In October 2025, BBB Serving New Mexico and Southwest Colorado investigated SL Data Services, LLC. This investigation was prompted due to receiving a large number of complaints, reviews, and scam tracker reports.
Consumers alleged that SL Data Services, LLC was enrolling them in subscription services without their knowledge or consent, resulting in unexpected recurring charges.
BBB Contacted the business via email and US Postal mail. BBB Requested information and documents that would assist in understanding the business' practices and the reason for the increase in consumer reports.
BBB received a response from SL Data Services, LLC. In the response the business indicated:
- Consumer satisfaction is their top priority
- The business reviewed their marketing and billing disclosures to confirm that all terms are clearly presented before purchase.
- To ensure transparency and prevent consumer confusion, SL Data Services:
- Conducts regular user interface reviews
- Adjusts processes when complaint patterns appear
- Trains staff on communication and complaint handling
- Maintains a strict refund policy when consumers express dissatisfaction
