Employees or people related to the company increase the value of the auction when it begins, causing the value of the product to rise from the moment it is published. This is a bad tactic to increase the final product. Some items are at the same price as ****** and Nellis products do not have any guarantee.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on our website. We apologize for any confusion or frustration caused by the bidding system.

We would like to clarify that the bidding process on our site is based on the concept of proxy bidding. This means that when you place a bid, you are actually setting the maximum amount that you are willing to pay for the item. The system will then automatically bid on your behalf in increments until your maximum bid is reached or exceeded by another bidder.

While it may appear that bots are outbidding you, in reality, it is the proxy bidding system at work. We assure you that our site strictly prohibits the use of bots or any other form of unfair advantage in the bidding process.

We have created an informational video on our YouTube channel that explains the proxy bidding process in more detail. We invite you to watch it here: ********************************************

We appreciate your feedback and will continue to strive to provide a fair and transparent bidding process for all of our users. We would like to encourage you to update your review to reflect a more accurate understanding of our bidding system. We take all feedback seriously and value the opportunity to improve our platform for our users.

BEWARE! If you like to gamble, this is probably the store for you. They promote one item on the website and fulfill something completely different. When you question it, they just say sorry it was "misdescribed", but don't worry we have a 7 day return window. So shopping, watching, bidding, picking up, etc have no value. It is worse than a casino. At least at a casino you know what you can win...here - not so much. You can see the photo of what I won, and the "misdescribed" item that was provided.

Nellis is a fantastic auction site. The entire process from bidding online to pickup is incredibly streamlined and smooth. Every employee I have interacted with is does a great job and has a good attitude, I think this says a lot about the company.
Inspect your purchases, they go through tens of thousands of items. Some things will be missed but they will do the right thing if you return with 7 days.

Buyer beware!! I have purchased many items, some have been great. I am out of state and had my son pick things up for me. Their descriptions are wrong, they sold items stating new and were obviously used. I bid thinking the item was new, and then it was missing parts. One item was broken and covered in cat hair, so obviously used. A kitchen faucet listed as new had water come out of it when I pulled it out of the box, and was missing a piece. It was about 3 weeks after when I went to used these (doing a remodel) I called to try to return. They said they might make an exception, but manager would call me in a couple hours. No one ever called me back. Horrible customer service. They should stand behind the way the list the products. Very deceptive. It would be a great place to buy things, if you could trust how they list the description of the items.

Descriptions are often wrong. They list things as new when they are used or missing parts. They won’t allow returns after 7 days but sometimes you don’t use or assemble the items right away and you don’t know things are missing. Brick and mortar stores give 30 day minimums return window. At this business, it’s buyer beware as they’re so worried about their metrics and speed, that quality is pushed the the side. How about slowing down, taking pictures and listing being descriptor accurately so customers know what they’re getting.

I won five items, drove ~45 minutes one-way to pick up the items, and then when I got home I noticed that an item was missing. When I opened one of the boxes it was not the item I had purchased (an "elevated outdoor dog bed"), but a vinyl blackout roller shade. Talking with customer service has been slow and ridiculous. This is a literal quote from their email: "The item was unfortunately mislabeled and does not exist." They literally sold me an item that does not exist. Instead of being horribly embarrassed at their bizarre mistake (and perhaps an illegal one? Is it legal to sell someone something that doesn't exist?), the representative said that I could only get my money back "as long as you bring back the item to the warehouse." They want me to drive another hour and a half roundtrip to drop off a cheap set of blinds that they accidentally put in my car and only at that point will they give me my money back for the item I intentionally bought but doesn't exist. Additionally, regarding one of the other items I purchased, it was listed explicitly as not missing any parts, but the outdoor umbrella was missing the bottom pole of the umbrella. You can get lucky and get some steals, but that goes both ways and sometimes you'll get scammed, too.

I have been on NellisAuction for 2.5 months and have spent over $6800.
      EXCELLENT DEALS - IF -
      1. You pay close attention to the pictures and description.
      2. You learn how to bid (not complicated).
      3. You don't get carried away.
      4. You are courteous and don't try to hog every item when there are multiple items of the same thing.
      ON THE DOWN SIDE.
      1. The pictures are too few and too often suck, which often seems purposely, and which is why you have to pay close attention to them. I cannot count the times I received an item that was so much bigger or smaller than what I thought I saw in the pictures. Too often, I did not carefully read the description and assumed I was getting what the pictures showed.
      2. **AT LEAST** 1 out of every 4 items I have received was not wholly described correctly, sometimes unacceptably. Only in about 1 in 8 or 9 times was it better than described.
      3. If you wait until the last 5-15 seconds to bid, you run a very real risk of your bid not registering or not registering at the right moment. You may have bid higher than the winner, but the system will show you lost because it cannot always determine who won when the bids come in within a close fraction of a second of each other. The more people bidding on the same item and the busier the site is, the more it happens.
      4. Nellis' SUGGESTED RETAIL (SR) price is not always correct. YOU MUST COMPARE PRICES ON ****** every single time when you do not already know the price. Sometimes the item may sell for WAY less on ****** than the SR shown on both Nellis and ******. On a few occasions I paid more on Nellis than I would have on ******.
      5. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO ADD 25% WHEN BIDDING!!!!!
I cannot count how many times I bid my max, but forgot to add the 15% Premium Fee and tax. Since the Premium Fee is also taxable, we pay almost exactly 10% in taxes on everything we buy. Ergo, we pay almost exactly 25% more on top of our bid.

They treat employees like a number. I hurt my back at work one of my supervisors gave me a back brace and said get back to work. Till this day my back is mess up. ?? the harder you work the more they want from you. They are short on staff because of the way the treat there employees. A customer can not like you for the color of your skin . And make a fake report about you . The employees will get in trouble.
