    My son had tubes placed in his ears by ENT consultants of Nevada MD on July 20. I was told I would receive a call from the anesthesiologist's office. The day before the surgery, 7/19, ******* called me to tell me that I would owe $420 for the procedure. I asked how she could know that without checking with my sons dual insurance coverage first. She mentioned something about the deductible and then said that he couldnt have the procedure without the amount being paid upfront so I asked her to send me the bill and I paid it. After my son's procedure, I called the office in late August to find out why our insurance had not been charged. ******* stated that they were behind on billing that they do batches, she would contact them to get back to me. I called again on September 7 and she said that she would have somebody give me a call back. I had waited at least a week and nobody called me back. I called her again on September 19 to get the status, and she said she would escalate to a manager who stated he would do it himself. I waited until the end of the month to see if my sons primary insurance was billed. I tried calling again at the beginning of October but nobody picked up. I did notice that the charges went through the next week but I didnt see anything go through my insurance. I called her again on October 19 and asked why my insurance was not billed. She said that she would talk to somebody about getting that taken care of so that way they could send me a refund. It is the end of October and my insurance still has not been billed.

    It's pretty bad when they have a 1.1 star rating on Google - most of which is due to billing and the office staff. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Billed more than TWO YEARS after a proceedure. No communication in between time of service and the bill that I got slammed with. Called to find out what's going on and office staff (I'll reserve her name) was initially friendly and helpful. After several calls and her working with the "finance department", I was offered an adjusted amount and the ability to make monthly payments. I was told not to pay until she sent a revised statement with the payment schedule on it. All seemed well. A month later I receive another statement. The payment was minimally adjusted (not to the level we agreed to), and no payment schedule was indicated. I called and she suddenly had amnesia and I was out of luck, so to speak, because she didn't document ANYTHING we spoke of during those initial calls. BUT I DID. EVERY WORD OF IT - with dates and times... all the details. But, because she neglected to do her professional duty, she refused to accept my detailed documentation, effectively calling me a liar. Too bad so sad for me, apparently. I confirmed I'm still on for the payment schedule we originally agreed to (and reminded her of the details thereof). Yes, was her answer. No further statements arrived, with or without payment schedules, until this week when I get the ol' "your account is past due... pay the full amount or face collections", with the additional statement that if I am unable to pay in full now I should contact their office to - GET THIS - MAKE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS!
