    DO NOT BUY A TIMESHARE WITH THE VILLA GROUP/TAFER:
    Our experience with the Villa Group/Tafer Resorts as timeshare owners has been deeply disappointing. Despite being in good standing and fully paying our $90,000 contract—including a significant loan—we have faced unresponsive communication and a lack of transparency.
    First, we were never informed about the "surrender fee" now being presented as the only exit option. This undefined cost was not disclosed during purchase, leaving us feeling blindsided. Transparency around such fees should have been a priority from the start.
    Second, promises made during the sales process around rental opportunities were never fulfilled. We were assured of support and success stories, yet no guidance or follow-through was provided. This broken promise undermines the trust we placed in the company.
    Lastly, the suggestion to attend "company updates" does nothing to address these core issues. A timeshare experience should not be built on vague responses and unresolved problems.
    We expected more professionalism, clarity, and accountability. Villa Group/Tafer Resorts needs to address these discrepancies immediately and provide clear, fair solutions for dissatisfied owners like us. We were trying to do the right thing and contact them directly to cancel our timeshare but they won’t even respond to us. They are most likely trying to avoid that conversation with us.

    The vacation ownership is a scam and they under allocate dedicate rooms making it impossible book your units. The sales team are trained in mis deceptions with lies to seperate you from your hard earned money. The best way to prevent them from causing you to be scammed is to not agree to there bait and switch tactics is to not agree to there presentation. If you want to enjoy there developments go to a 3rd party rental firm like redweek and rent from an owner who has fallen for there scam and will rent there week that typically is less then there MF and if you factor in there cost of money is willing to lose money just to recover some of there losses. If you just have to buy into there program go resale for 1/10 of there developers fees on time shares for sale on ebay

    Worst vacation package you can get read your contract sellers lie and their member services will not help you they will tell you well you should have read contract stay away!!

    Very disappointed in how this experience has been with this timeshare group. Even after submitting numerous requests to cancel the timeshare due to personal health reasons etc - they will not budge. They show no remorse in working with us. As a Disabled Combat Veteran and clearly expressing our situation it has done nothing but fallen on deaf ears. Do not do business with this money thirsty business. Here is a sample of their scripted responses:
    "We truly appreciate your understanding, but unfortunately, the club has reviewed your case and unfortunately is unable to process cancellations at this time. We're committed to the legal terms outlined in the signed contract and promissory note. As long as the financial obligation remains active, we're unable to honor cancellation requests." So do we just default on our financial obligation and ruin our credit history? Unbelievable!

    It is sad to see reviews echoing our experience. Escalating costs, difficulty getting timely reservations. We’ve sought to cancel, but with resistance at every turn. Do not fall into that trap.

    I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve reached out, hoping they would work with me to release
    me from this membership. Each time, I’ve been met with either dismissal or complete silence.
    Calling this timeshare a burden doesn’t even begin to capture the weight it has placed on me.
    I have a medical diagnosis that makes keeping this timeshare entirely impractical, yet when I’ve
    brought this up, it has been blatantly ignored, as though my circumstances don’t matter. There
    is absolutely no value in owning this timeshare anymore. Instead of taking it back and offering it
    to someone who might actually use it (not that I’d recommend it), they continue to string me
    along, refusing to address my requests.
    Consider this a warning—proceed with caution.

    I’m writing this review to share my disappointing experience with my timeshare. Not only has the timeshare itself been a source of frustration, but the process of trying to cancel my membership has been even worse. I’ve been repeatedly told that canceling is not an option, which feels incredibly unfair given that I’m unable to make any meaningful use of the timeshare.
    It’s ironic—and infuriating—that they’ve failed to uphold their end of the agreement while still requiring me to pay for a service I’m not receiving. This practice is simply unacceptable. I hope others see this review and carefully reconsider before getting involved with a timeshare. It’s not worth the hassle or the financial burden.

    The customer service and portal are very poorly designed. I have my account set to auto pay, for 2 years in a row the auto pay has failed with zero notification to me or alerting via email or regular mail that my auto pay did not process and therefore accumulating late fees.
    Their support finally sent a vague email not referencing a past due payment but I replied promptly. Then their staff failed to reply for 4 days and then I have yet to receive a follow up response after 5 attempts to contact them since 2/24. They are showing my account past due, I am willing pay what I owe but not the late fees due to their lack of communication despite all of my information being up to date with auto pay and electronic communication enabled.

    Estos tipos me pusieron una tarjeta de $3000 dollars en ell enganche y ya avia dado dos payment. Mela pusieron a interval del banco comedy banco son unas ratas y luego te dan cervezas cosa q es ilegal cuando estás firmando el contrato y luego te ponen el 14% interés al final la membresía te sale en 20.000 no confíen en estas ratas

    These guys put a $3000 dollar card in the down payment and I had already given two payments. Mela put the interval of the bank comedy bank are rats and then they give you beers which is illegal when you are signing the contract and then they put 14% interest in the end the membership comes out at 20,000 don't trust these rats

    I used the hotel VILLA DEL PALMAR CANCUN in 2016 in Cancun Mexico and they used my information and my credit cards to give me a membership without my authorization.
    I have tried to contact the hotel but when I explain to them they stop the call and communication is impossible. Now I have problems with my credit report because I appear in all of them.
