I talked with **** on the phone about getting a windshield replaced. He told me he had the windshield and quoted me $185 but than later I call him back to set up a appointment and he quotes me $190. I bring my truck in to get it worked on and I'm told it well take 2 hours. I waited an hour and a half until **** comes out to me in the waiting room saying they don't have the windshield for my truck due to miscommunication and his workers being too scared to tell me themselves and rather stay in the back afraid to tell me and his lead man is unqualified, unfit and unprofessional to handle his position and do his job. He offers me a used windshield that had a crack and he would offer me a discount on. I refused because I waited a hour and a half, he told me before he had the windshield in stock so I wanted what was agreed on. A few minutes later one of the workers brings me my keys and I leave. I find out later that my glasses are missing in the center console in my truck, I call ****************** and they say they'll have **** call me back. I go back to Gallup custom tinting to confront them and notice the workers who all wear glasses claim they didn't open the console, all while acting nervous, fidgeting their hands, too afraid to look at me and one even claimed I had glasses on top of my hat which I didn't. I wait to speak to **** for almost 45 minutes and he is completely uncoordinated, unprofessional and uncooperative. He takes me in the back with the workers which is meaningless cause they at this point all had time to talk among each other and agree on a story to cover each others and claims their all honest good workers who been with him for years but I don't believe that one bit because how you going to tell me that your workers are bad at communicating, don't know how to do inventory, his lead man is unqualified, unprofessional and unfit for his position but than later tell me their good workers and honest? Don't make sense.. I told him I would call the police and he laughs and says "I dont give a shit". He's clearly not a good manager, unprofessional and uncoordinated. He talks negative about his workers to put blame on them to cover his own **** and than says their good workers later. They need to learn how to do inventory better, be more responsible for their actions and mistakes, learn core of values of not lying, cheating or stealing, Be more equal to a paying repeated client especially one who wasted his time and gas for nothing and had property stolen. After reviewing customer’s statement, it seems as though nothing can rectify the situation, as he stated he will not be back to Gallup Custom Tinting Inc (GCT) and has provided his experience to others, either to discourage others from doing business with GCT or to validate his own experience, which is ok. It is his/her right, to do business with whoever he/she chooses. Since he/she contacted BBB to provide his/her perspective of what transpired that day, I will provide mine. Customer contacted Gallup Custom Tinting regarding a windshield for his/her vehicle and was told the window was in stock, however, a GCT employee, who is an auto glass installer and not a Manager or lead employee, as stated in the complaint, said the window was in stock. The appointment was made based on that information. Once Customer arrived for his/her appointment, Gallup Custom Tinting Staff discovered the window was not in stock. Unfortunately, COVID has had an effect on everything and Gallup Custom Tinting is no acceptation. Gallup Custom Tinting is down to less than half the employees it had prior to COVID and all parts being ordered are experiencing delays for a multitude of reasons. With that said, there is tremendous stress felt by everyone including vendors, business owners and customers. Customer did wait longer than I had realized, which I apologized for. I informed him/her the employee made a mistake when counting the inventory and made the mistake even worse by waiting too long to let Customer or myself know the window was not in stock. Yes, I was extremely upset with the employee with regard to these mistakes. In an honest effort to make up for this, I offered him/her a new window which did have a small chip, that was previously repaired. Keep in mind, chips larger than a quarter cannot be repaired and was by no means cracked or used and was hardly visible. It wouldn't have been option otherwise. Of course this was offered at a discount and not the original price quoted. Customer refused the offer, did not want to wait for a new window- which would have had to been ordered and threatened me with this report to the BBB before he/she left GCT. A while after leaving, Customer called upset over missing glasses, despite the numerous signs instructing customers to remove all belongings, as GCT Staff are not responsible for lost items. GCT has had calls of items being stolen only to get called back saying the item was found somewhere else. I did, however, ask the employees if they had seen a pair of glasses. The only time glasses were seen were sitting on top of the baseball cap customer was wearing. At no time did staff remember seeing glasses in the vehicle. I did say the employee messed up on the inventory count and then messed up by not bringing it to my attention sooner but I stand by my statement, Gallup Custom Tinting staff are honest individuals and despite what Customer has heard, from family members and/or friends, I have had zero legitimate complaints regarding stolen items in, at least, the past ten (10) years. Gallup Custom Tinting has been in business for over 34 years and have learned we cannot satisfy everyone. We are all human trying to survive a recent pandemic that has had a wide range of negative effects on just about everything. Again, based on Customer’s statement, there is no way to rectify this matter other than to go our separate ways. Thank you for your time.Customer Response

Alot of misleading false information here by Fred but like he said being in business for 34years I would guess by than you have to be good at it and I'm impressed with his show of verbal professionalism in this subject here on BBB but in person he's nothing like this. My means is not to rectify anything but I'm only trying to warning the public and save them their time, gas, patience and not risk having their property stolen. I'm sure they'll find better work and true professionalism else where but whats sad is when your trying to support local businesses and help them stay afloat especially after a pandemic like what Fred says and they show you the negative side to the way they run and do business. Yes humans all make mistakes but being in business for 34 years you would think you have better communication, be better equipped, more respectful, responsible, have better inventory methods and have better knowledge of your employees capabilities and better knowledge who you hire. I was long gone and took my business else where way before Fred even thought we should go our separate ways without rectifying. Thank you
