1 starSubject: Formal Complaint Regarding Premium ******************************** Service (********, ** ? *******, **)Dear Freedom Moving & Storage,I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the premium packing and moving service I purchased for my relocation from ********, ** to *******, **. (July26, July 28, 2025) I chose your company, under the Mayflower brand, specifically because of its reputation for professionalism and quality. Unfortunately, my experience fell far below those standards.Despite paying a premium fee for packing, I found that my belongings were handled in a manner that was careless, disorganized, and ultimately damaging: Suit jackets were found balled up in boxes with heavy books on top of them. Boxes labeled for specific rooms contained random items from other rooms, creating confusion and delays while unpacking. A Burberry coat was discovered crumpled in a box marked books, still on its hanger, crushed under the weight of books. An expensive antique bicycle bag was removed from the bicycle, flattened under kitchenware, and its leather straps were damaged in the process. Many other items were packed haphazardly, with little regard for protection or organization.This level of service is unacceptable, particularly considering the premium cost. The move appeared to have been performed with speed as the only priority, with no regard for professionalism, proper packing standards, or the preservation of my ************* a result of this negligence, several of my possessions have been damaged or ruined. I am requesting compensation for the damage and a written explanation of how your company intends to address these issues to ensure they do not happen to future customers.Please consider this my formal complaint. Subject: Response Regarding Your July 2025 *************************************** acknowledge receipt of your recent correspondence and regret to learn of your concerns.Please be advised that this is the first notification we have received regarding any issues arising from your relocation in July 2025, despite our routine follow-up calls and emails sent after a move is completed.
At this time, we have not received a formal claim. Please note that a complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau does not constitute a formal claim.Submission of the completed form is required to begin the formal claims process.
Our documentation indicates that all items were delivered in apparently good condition and that no damages were noted at the time of delivery.We are unable to upload documents through this platform; therefore, these documents will be sent directly to your email on file- (****************************************)along with a formal claim form.
We must also advise you that, under the governing guidelines for intrastate moves, a claim must be filed within 90 days from the date of delivery. We encourage you to complete and return the claim form as soon as possible to ensure compliance with this requirement.
We appreciate your cooperation in following this procedure, which ensures that your concerns are properly documented and addressed in accordance with established guidelines.

5 starsFrom inventory, packing and loading, it was a good experience. The key was a great move coordinator who was always there to answer my many emails and phone calls when required. 5 starsI worked with Freedom Moving and Storage recently on my relocation to ******** and am really happy with their services. From the start, meeting with the sales representative and coordinating the arrival details with the move coordinator all the way through the packing and delivery of my furniture and other items, I am pleased with everything. The move team took their time with packing my home on move out day and the delivery felt like a breeze and stress free. ******** and his colleague listened to my concerns about possibly needing another storage space and worked efficiently to pack my items into the space. 5 starsI moved from Long Island to Virginia and 2 moving companies were involved. Liberty packed my possessions and Mayflower delivered them. Mayflower had more of a challenge since I had 3rd floor apartment. They did a great job. Everything arrived in perfect condition. 5 starsI wish I could give more stars to Freedom Moving and Storage. ********************* did a great job with the estimate and ***************************** did an equally awesome job coordinating the move. Most importantly, **** and his crew were incredibly diligent and professional during the actual move out/move in to our new home. Our closing was incredibly complicated with our buyer's lender causing delays that pushed the closing out by a week after we had already moved out of our home. The entire team at Freedom Moving was very understanding and able to reschedule everything to accommodate us and the fluctuating timeline.
