Ordered a transmission in July that i never received. I cancelled the order in August due to not receiving what i paid for. I have emailed multiple times and they say i will be getting a refund they havnt had time to get to the bank yet just excuses. Its now December and still have not received a refund. At this point Im out ******* and my truck is still broke down because i dont have the funds to buy another transmission untill i get a refund.Business Response

I ordered a 4R100 transmission with upgraded torque converter on 9/19/24 for $1872.50 (price plus tax). I was told I would receive the transmission within 7-10 days. On 10/7/24 I called to check on the transmission since I had not received any more communications or a transmission. He sent an email at that time saying they were waiting on the valve body and electronics to complete and would email when ready. On 11/7/24 I contacted them again and was told that they do not have the transmission and I could request a refund through email. I requested a refund that day and received an email the next day saying Order canceled. Refund check to be mailed to the name and address as it appeared on the check we received with your orderTwo and half weeks went by and still no check. I called AGAIN on 11/26/24 and asked what day the check was mailed and AGAIN he said give me about 10 minutes and Ill let you know. He sent another email saying I checked, mailed last Thursday 21st, to the name and address as it appeared on the check we received with your order.Two more weeks went by and I called AGAIN on 11/5/24 and asked what address the check was mailed to and AGAIN was told give me ***** minutes and Ill get back to you. Then sent me an email saying I checked, sent to address from original invoice. (Address deleted for this post)*********, sc ***** It's out there. If you want I can put stop payment on it and send another from post office with tracking. Let me know.If the check was actually mailed, it was mailed to the wrong address and I have the emails to show it. This activity seems to be a recurring problem with this company if you read the complaints on the BBB. This is fraudulent activity and the business should be investigated and shut down. I intend to file a lawsuit in small claims court if he doesnt actually send me a check with a tracking number timely. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!!!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
The
representative said he mailed a refund check but mailed it to the wrong
address. Im doubtful he ever mailed the check due to he had my correct
address clearly in the email of our original transaction. Now he states he
is going to send a check with a tracking number but that was on 12.6.24 and
I still do not have a check or tracking number. Now he is claiming that he
cant drive to get to the post office because he had eye surgery. He is a
fraud and I plan to contact the licensing board to complain.
I am not satisfied with any outcome so please dont close the case.

I am rejecting this response because:
He states he sent the check to the address on the check but he did not. He emailed me the address he sent it to and it was the wrong address, not the address on a check (which he never actually got a check, it was an electronic check via transfer). Now he is saying he will send a check with a tracking number when he gets to the post office. That was over a month ago, December 6, 2024. I read online that this seems to be a common practice by this guy/business. Seems like a common con man.

On September *******, I sent a personal check to Toms River Transmission to purchase a reconditioned transmission. They cashed the check but gave me the run around as to when I would receive the transmission when I contacted them on the shipping date. I waited and contacted them again and they told me they were waiting on parts. I waited several more weeks and still they gave me the same response about waiting for parts. I canceled the order several weeks ago and they told me that they will send a refund check Oct. *******. It is now 11/14/2024 and I have sent them several emails, asking about my refund but I have yet to get the refund check or even a response as to when I will get my refund. Can you contact them and ask them to do the right thing and send me my refund? Thank you.Business Response

About 12 months ago I was looking for a transmission found their website they electronically withdrew funds from my account a month went by and I called on it and was told that the valve body was broken there waiting on a new one a month after that I called back to find out what was going on the housing had cracked was told for refund your money waited 4 months called back find out where my money was oh I mailed the check I'll put a stop payment and I'll send one when I get to the post office a year agoBusiness Response

Paid for via email check transmission 4T1004x4. Funds where taking out of my bank account. 30 minutes after placing order. Sent email to ** and he told me 10 days max will have transmission. He said he would refund my money after 3 moths of no building my transmission and sending it to me. Now 5 month waiting on him to mail me a check. Can't get to the post office.

I paid a deposit of $1,391 on 3/21/2024. Texted on 3/26/24 was told working on it waiting.Just waiting for two parts to arrive.4/8/24 J.R. texted me converter arrived waiting for output shaft to complete. J.R.texted me a said output shaft is still back ordered. 5/10 J.R said he can cancel the order and send my deposit back. Said he mailed the check to the address that was on the check on 5/10/24. May 21 texted J.R. and said I never received the check.He said he will put a stop payment on the first check and send another from post office with tracking. One lie after the other. 11/02/2022 I ordered a transmission for $1300. 11/22/2022 I was told I should receive it the next day. 12/1 I was told there was a problem with a case. 1/18/2023 I asked for a refund. 2/24/23, still getting the run around in a refund.12/36/2023 updated with a new address. I ordered a transmission on 1/4/24, after several weeks I emailed on progress, he said parts are backordered. After several more weeks parts are still on backorder. Next emails he said one part came in. Several more weeks other parts came. After another week I asked on progress he said on installation he broke case and would have to order new one, but also Said if I didn't want to Wait I could email for refund. He said give it another week so I did. So finally after reading BBB complaints I could see this was a scam. So I emailed for refund. JR with this business promises a time frame for product you pay for. Then when paid and he ahs cashed the check backs out of every promise he sends via email. Then in email states if you want a refund just say so. When that is done he sends you a refund 25 percent less than paid. Via email he states he will refund your money and never a mention of a restocking fee and this isnt printed on any invoice or any email he sends nor does he state see my website for our refund policy. You cn look on YELP and see he has done this over and over to customers. I just want the $406 he owes me.Business Response

Customer was told time frame was based on parts availability and shipping schedules. Clearly states all canceled orders prior to 6 weeks is subject to restocking fee. Had he waited he would have received his transmission.
