            We booked a room at the Sahara Las Vegas through Ticketmaster after purchasing comedy show tickets and reading that it was NEWLY renovated. To be sure, I called the hotel after booking to verify it was remodeled since its so old and the staff verified my name checked my reservation and happily said YES! You are in the Alexandria tower its brand new! So yay we were so excited to try a new place! We arrived got our room keys and headed up to our room to find a creepy room with a weird creepy mirror above the bed???? We only had enough time to get ready go to the show and head out but it was really weird. After the show we returned to the room and felt very awkward wondering what could possibly be on the other side of the mirror. Was it two way? I didnt sign up for this!? The walls were covered with creepy old canvas tapestries a white stained couch so gross and just freaky weird. When I contacted the resort recently to ask what happened? Why I was put in a old room with a creepy over the bed mirror they said unfortunately they arent sure why the mirror was there?? I feel my privacy was violated maybe more than I know and they did a bait and switch in me and marketed one thing and gave me another! How can they not explain the mirror? Why did the front desk lie to us?? Its so stressful thinking about if someone was on the other side of the mirror and how we got ripped off.

            Checked into the Sahara hotel around 4pm from San Diego for my 30th bday. Reported urine stains on sheets to front desk after checking in. Room service came in and changed sheets. After brushing our teeth and getting ready for dinner, we reported that the bathroom sink was clogged. We left the room and went to dinner and a show. Upon our return, noticed my girlfriend’s underwear and private clothing was thrown across the room. Your staff went through her undergarments in her suitcase. How sickening! Also noticed that her new Louis Vuitton purse was stolen, a bag of bread/belongings left in the room by the thief which was picked up by hotel security, and a half burnt cigarette on the night stand. Sahara hotel report number is: 24-1462. Disgusting room, disgraceful staff, and hands down the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in Vegas. Filed a report with LVPD, the Meruelo Group (ownership), and will be contacting an attorney in both CA and NV if this does not get amicably resolved.
