    I was charged almost $2000 for a bartending program. After starting the program and taking a few lessons I talked with my instructor about the course. I was told at this time that the school is seriously dropping the ball. They do not have a vet process for instructor or check credentials. The kit as well as work material paid for is 20 years out of date. The instructor did not have the same books or material we had which he was supposed to be teaching us as well as no way to access online course we had to take so he couldnt answer questions we had. In addition to all that the instructor actually gave us a list of books to purchase and we used those for the course with him completely abandoning the course in order to get an actual education or knowledge of what LBS was supposedly giving us. The company refuses to process my certification now until I pay the last payment because I took the lessons even after telling them how unhappy I was and I didnt want to finish the course. The school contacted me and said they would process my certifications at first and now are refusing until payment when they havent provided any of the service they claim to provide or even updated or good material. I honestly would like a full refund or at the very least my certifications processed

     This letter is in response to ************************* complaint. I have checked the ****** this client agreed to, and to be specific, the ****** has been successfully completed. We provided one of our best instructors to ensure the client will be given the best bartending ******. The client selected one of our premium-tiered packages, including a certificate and the master bartending bible, indicating their intention to start a business. When they agreed to take ******s with us, during the touch-base period where we called the client to discuss the package, introduce the instructor, discuss the ****** schedule, etc., they were given our direct line for them to contact us in case they needed something or wanted to provide recommendations for the betterment of their ******. However, we have not heard from this client until the end of their ******.

    Regarding the feedback on the following points:

    1.Instructor Hiring Process - we have our recruitment team in place, filtering all applicants and ensuring we hire the best instructors in town.
    2.Bar Kit - this has now been worked on, and every quarter of the year, we review our kit and make necessary changes.
    3.Bar Bible - what has been given to the client is a master bartender bible to be used for their business. Nevertheless, we have revisited our Instructor's workbook, and this is being worked on as well.
    4. Issuance of Certificate is done after the ****** has been completed. We have our bartending certificate team assisting clients with their certificates. We process certificates in the shortest possible time, with no delays. As for the payment, if the client agrees to the payment plan, then our billing team will collect any missing amount from them to ensure the client's account will be cleared.

    Feedback from this client is truly appreciated, as it provides us with a valuable means to enhance our school.

    It wouldn't let me type anymore characters in the complaint. I also wanted to say that the 350 they shorted me they said it was for scheduling fees, bartending kit and an online certification. The online session was nothing but ******* videos on how to make drinks. It was nothing. The main goal was to get trained by a professional instructor and be apart of a professional job placement program. The docsign states the bartending kit was 49 dollars. I'm fine if they take that off but being short 350 dollars for a program that was false advertised and I didn't have one in person class is highway robbery.nstructor. She later said I would have to drive 50 minutes away from my house and possibly do zoom ******s. I told her NO because I was told everything is local. She later said she found an instructor that will go to my house. At that point I asked for a refund because the program was not what I was told. The docusign paper stated I could get a refund if the program was not living up to my expectations. She said " Also it says no refunds for loss of Interest. I was still interested but not in a false advertisement program. So I finally got her to lower the program to a less expensive price. It went from **** to **** total. The first day of my ****** My instructor was a no call no show. I contacted lbs and they said they will give me a premium instructor even though I thought all the Instructors would be premium since this is a high dollar school. I declined the offer and they refunded me 750. They said 350 is for the bartender kit. I need my 350 back also.

    Hello there!

     

    Client **** was given one of our preferred instructors to ensure he'll be taken care of, we have also given him the option to do an online ****** if he cant do it in person, we have sent him our BAR KIT, paid for the customer service who assisted him and even for the instructor **** process. The company invested a lot for us to give the best for him. His reason for canceling the ****** since he is no longer interested, should not be a valid reason since we are running the business, but we honored it and we gave him the necessary refunds since we wanted to consider his best still. If he finds it unfair for us to take that amount from him, that is the best deal we can offer him.

    *************************** I did not lose interest. I still want to be a bartender. I was told from the beginning that in person classes were available for the selected time and dates. Later lbs said an instructor will come to me. The first day the instructor was a NO CALL NO SHOW!!!! Does that sound like one of their "preferred instructors" as they just stated? The docusign says I'm ******* to a refund if the program is not up to expectations and if the instructor cancles. No option was available to do it online. I was told the online portion was to be completed before training from the so called " professional instructors". They can keep the 50 for the bar kit but I want my refund. Short 350 dollars for an instructor no call no show for the first ****** is not exeptable. LBS was nothing but lies. If they didn't have an instructor available from the start that's not my fault they had to do a "****" because they said they had classes available.

    They did ask if I wanted to do zoom lessons AFTER the payment but why on earth would I do zoom lessons when I paid top dollar for a local in class setting school? All the evidence is here. The program is not what I signed up or paid for. Their excuse is that I lost interest. Like I previously stated I'm still interested in becoming a bartender.  The only money that is not refundedable is the bartending kit which was 49 dollars. Other than that I expect every ***** back I invested in this program.

    Any update on my refund? It's been one week with no response. LBS charged me for a service they failed to provide. Bottom line is if their instructor didn't come that's on lbs. They can not steal my 350 dollars. I will contact my bank if nothing happens.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    I did not agree. LBS basically said take it or leave it. I had no other choice. If I didn't accept it they would of gave me nothing. I told them I didn't agree, I want the whole amount invested minus the bartending kit and they said this is all they can do. I'm hoping BBB can help me get the remaining funds. If not their has to he someone I can call. This is flat out stealing. Why would I pay 350 dollars for a service that they failed to provide? I already gave all the evidence. How is this legal? If I steal 350 dollars from someone I'll be thrown in jail. Why can they get away with this?

    I am rejecting this response because: what was offered was not the truth. I was told that they had a location for the training . If I would have been told that they would be coming to my home I would have never signed up for the classes. I am requesting my full refund. It was false advertising. They arent entitled to the $85.

I responded that the class was scheduled for May 18 , which is over two weeks away , so at no time is the instructor being inconvenienced . He responded that he understood but that he would need to deduct that amount . I stated that this was nowhere in the agreement I signed and wanted my full refund . I have yet to receive a call in regards to my refund . This company is a scam. If they dont refund me I will contact my credit card company .

    I have been assigned to ***** for scheduling my ******s. She was very hard to contact and the date I was promised to have my first ****** was on March 22. Before the week of March 22, ***** told me the instructor was in ********** which is an hour drive from my place. We got to talk about it and I told her I needed an instructor close to home. She said that was her next step. *** been constantly reaching her by calls, texts, and emails but she wasnt responding at all. So in that week, Ive been talking to online support chat to cancel and refund my money. I emailed them as well about the cancellation. A week passed after trying to cancel my ****** and ***** messaged me saying she found an instructor near my home. I emailed them again saying I wanted to cancel. I have wasted my time so I want my money back. *** (Supervisor) called me March 30 saying hes gonna fix it and ***** is no longer with the company. This company has been wasting peoples time.

    I was interested in a bartending course and left my phone number and email in the chat box A customer service rep called and texted a few times about the course but i was hesitant. After persistently reaching out to me i agree to purchase a course over the phone.There was no info given on refund or cancellation policy. Just general course info and gave credit card over the phone.A week or so letter i changed my mind before my expected start date and this was when i was told of the $100 cancellation fee. That was fine, however they go on to tell me something about course access, and course certificate fee which ends up taking over 80% of my money away from the refund. I was never told any of this, i never accessed the online course or even signed their waiver agreeing to the course. This is where i continually told them i didn't agree and wasnt told and they still would not give me a full refund.

    This company is a scam and should be discredited. I was interested in taking archery ******s. I spent almost an hour on the phone with them getting all of the information etc. They forced me to sign a waiver that I clearly expressed was not readable on my phone but they said I had to sign it to receive ******s. I payed a deposit and a first ****** was scheduled. No one ever showed up. I tried contacting them after that and could never reach anyone. My money is long gone but I want to prevent other people from having the same thing happen to them.

    Hi BBB Team,

    The client actually was contacted to finalize schedule both her schedule and the instructor's schedule for their ****** last December 20, 2020. But on the 22nd of December, 2020 she requested to cancel all her ******s due to tight budget. Our customer service team advised that there is an $85 cancellation fee on the waiver she signed and offered to put the ******s on hold, which is valid for 1 year, and ********************* agreed to put the ******s on hold and told us she might be able to take the ****** in the next couple of months. The client only paid the downpayment of $100.

     

    She contacted us back May 13, 2021 to request to cancel her ******s. Our customer service advised her again about the cancellation fee and the ******s are currently on hold and she agreed to leave it that way. 

    ********************* never contacted us back again to claim the ****** up until it expires.

    **** signed up for the bartending classes. ( I am filing the complaint because I am the one who paid the tuition) The program consisted of online, and then 4 in person classes. The ability to access the online classes had no issue. As soon as the deposit was made, they were able to create a profile and take the classes. The problems started when it was time to do the in person classes. The first time they scheduled it (Early November), it fell through and we were understanding because things happen. The second time,(November 27th) the instructor just never showed up, didn't answer emails, calls or texts. And the scheduler didn't reply until **** said we were going to request a refund. Then she replied and set up another time for the lessons. Once again, when the time came(December 5th), the instructor was a no show, and has not returned any communications. At this point, it is clear this is a scam. We would like our money back. If not I will be filing a dispute of the charge with my credit card company.

We were able to speak with client over the phone last Friday, 16th of December, and he decided not to continue any more lessons with us. Thus, the full amount of $1,298 was refunded to him which will take 3-5 business  days.     I am writing to place a complaint against this company as i have payed $1200 for a bartending course in the beginning of October, 2022. I was assigned an instructor from my city and we had arrangements for when our ******s were supposed to take place, for two and a half weeks since my ******s started i have had 1 ****** due to my instructor continuously canceling on me, this was only supposed to be a 3 week course which i am now on the 3rd week with no real ******s. I have reason to believe my instructor is currently under the influence of drugs due to her behaviour, continuously cancelling and creating excuses on top of being very jittery in person and not being able to focus on the course, i was pressured into consuming alcohol in which i said no to because i had to drive home, and i just didnt feel comfortable nor should my instructor be asking me to consume alcohol at all during a class, i have been very understanding of her situation and her canceling up until today when i was threatened by her boyfriend to straighten up my attitude, as to why i am even being contacted by my instructors boyfriend is beyond me. I told her i couldnt do ******s any more because of her behaviour and i was told that i wont get a refund or a certificate of completion because of it. I have had a horrible experience with this company and instructor and now i have been subjected to threats in which i am worried for my safety due to this persons erratic behaviour. I have attempted to contact the company in hopes of a way to complete this course or to receive a refund because i have payed for a service in which i have not received, but they wont get back to me.

    As for her initial instructor, we temporarily removed her from our program after discussing these opportunities that we can further develop to improve on customer's experience.

    We signed up for 6 skateboard lessons which occurred. 5 months later we received any email saying they would charge our credit card for the next month of lessons. We never signed up for a subscription. We immediately tried to contact the company via email and phone with no response. Our credit card has now been charged $599 two months in a row. No services were authorized by us and no services have been provided. This company cannot change us for services we did not sign up for or agree to.

    I was set up with an instructor to have my first in home ****** on September 8th. The instructor did not show up. There was someone I was supposed to contact regarding customer service and they told me that my instructor did show up and no one answered the door. I have never been in direct contact with this instructor and if the instructor were to have actually come, then he would've been detected by the camera on my front porch. After continuously asking about this instructor and not receiving any information regarding my next class or anything, I finally settled for getting a new instructor. I was told I would be updated on info regarding the new instructor within the day on 9/14 and have received nothing. No one answered my phone call today (9/15) so I am resorting to this. Either do the in home ******s I was promised or give me a full refund of the $848 that has been charged to my card. Until I see an instructor at my home, I'm turning off my card so that I will not be charged for ******s that were never given.
