            We stayed at the Bear Mountain Inn’s overlook lodge for a wedding from 10/7/21-10/9/21. For two nights we paid $473. We booked several months in advance since it was for a wedding. When we called in our reservation we were told we were staying at the Bear Mtn Inn hotel but upon arrival they had us in the Overlook Lodge. My family booked the entire hotel. We encountered the following: Bugs EVERYWHERE including poisonous bugs in the bed and closet and windows and all over the bathroom, our toilet backed up twice all over the bathroom, brown water coming out of the shower, no screens on the 2nd floor windows which I had to block it with furniture to keep my small child safe. Adjoining doors didn’t lock and we didn’t know the other guests. Staff was rude for every encounter. My room key stopped working twice and I had to drive to another building to get a new one. The advertised carousel was closed during operating hours. 3 staff members had no clue where the on site playground was.

            Our whole extended family has been participating in the Bear Mountain Breakfast with Santa for many years. Unfortunately, my family of 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 1,4,7) we're unable to make our reservation due to a positive COVID test. Please know I called the day before to modify our existing reservation of 15 people to 11 due to current health status. I felt it was necessary for the safety of my whole family and your staff that I do not attend due to a positive COVID case. I have reached out many times explaining my situation in hopes of someone understanding. However, was charged the full amount despite not being able to go and participate. Thank you for listening to my feedback on this situation. Please know that my entire family will no longer take part in this family tradition we have started.
