Horrible customer service! I have had a savings account with them for over a year and wanted to open a second one. I accidentally entered an incorrect digit on my funding source account number and now they are telling me I'm unable to ever open a second account with them. I told them if they couldn't help me I would close out my account and they could not care less. Interest rates might be good but you can find those at other, better banks.Quontic Bank Response

This has been the WORST decision of my life. Cant get your money out, once they have it. They repeatedly tell you, you havent given them the information they need to get a withdrawal. Theres absolutely NO communication, NONE. Even if you email them for questions, it takes two to three days for a response. And, its ALWAYS THE SAME THING, you havent given us the information we need. But at the time of OPENING the account..there was no problem with the information at that time..,yeah, be careful.Review from Juan V

STAY AWAY !They closed my accounts with no warning.After multiple successful direct deposits and mobile checks deposits, they claimed one of the three checks I deposited a few days ago was fake. Not sure why. They won't say why. It was a legit payroll check.They actually accepted the other 2 checks. Same ************* company, same everything.But get this. Instead of reaching out, or rejecting the deposit, they simply closed all my accounts and cutoff all access to my funds. I can't even look at my account info online. No warning.And even after many calls back ad forward, they now understand it's not my fault and that there was no intention to defraud. Yet they are still closing my accounts and refusing to even let me look at balances, etc...They are sending me a check (yes, really) for the balance of my accounts. Will not tell me how much.This is absolutely insane.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.YOU WILL REGRET IT.Quontic Bank Response

Their interest rates are great but you have to go through a process of requesting access to link your acct with an outside acct in order to get your money back, which takes a cpl **** before you can even request your money. Since it's an online bank, their customer service should be stellar but it's not. Instead, when I call they direct me to use the app or website. I also tried to open a CD which didn't work. When I called, they said the account is automated, so they won't know why it was rejected, I can just try again and make sure I input the info correctly, which I did the first time. I asked if a rep can assist me with it and I was told no. I guess I'll find another bank that can.Review from andrew e

If there was a way to give zero stars - I would give it. Totally agree that they should not be a bank at all - trial balances never show up; impossible to get money in or out. Tried to close the account five days ago - still having issues with it. This bank should be closed down and consumers warned!!!!Review from Mo C

I received the following response from Quontic after multiple failed attempts, phone calls to customer service, and following their guidance to open a CD:We appreciate your interest in Quontic Bank products!The information provided on our applications is processed through an automated system. We are not provided with specific details why an application is not approved. For this reason, we cannot provide you with more information.Sometimes, application entries are miskeyed, using a business address, or a Chex System freeze was in place and not removed. Please gain confirmation that the freeze was removed before re-applying, it is not always immediate. If this is possible, please apply again using the same email address but capitalize a letter to make the address different. The system is case-sensitive to the log-in and will recognize your entry as a new application.If you are not approved after re-applying, unfortunately, we will not be able to provide you with a Quontic Bank product.Thank you,Quontic Bank They advertise it is easy to open an account and that is a lie. None of these problems listed in the response is noted on the website. No way of knowing why you're rejected? Is this automated system a scam to grab peoples info? Very dishonest and unethical in their practices. Serviced my mortgage and had damage to my home from wind. Escrow ***** lost my insurance check and refused to offer any help took a month to work out on my own. Lied repeatidly even though I had tracking and proof. ALSO YOUR LOAN WILL BE SOLD BEFORE THE 6 MONTH **** TO A NO NAME SHADY GHOST COMPANY. I have never been so glad to get away from a bank.Review from Dr T

Contacted this bank in December of 2021 for a jumbo mortgage loan. Was assigned to loan officer A ****** who had impeccable follow-up. Our initial property's contract was terminated due to issues found during the inspection so soon after we went under contract with another property and **************** was very helpful with expediting the new preapproval and documents. A few weeks following, I was no longer able to reach him. With concern, I reached out to the banks CEO who had Mr. ******************* (loan officer) and ************************* (banks VP) contact me. After ************** spent several minutes trashing the work ethic of **************** and disclosing he was no longer with the the bank, he made promises to make the process streamline then on. ********************** did the same, specifically with resolving their inability to pull me TU credit report since a median score is needed for qualifying rates and down payment. By February this issue still was not resolved and ********************** was also no longer with the bank. Continuous discrepancies between information from ************** and underwriting were frustrating. By March I'd still not received any email correspondence from loan officer ************** who despite apologizing was still not providing resolution to any of the issues. I'm now 4 days out from closing and in the same position with this loan as in January. It's a nightmare. Go elsewhere for your mortgage needs.
