We have a home warranty company that called out the right guys for our sink leaking and not draining properly and for our garbage disposal. They ONLY looked at our garbage disposal and apparently disconnected piping and failed to put it back together properly. They refuse to come out and address the original problem or fix their mistake. They simply told us to call the warranty company.

    Business Response

We received an initial work order from Cinch Home Warranty in May regarding a leaking garbage disposal. Upon our technician's arrival, he discovered and removed an old butter knife from the disposal unit, which restored its functionality. We have provided pictures to document this. After removing the knife, the technician ran the water for 15 minutes to ensure there were no active leaks, and none were found.

Two months later, in July, we received a recall for the garbage disposal. Our technician found that the issue was a stoppage in the kitchen drainage, not the garbage disposal itself. As this was outside the scope of the original work order, we informed the warranty company and sought authorization to snake the drain. Unfortunately, the warranty company did not approve the additional work and subsequently closed the work order.

We strive to provide excellent service and regret any inconvenience caused. We were constrained by the warranty companys authorization process, which impacted our ability to resolve the issue promptly. We value our customers and are committed to addressing and resolving any concerns to the best of our ability.

The original scope of work was not only for the garbage disposal. It was for the sink not draining properly. The technician removed parts of the piping that are now leaking.
this is twice now they have come and only inspected part of what was on the work order.
