On Saturday, Nov xx, I was trying to pay my properties taxes on line. Then my cp frozen with many icons supposedly from apple, but also with a "phone number " for help. I got nervous, call them, and with coercive tactics they push me to make a check of $ 299 for the service. Immediately, they put the photo booth icon on the bottom of cp screen. They took a picture, and ask me to sent a check to xx xx xxx in Mt.Olive,MS. I was so naive that I sent the check. I begin to receive many call, voice messages, text message from NY, California, Florida, etc, asking me to call them back, otherwise my cp could have problems. I notice my cp different, files relocated to the screen and cp slow. They went to my hotmail and sent an email as an "authorization" and photo of the check to support@quick help 24-7. They also put the check photo on my cp screen. To be safe, I got in touch with the bank that I work with. I cancel my account number and routing number. I put my cp in services and also called *****. ***** sent to me a guide: if you think your ***** ID has been compromised, recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams.
On daily basis, we are so busy working to pay our bills and do our shores. Nobody deserved be scammed and stressed like this.

My computer was hacked, and the screen froze, and I needed to call a number that would help with the issue. I mistakenly assumed the number was to a help line, but it connected me with a "representative" who said he could unlock my computer for $299. He insisted I write a personal check and send it out on the next day. I re-searched the company name that I was supposed to send the check to and that company name *********** has nothing to do with computers.
They proceeded to run a "corrective" program which was to clear any virus, I have sent the check and after re-searching online about the company and how they are scamming people I panicked and stopped payment on the check. They are calling me from all different numbers and now sent me an email.

My computer was hacked and the screen frozen, but with a "call this number" for help. I mistakenly assumed the number was to a ********* or ****** help line, but it connected me with a "representative" who said he could unlock my computer for $349. He insisted I write a personal check and then photographed it. I began to be wary when. although the company was theoretically based in Albany the check was to be mailed to Mt. Olive, MS. They proceeded to run a "corrective" program which was to clear any virus, but which may have actually been planting malware on my computer. To be safe I've removed the computer from service until I can get it cleaned of any malware they may have installed. I have not sent the check and would not send a personal check to a company I don't know. They are bugging me for payment, but I am loath to pay a company that had caused the problem in the first place, in essence holding my computer for ransom.

Well my new **** computer got a Trojan horse virus and some whacky Pakis tried to convince me to pay them $299 immediately to remove it.
I got a screen freeze showing what looked like a legit ********* Virus alert, they had frozen my machine and to call ********* Virus Support team at the number on the screen. (FYI ********* WILL NOT post a phone number to fix an issue) So I called. Of course a Pakistani answered and started blah blah blah, but I wanted his full name, ********* ID....he obliged. He went thru all this mumbo jumbo, took control of my computer, had me d/l a cleaner.
I became suspicious and asked to talk to his supervisor, another Pakistani. He was even more pushy. I told him, how can you prove to me you are with *********. He starts this diatribe that they're a 3rd party that takes care of these virus'. I said, okay when will my computer get free. Oh you have to log onto your bank and transfer $299 now.
WTF!!! Oh man, I went off on him. I said your sitting in a room full of scammers! He indicated they were in NY, I said YOU'RE STILL SCAMMERS! (I had searched for them on the BBB....1 star! Not approved business!) He was getting very nasty...so I told him I wasn't falling for their scam! I hung up, called my SIL....she told me to shut the comp down. I got on ** and found a fix. I restarted my computer, **** already knew the virus was there. They had me wipe the computer of anything vicious. It rest to my original configuration. Restarted itself. I had to reset ALL my passwords.

I, too, was targeted by this company...much like the review below. Fortunately, when the money came up, I backed out. The man that I dealt with identified himself as David W***. The following morning he called to ask why I hadn't called back. When I told him that I'd taken my computer to a local shop, he began to raise his voice and question, question, me. I couldn't get a word in edgewise and hung up on him. My son followed up the next morning with the number he had given me and this man denied having called me completely.
Do not deal with this company!!!!!

March 27, 2023, I responded to an alert that my computer had been infected, and called the number that I was lead to believe was from Windows Defender service, warning me that my laptop firewall had been breached by a Chinese hacker and that I should call a number to "fix" the problem. This was ******* **** **** *** ***** ** ** ****** ******* ** **********, also known as Quick Help 24-7. The caller ID on the phone showed area code 518, which is New York. They asked to take control of the computer to repair the problem and block access from other countries in the future. This gave them access to all my personal files. I was asked to write a check for $1800, take a picture of it and send it to them, which I did. Then I was asked to take it to the post office immediately and send it via certified mail. I became suspicious and did not comply. Since that time, I have had multiple phone calls and e-mails threatening legal action. Please investigate company for legitimacy and for violation of fair debt collections practices.
