October 7 2025 I signed up for a 99 cent trial offer and 8 days later was charged $39.95 for a subscription When I saw the charge on my debit card I emailed the company customer service team and was told that I neglected to cancel my subscription as stated on their website I believe the website was deceptive because the cancellation policy was not obviously visible I was told they could not refund or reverse the charge but they finally told me that they would cancel my subscription and provide me two years free by a customer service representative named Kaia.Yesterday I was c Then yesterday October 21 I was charged another $39.95 and when I responded to Kaias email and called attention to the additional charge a different representative responded telling me my subscription wasnt canceled in time and that they couldnt refund the recent charge I told that representative that I wanted a refund and was told again that they couldnt do it I dont believe that they couldnt reverse the charge because other charges have been reversed or refunded It is my opinion that the company is guilty of deceptive practices and that potential customers should be made awareBusiness Response

On 9/20, I made a purchase for a one time service of $.99. It was not made clear that there was a subscription attached to the purchase. On 10/2 I was charged $39.95 for a subscription that I did not agree to as I had only purchased a one time service. I was not informed that I would be charged for this and was not made aware that my account had been charged until I checked my bank statement. I immediately went to the company website and cancelled my account. I was charged another $.99 charge on 10/9 after cancellation. After trying to contact the company, I received an automated response and was offered 2 years of free services which I declined. Use thebestpdf.com on August 29, 2025. Did a one-time download for 99cents and a 7-day plan for $1.95. Seven days later, on September 4, I was charged 2 x $39.95 for two monthly subscriptions which ran concurrently. How is it even possible to have two 30-day subscriptions running at the same time for one service?! I reached out the company immediately and requested a refund. At first, they appear helpful and agreed to cancel the subscriptions. By September 30 I realized I still had not received my refund and so I contacted the company. They offered me 2-year access instead of a refund. I respectfully declined, as I prefer to use the service on demand and cannot afford to invest so much for a service that use only now and again. They did not respond to my email. I wrote the following day citing their Subscription Terms, which states:"The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (each week, month, 6 months, year, or otherwise, depending on the option selected by you at the time of purchase) until you cancel."Given this policy, I explained that based on the options I selected at checkout, if my 7-day plan renewed at the end of the period, renewal would have only been $1.95 for the second week, and the single file download (albeit this product should not even have a renewal as it is a single download), would only have been 99cents. Thus, I kindly asked that they deduct the $2.99 and refund me the balance of my money, since it is clear that based on their policy I was overcharged in error.They have not replied to my email and also there is no credit on my account, as I used the service on September 26th and had to pay upfront.Business Response
