my 71 year old mother in law. they were supposed to come in and do a simple maintenance job. They ended up bullying her and scaring her into work that WAS NOT NEEDED!!!!. The Unit was 3 years old and did not need any work on it. not only did they do work that was not needed they over charged her $5400 and then did nothing about it. My mother in law has a side apartment on the side of our house and is not even the owner of the home. She shouldn't have been able to ok ANY WORK. They should have called my husband, who was ON THE ACCOUNT and they deleted after we complained. These people are scum and will take advantage of you. They were very nice to her very nice and screwed her out of 5400 dollars. really shady company. The owner and manager also did not care.

  There should only be 5 stars on this companies review page. There is no better and Ive tried more than a few. The techs are highly skilled and knowledgeable. The front office has the best customer **********************. The company functions like all home improvement companies should. They are always available and are reasonably priced.I have used their services at a few of my homes in the past and they have always done a professional job.

  Company is a rip off. Try charging me 1800 dollars for a heating fix that was fixed by another company for ******. This place rips people off. Be aware shop around this company is a disgrace. Plus their fix for 1800 dollars wasnt even the problem. Shameful for a company to knowingly rip customers off. Absolutely unreal
